I use the Genki Covert Mini Dock as a dock for another room, and the 8-bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller. Both are really, really good and I do recommend. I have the Split Pad Pro for handheld play, but the attachment doesn’t seem to be available in Europe yet.
I might just buy the Split Pad Pro attachment just because i looked on their site and it says it also works with the Split Pad Compact which for me would be more comfortable.
Three of my favorite accessories for my Switch 1. Charging Grip Plus. It's a grip that charges the Joy-Cons. I never really used the grip that comes the Switch because I have big hands and feels very small. The Charging Grip Plus feels very comfortable to hold, but the only con I have is the color. It only comes in grey, but if they had a black color, I would give me first grip to my friend or family member. 2. BASSTOP Portable Dock Replacement. It's the only safe third party dock for the Switch and it's portable. I never liked the OG Switch dock due to it damaging your screen and it's just too big. I can put my Basstop dock in my pocket while my Switch is in my carrying case. Wuff Den is the reason I got that dock and it's how I found these channels. 3. 8BitDo Pro 2. I got the OG Sn30 Pro + after watch your videos and Wuff Den videos I decided to get it and I loved it, but connecting it to different devices is a pain. The new 8BitDo Pro 2 is amazing. It's so fire bruh and the back buttons are a nice touch.
It’s the best the build quality speaks for its self and the rumble is ridiculously good the fact these larger channels aren’t doing videos about it is really weird
There's this new Joy con GameCube like controllers that just came out by Nexigo not a ad or anything high key thinking about getting it, it's what I always wanted after watching a UA-cam video about a few months ago on someone making enjoy cons out of an old GameCube remote and now it actually exist
My problem with the split pad pro attachment, besides availability, is that it wouldn't have hurt them to add gyro AND vibration in there, even if it was only a central single motor. It could have been done, they just didn't really think it thru.
It could be a licensing thing, similar to the way that officially licensed third-party Xbox controllers have to be wired. But it also could be that adding rumble motors, gyro functionality, and the internal batteries to power them would likely have increased the price enough to take it out of impulse buy territory. As it is, the Split Pad Pro is a pretty affordable alternative to Joy-Cons, and its functionality is so low-tech that it can run directly off the Switch without being a huge power draw.
Is the genki covert dock safe for the switch? I remember in the early days or the switch warning on accessories like these that they could break your switch?
Seriously debating between the 8 bit do ultimate vs the switch pro controller. I'm a new switch user so the only controllers I have currently are the joycons. What insights do you guys have on this?
I own both. The 8bitdo Ultimate is definitely the way to go unless you really want amiibo functionality. The controller is more ergonomic and the extra features, like programmable back buttons, are great.
The main issue with the covert dock is that it's limited to either US or UK plugs. Sure if you live anywhere else, it's kinda pointless. Sure you can use an adapter, but that kinda ruins the purpose of carrying less doesn't it?
I wonder if the wired adapter for the split pad works for regular joycons or the Binbok... Would come in handy for latency when using my binbok + mouse setup for 120hz PC gaming.
The Hori Split Pad Pro attachment seems like a terrible deal considering that a Power A wireless controller is $20 more while the wired ones are $25 or even cheaper. Why not just make the Split Pad itself wireless and allow trade ins and make them $60
Or, just cut the price of the split pad pro and attachment and call it a day? Because as it is, they cost roughly the same amount (if not more) than a Pro controller from Nintendo.
Do you recommend any 3rd party controller with analog triggers for Grid Autosport? I know there's the PowerA gamecube and regular gamecube. Any others?
i really like 8bitdo controller. The problem? I am using the controller for PC and most of PC is using Xbox Controller as reference. Having A-B and X-Y positions flipped... makes it hard to play. They have the wired one made for xbox.. but it is wired. This is 1st world problem at its finest
Well... before anyone says "you can get used to it" or "you can always reprogram the button". Believe me, I tried since I was using 8bitdo controller when I was using switch and use the controller to play the game in my PC. Jump button is A but my brain always tells me that it is the bottom buttob to jump
Originally I was using a wired Xbox one controller for my gaming laptop and steam deck, and it worked great..very seamless on both ends…and how the dash button is used, but after wanting a wireless controller the ps4 DualShock is the better option…for my pc and especially steam deck…not only gyro and some deep ass settings including on or off…the trackpad ass well can mimic mouse or touch screen and the touchpad can include 2 additional buttons on the left and right pad. Adjustable color for controller and the deck has a toggle for “switch” style…
I got a 8bitdo Ultimate Controller over Christmas but it will not charge. I like how it feels but it’s frustrating and 8Bitdo support email has not responded.
Can you see, the future of Sony's PlayStation handheld Creation from Japan Like the PlayStation Duo and PlayStation Vita X, What If you Waiting For, They Need 5G Connections Before the new Creation of The PlayStation Portable(PSP)
I am not a fan of the s2. The oled is just bigger and heavier then the original switch. Also, I used my s1 every day before my s2 and oled and it never left a single mark. Just a FYI.
HORI SPLIT PAD PRO…. NO! Wired is NOT a solution! We have giant TVs (mine: 85”) and I sit 10 feet away so NO! Wireless! NYXI or BINBOK …. Seems the best solution! Walk around while you play?! Seems like a great to break stuff!
I finally gave myself a nintendo switch for christmas and I'm already trying to sell it. There are more accessories avaiable then really good games on the switch. Sure, the library is huge, but if you are being honest and remove all the crap, weird, less than average games, what you have are the exclusive games, wich sell for a fortune no matter how much time pass, those never get a really nice discount. There's a handful of third party triple A games suffering to run, and there are nice indie games, sure it's nice to play those on the go, but the switch is not that portable and I can get a better price for the same games on my xbox or Steam. I also feel like stuff takes too much time to be released on the switch and by then I probably already played it. Im sure for a lot of people this is plenty good, but Im quite disappointed, specially because where I live our currency is worth almost six times less compared to the dollar and imported stuff is very very expensive. I paid more for the switch v2 than I have paid for my brand new xbox series S. Sad, gaming is becoming a rich people hobby. If or when my joycons break, I will have to pay almost half the console's price to get new ones. Of course there are stuff I loved about the console, Im having a blast finally playing zelda, but it's not enough value for my money on the long run =/
Those third party controllers some of them are useless. Missing features like rumble or gyro, amiboo? What's the point? Whatever works with some games that don't use it. Maybe a pc controller if best. WOnder if there is any 3ed party controllers joycons that do motion?
I really like the 8bitdo ultimate controller, but it's a shame it's so expensive - even more when considering that my country would probably more than double the costs in taxes only =/
It shows 8bitdo paid you money to say the 8bitdo Ultimate is great. It's a piece of garbage. The Pro2 is a lot better. I know because I had both and I sold instantly the ultimate one.
I love buying stuff for my stuff
My man!
I love buying stuff for my stuff which makes my stuff better, which makes me like buying more stuff for my stuff
better buy more stuff to protect the stuff that you bought for the... yknow
Homies, we won!
Same😊
I will never grow tired of switch accessory videos. Thank you!
Got the fixture S2 recently and this changes everything
I got it as well i love it
If only I got a Switch to buy these accessories 💀😭
I'm a simple guy. I see switch accessories presented. I watch.
How is it when it comes to charging the switch ?
That brawler 64 might solve the N64 games on switch. I might finally get the expansion pack
Definitely going to get the Fixture attachment for my Switch!
Been using the Fixture one, it has become my go to way to play now.
I might just buy the Split Pad Pro attachment just because i looked on their site and it says it also works with the Split Pad Compact which for me would be more comfortable.

The retroflag controller for handheld is awesome. Would love a vid about it.
It’s the best the build quality speaks for its self and the rumble is ridiculously good the fact these larger channels aren’t doing videos about it is really weird
I wholeheartedly agree. It is amazing and these bigger channels need to cover it.
Got the new Bluetooth Brawler64 just before new years (from the kickstarter), and it's fantastic.
I want a Brawler64 style controller but with the 2nd analog stick instead of the buttons..it just looks solid and the color looks nice
There's this new Joy con GameCube like controllers that just came out by Nexigo not a ad or anything high key thinking about getting it, it's what I always wanted after watching a UA-cam video about a few months ago on someone making enjoy cons out of an old GameCube remote and now it actually exist

I want that Pac-Man version of split pad pro…always sold out tho! 😢
Where's that hoodie from? Looks really nice

Seriously debating between the 8 bit do ultimate vs the switch pro controller. I'm a new switch user so the only controllers I have currently are the joycons. What insights do you guys have on this?
Get the Ultimate, it's better in the long run, especially since the only difference is rumble, and maybe Amibo usability
RetroFlag controller beats everything the switch pad and all the alternative brands are leagues below
But can the split pad pro attachment be used with joycons?
I wonder if the wired adapter for the split pad works for regular joycons or the Binbok... Would come in handy for latency when using my binbok + mouse setup for 120hz PC gaming.
I was curious about that too. It probably would, they use the same set of connectors on the bottom.
@@roflBeck you mean on the sides? The bottom of the binbok is usb-c, but charging & firmware updates only, iirc
@@TheMattMercy yeah I mean the connectors in the attachment rails. Normal joycons don't have C ports.
There should be some USB to 2.4 GHz converters out there. If you want you could cut the cable short and mod it into a wireless one.
Wired devices not just send signal data, but they also draw power from USB. Therefore, the solution does not work.
@@Halz0holic you have no idea what you're talking about
Will the Fixture 2 work with the 8bitdo Ultimate controller?
Was that the one he was talking about being lose and walking around.
love these videos, you make it so interesting
The split pad pro attachment should have been wireless for 40 bucks….30 plus 10 shipping.
I like the skull and co dock
Are you picking up the retro fighters bladegc controller? I think their controllers are getting so much better quality
Can the attachment also work on the splitpad compact?
Yes
The Hori Split Pad Pro attachment seems like a terrible deal considering that a Power A wireless controller is $20 more while the wired ones are $25 or even cheaper. Why not just make the Split Pad itself wireless and allow trade ins and make them $60

That jacket is amazing. I need it
Do you recommend any 3rd party controller with analog triggers for Grid Autosport? I know there's the PowerA gamecube and regular gamecube. Any others?
Analog triggers don't exist in Switch.
These videos never get old
If I were to buy a Split Pad Pro attachment, would it work on PC?
I wish 8bitdo would make Joy-Con alternatives
You can buy a VERY good wired controller from 8bitdo for $30. Buying a bridge for already bad grip controllers is just bad idea.
That 8bit pro is waaaaaay better than the Switch pro one and I can use it on PC/moible.
Common Kevin Kenson W
Yes, more stuff for my outdated hardware.
i really like 8bitdo controller.

I'm hoping you'll cover the Nyxi Wizard GameCube split pad for Switch. 😊

KEVIN! REVIEW THE NEW NYXI WIZARD JOYPAD!
Can you use the brawler 64 for other switch games like botw?
I feel as though I like buying things for my switch more than I like playing my switch
I have an addiction
I neeed that hoodie! Where can I get it from pleeease??

The hori controller for the switch I purchased the buttons were crap cheap slow pushing only.
Hey! Kevin where buy the Nintendo jacket?
Where's that jacket from? Looks awesome.
Nice hat bro
I am not a fan of the s2. The oled is just bigger and heavier then the original switch. Also, I used my s1 every day before my s2 and oled and it never left a single mark. Just a FYI.

where did you get that jacket
HORI SPLIT PAD PRO…. NO! Wired is NOT a solution! We have giant TVs (mine: 85”) and I sit 10 feet away so NO! Wireless! NYXI or BINBOK …. Seems the best solution!

The Hori Splitpad is such a joke. There are so many better alternatives.
The split pad pros suck ass. Split pad compact tho....they're amazing
I'm a fan of the Split Pad Compact too. Great d-pad on that thing.
