Being able to be compared to your inspirations is what a lot of artists strive for and imitation is the highest form of flattery. I mean Paige and plant are getting older so it's nice to see that familiar energy on display for a younger gen who never had zepplin played out for them.

The first time I heard this song was about 2 years ago, when I heard a Robert Plant interviewed. He was asked if there were any new bands that he liked. And he said, yeah, Greta Van Fleet. So I checked it out and was impressed. Plant said Josh Kiszka reminded him of his sound from Led Zeppelin 3. My wife and I saw GVF the last time they were in Seattle. They were good live.
My son is a fan of this band. Took him to his first rock concert in San Francisco. Greta Van Fleet are really GOOD!!! Very talented, and with their own style. They're going to make it big!
When they did this video, the combined ages of these 3 brothers and their best friend drummer was barely over 80. They now play to sold out arenas around the world.

Saw these guys live in Toronto, about 5th row. I thought there was no way they’d be as good live, and that Josh would be conservative with his voice. That was not the case and they went above and beyond what I expected. Josh killed every long and high note in every song with no exception. Great band and I can’t wait for their future!!

These kids were 15 and 17 when this was made. Their new stuff is even better. When this came out Mom said they could go on tour after they graduate high school.
I was in the hospital the first time I heard these guys. I was in my bed browsing youtube videos when this song popped up in my feed. I'm 43 now, this was early 2018. I watched this and felt like a million bucks and had a little tear in my eye - because I knew these guys were bringing back real rock n roll to it's roots and they were young and still a bit unknown. Within a year they'd gone to #1 without even a full album. They built their fanbase on youtube videos. I really felt like it was 1968 and the first time my parents heard a band called Led Zeppelin.

“Edge of Darkness” and “Meet on the Ledge” by Greta Van Fleet are masterpiece songs in my opinion, as is their whole first album, From the Fires 🔥. I highly recommend you give them a listen! Enjoy! 🤗

Four dudes, actually playing their instruments, tapping into old blues riffs, letting what goes on tape (or drive) be what it is. Hope kids out there take something out of this and pick up that Strat or Les Paul and listen to some old Clapton, Hendrix, EVH, Randy Rhoads, etc., and get inspired.
