- Update 15 has released for Hell Let Loose featuring a brand new map, Mortain. This was built entirely by Team17, Cover Six Studios and Expression Games.

Far too unoptimized. Frame rate is trashed.

Not enough variety and balance in map. To close quarters based. Lazy devs...hardly any accessible buildings. Map not optimised. Good luck trying to align your MG in any of the few windows you can reach in the builds. Overall give it a 6.5/10. I kinda expected a little more given the lack of real content in this game for the last 2 yrs.
@@tanialemme7856 It isn't much of a defence but MG placement is pretty crap on most maps lol. I agree that having more accessible buildings, especially the small chapel and the big church would have been cool. Overall I think the map is pretty good, 7.2 out of 10.

Meanwhile the game has only three Eastern Front maps and I still don't know why they released Skirmish on wide-open maps and not on urban maps like Kharkov, Stalingrad or Carentan - given that they even tested it on Kharkov.

Whenever I play HLL I do 10 push ups when I die then 10 body weight squats next time. Do that for a week and cone back to me and tell me how much stronger you are.

Not gonna lie, I’ve begun doing this recently so I’ll get back to you about how it works
The map is phenomenal. The most impressive thing about Hell Let Loose maps is their replication of the real life location they're based off. It's very hard to create good level design when you're inhibited by this design principle to replicate the geography of real world locations, but Mortain absolutely achieves impactful and memorable level design accross the capture points.
I haven’t played to many matches on the new map yet but I liked what I played.
Overall, I like the flow of the map from the Forrest to the east toward to town in the west. The town and mid point church are probably my favorite parts. Tanking is 100% going to need infantry support at least until they hit the town.
Overall I am pretty happy.
Any new map is good. Let’s be honest everyone has their own favorites and most of the time their favorite is not the same as the next person.
My only “complaint” is that the city area isn’t a middle point or at least a secondary sector. Also the main church should be open.
Agreed. Everyone and their dog knows the main church should be accessible
They said later in future development they are gonna rework the map again to make both churches open
The update broke a few things
Hits not registering, unable to hide chat messages, and disconnections, but the map is very very interesting to play and feels a lot like Hürtgen forest. You gotta move slowly and plan your attacks instead of running around wildly.
I had a glitch today where I couldn't hear my grenades go bang after I threw them, it would just be silent.
Hit reg has been bad since U11, and U13.5 made it much worse, and its recovered over time to U11 levels. But it's a real shame to hear it's worse.
I had hints not be able to be removed, and had my map glitch to where I couldnt zoom, and sometimes when spawning the spawn page wouldn't register my clicks for minutes on end
Map isn't super great but the really problem is the fact that THE CONSTANT CRASHES HAVEN'T BEEN FIXED
A good map and they finally fixed the voting. I had a blast playing today.
I love the new map! I hope they add plane tree and palm smock for Germany for maps like Kursk, mortain, driel

I kept dropping frames when I played it so I moved around slower. Pissed me off cause I couldn't react quickly enough to enemies.

Playing as offensive in Mortain seems impossible to win. First point “southern approach” was impossible to take we were spawn trapped at HQ3 like what? We were suppose to be attackers 😂
We need some Japanese island maps.
The grass pop in is absolutely awful. It’s especially noticeable when running down roads where the grass ends. It’s so bad.
I had this issue in one game, the grass was rendering in weird patches but this was only true in that match. For some reason the next couple of games on Mortain didn’t have that. Must be a glitch or bug, rather than working as intended🐞

I’m not loving the new map, need to play it a few more times to make a final judgement. I prefer the urban maps.
Although new map is welcome.how about fixing previous bugs first.
Hell let loose community is for the most part all good, Last night I ran into this pos who decided to repeatedly team kill me, so I got pissed an texted the 🤡 I get a two month ban from texting or chat rooms

@@fintanmccann1128 i dont get the hate. This map is a blast and is way less linear and boring than the copy and pasted hedge rows/open feilds that every map uses. Can you explain?
@@jeffpienta4532 it seems one sided to me. the majority of structures that you can enter face towards the American points. So not only do the Germans have better guns but they also have far better cover for most of the map.

@@smaulee indeed. in all of the american defense points there's more buildings facing towards the point than away from it. The german side has a cakewalk surrounding the points

Had an absolute blast on this map for the 3 matches I played today. It’s getting a lot of hate but I’m enjoying it. Yeah it drops me from like 110 frames to 80-90 frames but who cares it’s fun
