    First off, thank you for giving me hope during my recovery. Im 32 days post accident, and i never thought about my neck possibly being the issue.
    Kind of a broad question, but how do you figure out which of these issues is causing the problem? I have a feeling its partially neck, but im not entirely sure. I know i have been having dizziness and tracking issues, so possible vestibular. I’ve also had low libido issues since the accident. I lost my father last year so i feel like it might definitely be a mental health issue as well, but i guess im just confused on which this could be. You made the analogy about the concussion maze, and you need to pick a door, and same with the concussion pyramid, which is helpful forsure.

    It’s been two months since the top of my head was hit by a heavy metal ceiling trap door that unexpectedly opened and swung down on my head. I’m dealing with neck stiffness, dizziness, sensitivity to sound, developed a hoarse voice, low blood pressure and pulse. It’s gotten worse over time. I’m seeing a physical therapist and recently a chiropractor. I’m hoping to improve soon so I can get back to my active routines.

    Would you touch on "Marty Feldman" syndrome...I made that phrase up because my husband, 5 months after a dump truck wrecked our lives, believed his eyes were acting independently of each other. The panic and fear was indescribable.

    Very informative. One of the most valuable pieces of information as I have had pcs for 13 years and continue to have terrible vertigo with nausea as well as visual and hearing issues. Being able to identify a local Clinic with specific concussion training that can address all testing and rehab concurrently is a godsend! Terri Scott

I am finally now healing after having PCS for over 3 months and it was the best money spent. People from all over go to see him. He was a god send for me. I am now going to be starting treatment for neck misalignment through a certified upper cervical specialist. The neck is giving some issues here and there. Best of luck to you all. Excellent explanation. Question: When riding a bicycle, a helmet can prevent skull fracture, but does not prevent concussions. According to your research, concussion/whiplash is more a neck injury. Prevention of bicycling head injuries/concussions could be as simple as a a helmet with protective neck collar (@~16:09)?? Thoughts?

    Thank you so much Dr Cam. These videos have been life-changing and very informational. There is truly nobody in the world that I have found that knows nearly as much as you. Ive experience multiple mTBIs and you have helped me narrow it down to my neck being 1 of 5 main cause. I was great until I started doing neck exercises. Since then I have been experiencing extreme ANS dysfunction since I did neck exercises. Peripheral neuropathy, temp comtrol issues, anxiety, fatigue, etc.
    You mentioned strengthening the neck, but I'm now terrified I did damage to my vagal nerve.
    What is your professional opinion on the iron neck device for neck strengthening? Very concerned this was the initial trigger and don't want to put more muscle tension on nerves, vertebrae. However you also advised exploring the culprit so to speak. Thank you in advance I would love to hear your thoughts.

    • @CompleteConcussions
      @CompleteConcussions  6 місяців тому +1

      Generally, it's not neck strengthening and exercises that are needed...it's moreso manual therapy to restore proper neck function. Then, once the neck is moving properly and more functional stability training can begin.

I’ve been visiting a chiropractor for all this time and more recently the relief I’m getting from an adjustment has gotten shorter and shorter. I’m in chronic mid- levels of pain (5ish/10). Hi there - often times when we are starting to see plateaus in treatment it could be an indication that something else is going on beneath the surface - autonomic issues, hormone issues, inflammation, etc. One thing that may help you to unlock this is the Concussion Fix program (Google concussion fix and see what you think!).
