My friend recruited me to repair his jeans after wearing out both pockets. I had no idea what to do, but thanks to you I will be able to return these with pockets intact. You rock. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for sharing this!! The finished pocket looks fantastic! I also needed to hear your words of encouragement to "Just Start!" I have been dragging my feet on a project out of fear that it won't work like I want it to! I'm heading to my craft room to "Start!!" God Bless You!
Oh, Kim, that stupid fear is such a trap. Trust me, I have had plenty of things that didn't work like I wanted them to BUT, I have had way more things that have work out as expected and sometimes even better than expected. I am excited for you that you have decided to "Start!!"
You took words right out of my mouth! I feel the same way! I'm still trying to gain my confidence even though I feel very proud of myself for what I've accomplished already.
I appreciate you encouraging us because I needed to hear words to get me motivated because I'm still learning and take a while to brainstorm because I need more experience and more confidence
Hi Natalie. Thanks so much for putting this brilliant video online. I have never used a sewing machine before and I just did my first successful 'sew', doing my jeans pocket patch! (My wife helped with getting the thread threaded right on the machine!). I'm totally chuffed as we say in England (or we used to in the 80s anyway ;-))
Thank you for this informative and excellent video. I unfortunately, do not own a sewing machine. I may just ask for my mom to help me out. I understand the bond with old jeans myself.
Thank you! My cousin asked me to repair her jeans, and they have a hole in the back pocket just like the one you patched, as well as several other tears all over. She can't afford to replace them, so I will be patching and reinforcing them. Your video has helped me in the one repair I wasn't sure about.
My husband needs his jeans repaired but only on that corner that you said you had to do but didn’t show it. How do you work around that thick corner with the machine?
Hey, Jaye. I didn't work around the upper edge of the pocket. I removed the pocket stitching about 2" to 2.5" down. Then I put a patch on the under side of the jeans. I did the same type of repair stitching as in the video and then I reattached the pocket. I hope this helps
@@mywithallmyart"not cash for sure"? Sounds like his pockets got worn from your lovely light fingers slipping his wallet out! Lol 😂🤣 TEASING! Excellent video!!

Worked like a charm on a pair of Jean shorts I’ve needed to fix. Never thought to remove it and reattach. Brilliant.

Way better than what I am about to do to my jeans with an iron on patch.
Thanks. Yeah, I have used the iron on patches before and am not crazy about them.

Thank you!
does his wallet always cause a hole in his pocket?
Two things caused the hole. The wallet is super thick with all kinds of papers and stuff (not cash for sure) and the jeans are well worn!!!

Buy a new pair
That's one solution. Thanks for the advice!
