Spider-verse wasn't Marvel, it was Sony. Deadpool casting also wasn't Marvel, it was 20th century fox who also made the decision to make Logan and Deadpool R-rated.
Would this be a best decision by Marvel if they decide to do this, What do you think Spider-Man would be like if Sony lost the rights to him and the other characters from his comics? Is Tom Holland's Spider-Man really part of the MCU since Disney and Sony are sharing the rights to use him not to mention that he's not getting the same kind of recognition as the other MCU heroes after Avengers Endgame like how no one recognizes his actions from that movie leading to him not being featured in Avengers Con during the Miss Marvel Disney Plus and him not appearing in the Marvel Studios intro for movies and Disney Plus shows after Spider-Man No Way Home? I don't know what to even think of Spider-Man after everything that happened during Spider-Man No Way Home where everything feels messed up as Scarlet_Witch using her Hex on Westview. Damage Control don't remember the interrogation with Peter but remember attacking Spider-Man for a huge misunderstanding. Also Spider-Man is clearly limited to whenever Sony let Disney use him in the MCU since he wasn't featured in Avengers Con during the Miss Marvel Disney Plus show despite the fact that he fought against Thanos on his home planet and getting the Nanotechnology Infinity Gauntlet away from him along with the fact that he stopped appearing in the Marvel Studios intro. If anything, I want to see Tom Holland playing some other Marvel hero in the MCU like one of the Mutants, Captain Britain, Machine-Man or Quasar
Ryan remolds was born for the role. He’s chatty, had some ripped roles, and can make some nice s liners. But they better change that rule on him being able to make refrence one liners in Deadpool 3 because that’s what made the first 2 very fun to watch. If they don’t change it then that movie is half gonna stink.
Casting Benadict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Vincent Denafio as Kingpin, making Thanos the overarching villain of Phase One, spiltting the last Avenger movie in two, adding the multiverse, having movies that represents minorities (Shang-Chi & both Black Panther movies), making Phase One about the Infinity Stones, having Taika Waikta direct Thor Ragnarok, and James Gunn direct the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy.
Do not be ashamed of a scar. It simply means you were stronger than whatever tried to hurt you.” “It’s through adversity that you find the strength you never knew you had.”- Christie Brinkley “Next to trying and winning, the best thing is trying and failing.”- L.M. Montgomery “Even if happiness forgets you a little bit, never completely forget about it.”- Jacques Prevert
15:10 The thing that the copycats don't get is the MCU was a slow burn in Iron Man. The only hints were Coulson pestering Tony throughout the film, only to namedrop SHIELD at the end, and Nick Fury appearing during the credits to namedrop the Avengers. All the copycats however blatantly say WE WANT TO MAKE A CINEMATIC UNIVERSE throughout, like the failed Dark Universe.
It makes me think of the differences between Batman V Superman & Civil War, which released in the same year. There was absolutely no buildup to Batman & Superman fighting, especially when that was Ben Affleck’s first movie as Batman. Civil War had the first 2 Avengers movies & Winter Soldier to explain why Steve & Tony chose their sides. The DECU wanted to rush it while the MCU took their time.
What I like about Fox's X-Men movies is their sense of individuality, and their ability to think outside the box Most MCU movies look the same, and they almost never take risks
There was a time when it was the opposite. Critics complained the Xmen movies got stale while the MCU got the explored more genres. Of course, now both Xmen and MCU are dead.
Tobey Maguire and J.K. Simmons are what makes the original Spider-Man movies so great!!! That's why they were brought back for Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies!!!
I would’ve been very upset if their #1 spot wasn’t my #1! But so happy they acknowledged it, because that was BY FAR the best decision. The MCU wouldn’t be where it was without that decision. No doubts about it for me.
I mean I know the MCU now is getting a reshuffle and are looking for talented directors to give them more success since Phase 4 and 5 weren't exactly that successful, I mean there were some rare exception in giving us some good Phase 4 and 5 content but there are some that just missed the mark
4:51 the main reason why _The Avengers_ is called either _Marvel’s The Avengers_ or _Avengers Assemble_ in the United Kingdom and in Ireland is: 1. there was a very famous British spy TV show _The Avengers_ starring Patrick Macnee and Diana Rigg that ran for six seasons starting in 1961, and 2. the movie adaptation of that TV show, starring Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman, was released under the name _The Avengers_ in 1998 (although it was definitely not a success).
It's amazing how many good decisions on this list and on the comments surround casting. IMHO, the casting department of Marvel Studios are the real heroes of the MCU.
RDJ as Iron Man is more legendary. He is basically the real life Tony Stark. I would’ve also said JK Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson. He was so great in the role that no one else has played the character in live action.
talking abput casting...vincent D’Onofrio, scarlet johanson... plus so many good and well known actors in smaller roles... michael douglas, glenn close, john c. riley, benjamin brad, Chiwetel Ejiofor... so many oscar winners and old movie stars... really great
I'm sorry, WatchMojo. But bringing Spider-Man into the MCU is one of the WORST decisions made by Marvel. As if cancelling Tobey Maguire's SPIDER-MAN 4 wasn't awful enough, they prematurely end Andrew Garfield's franchise on a cliffhanger and bring my favorite superhero known for his dark and edgy movies into a jokey franchise that I now hate even more because of this decision. That and bringing both Tobey and Andrew along with most of their villains and Tom Hardy's Venom into the MCU via multiverse in NO WAY HOME. I wanted Andrew Garfield to have redemption and closure in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3, not an AVENGERS movie. That just made me feel cheated and it just broke my heart.

15 YEARS OF THE MCU FRANCHISE.
If there's one thing that I loved about Marvel Studio, it's their decision is making a Cinematic Universe unlike any other film franchises.

A lot praise definitely goes to Kevin Fiege. His vision was pure success.
#16 i always laugh at the "avengers assemble" scene though. Because there's no way anyone heard him say it at the battlefield except those standing right next to him and those few that had the same earpiece/intercom as him. So to everyone else, he was just standing there quietly for 10 seconds and doing nothing haha

Spider-verse wasn't Marvel, it was Sony. Deadpool casting also wasn't Marvel, it was 20th century fox who also made the decision to make Logan and Deadpool R-rated.
Marvel fans: "We want VENOM to be R-Rated. Just like Logan and Deadpool"
Avi Arad: "Venom will be PG-13."
Me: "þussy"
Deadpool's remark after Zeit Guise asked if they wanted a demonstration still makes me laugh. "No, thank you. Listen...we've all eaten at Arby's."😂
I am watching Across the Spider-Verse right now
Making X-men Evolution and Avengers Earth’s mightiest heroes.
yeah
8:18 that was the funniest and realist line ever delivered. I have experienced Arbys in the same way for sure.
"Giving their filmmakers grater autonomy"?
Then why most of the MCU movies are made by directors for hire?
Thank For The Video 💞💗👍😍
Cap should have said “Avengers, Attack!” Since technically they have already assembled 😊😅
No. 15, Excited to see Marshalia Ali's take on the character next
Black Panther nor Shang-Chi are about minorities lol
Anything other than RDJ’s casting as Iron Man in the #1 spot would’ve caused an uproar. Great list, WatchMojo! 😄

I may like Tom Holland as Spidey, but there is no way the casting was better than Deadpool and Logan
4 years after and "Avengers Assemble" still gives goosebumps ❤
That Avengers assemble had me in tears man
Spider-Man No Way Home seeing all 3 Versions of Spider-Man from Alternative Universes was one of The Best Decisions EVER!
Not to everyone.
@@CodyFairlessLee Not for me
@@dimitrytimothee1590 so, you agree with me that it’s one of the worst decisions made by Marvel?
@@CodyFairlessLee Of course
One more thing, recruiting Jon Bernthal as The Punisher. I think I it's one of the best decision from Marvel
What I like about Fox's X-Men movies is their sense of individuality, and their ability to think outside the box
Most MCU movies look the same, and they almost never take risks
yeah, yeah whatever
There was a time when it was the opposite. Critics complained the Xmen movies got stale while the MCU got the explored more genres.
Of course, now both Xmen and MCU are dead.
You’re joking right?
@@Peecamarke you think Disney would have the guts to make an R-Rated movie if Deadpool hadn't done first?
@@ThePrinceofHisOwnKingdom l
Giving post credits and end credits to every movie i think was also best move as it made us to sit through the whole movie upto the end.
No. 6, can't wait to see him again in "Deadpool 3" next
I didn’t even bother watching the list; I knew that RDJ casting as Iron Man would be at #1.
Bringing Tobey and Andrew in back in Spiderman, no way home..that was just mind blowing 🤯
It wasn't
@@dimitrytimothee1590 Have you ever heard of sarcasm?
@@MyVwccStar2023 Doesn't look like it?
@dimitrytimothee1590 Ok, whatever I was just being sarcastic.
I wasn't really mind blown.
Can you guys please do a video on the worst Marvel decisions ever made? I am curious on what your thoughts are.
Tobey Maguire and J.K. Simmons are what makes the original Spider-Man movies so great!!! That's why they were brought back for Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies!!!
I wish they weren't brought back. The MCU is ruining everything I loved about Spider-Man.
@@CodyFairlessLeeWe look up to the guy who is the key of the city unfortunately he isn't reliable and honest
@@dimitrytimothee1590 what are you talking about?!
@@CodyFairlessLee I'm talking about our friendly neighborhood spiderman
I would’ve been very upset if their #1 spot wasn’t my #1! But so happy they acknowledged it, because that was BY FAR the best decision. The MCU wouldn’t be where it was without that decision. No doubts about it for me.
i still get chills when i hear Cap say "Avengers! Assemble" goosebumps
Tobey will always be the best Spiderman.
Yeah, his trilogy rocked compared to the BS of the MCU.
Are we going to see more decisions like these in the future? Which one of these is the best?
I mean I know the MCU now is getting a reshuffle and are looking for talented directors to give them more success since Phase 4 and 5 weren't exactly that successful, I mean there were some rare exception in giving us some good Phase 4 and 5 content but there are some that just missed the mark
Love the video
4:51 the main reason why _The Avengers_ is called either _Marvel’s The Avengers_ or _Avengers Assemble_ in the United Kingdom and in Ireland is: 1. there was a very famous British spy TV show _The Avengers_ starring Patrick Macnee and Diana Rigg that ran for six seasons starting in 1961, and 2. the movie adaptation of that TV show, starring Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman, was released under the name _The Avengers_ in 1998 (although it was definitely not a success).
Hugh Jackman also appeared in Night at the Museum 3 and references Logan during his cameo.
Hooray!
No. 19, Agree 💯 Charlie Cox is Matt Murdock
Slither is by far the most on the underrated movie. I love the mayor in the movie.
It's amazing how many good decisions on this list and on the comments surround casting. IMHO, the casting department of Marvel Studios are the real heroes of the MCU.
I guess the no .1 and it's right, i think I'm not alone. RDJ is the perfect iron man!
Top 10 Greatest Guardians of the Galaxy!
Top 20 Best MCU Guardians Moments!
I don't care what anyone says, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool should be number 1, that casting is just too legendary
RDJ as Iron Man is more legendary. He is basically the real life Tony Stark.
I would’ve also said JK Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson. He was so great in the role that no one else has played the character in live action.
Here's another great idea Marvel had. Making Spider-Man: No Way Home. Bringing together 3 generations of Spidey in a team up we never knew we needed.
1:50 sweet that they added him from the marvel Netflix to the mcu.
Alll that’s missing is the punisher
talking abput casting...vincent D’Onofrio, scarlet johanson... plus so many good and well known actors in smaller roles... michael douglas, glenn close, john c. riley, benjamin brad, Chiwetel Ejiofor... so many oscar winners and old movie stars... really great
I'm sorry, WatchMojo.
Oh, #5. I had *no idea* about the end-credits scene in Iron Man until *six months* later on my iPod.
