    Thanks Rosey,I started having my agloanema plant.
    Before i used bermicast soil i always see to it na buhusan ng boiled water.My friends told me it will killed the nutrients of soil
    yet i dont listened them.Pati potting soil na mini mix ko,binubuhusan ko boiled water pero dahil pandemic na at wala ng income na avoid ko mag boil water on my gas stov na.need ko mag tipid.

    Once again, this was a very helpful video, thank you. I stopped using loam soil after the gigantic sansivieras and aloes I had been caring for since 2000 died last year when I repotted them in loam soil. Only my zeezee survived which I have since repotted in my new mix. Now, for non-aroids and non-philodendrons, I use equal parts of vermicast, pumice, and cocopeat with a bit of carbonized rice hull. For my anthuriums and philodendrons I layer on additional coco husk or cubes to the said mixture to make it more airy.

    Also, how about any systemic pesticide to add? Planning to add starkle g and neem cake but not sure how much.

    Thank you!!

      I dont do those na sa coco cubes... i only disinfect spaghanum moss which i use sa propagations. Though pwede naman ibabad mo cla sa mainit na tubig b4 using them. I saw a vid na they boil cocopeat to disinfect especially kapag ggamitin mo sya sa edible plants like lettuce.

    Hi. Is it ok to change the potting soil of a plant that is originally in loam soil to a soil less potting mix? Are there steps to be taken before repotting them? I would assume removing as much of the loam soil as possible? I recently got a few indoor plants and would like to repot them once they've adapted. Are there plants that will not thrive well with a soil less mix as well? Thanks and sorry for all the questions :D

    • @RoseysGreenery
      @RoseysGreenery  3 роки тому

      Based from experience philos, syngoniums, aglaonemas, hoyas, snake plants wala naman naging issue on adjustment. Alocasias, they thrive for me with soil pa din (garden or loam). I end up putting back some soil sa alocasias together with that mixture and bumabalik naman sigla nila. If for some reason natransplant shock any of my plants after repotting, i try to put back some of their old medium.

    • @RoseysGreenery

      Di ko masabi kasi I only have 1 marantha prayer plant and it has garden soil and no coco cubes, ricehull etc. The rest of my calathea like the rattle snake nasa more than 50% ung carbonized rice hull. Based from experience mas gusto nila moist, so i guess laruin mo ung ratio na mas magretain sya ng moisture. 😋

    May loam soil sa market na parang 10 percent eh basura ang laman pag open mo. Haha.
    Ate, May suggestion ako. Try mo mag vlog sa next episode.. Try mo manood at bumili sa live plant selling, then bumili sa facebook market, facebook group and facebook page ng plant page. Very timely ngayon at para safe ka din sa pag plant tour. Discuss mo paano ang approach sa seller and how to pay sa online. At may mga term na ginagamit yung seller kung paano makipag usap. Kahapon ko nga lang nalaman kung ano meaning ng SSD. Haha.
    Ingat ka. Happy #MonsteraMonday 💚🌱❤️
