I haven't seen any other videos on this so I'm either the first person to have this happen to, I'm doing something wrong, or I'm the one who always has camera around.
Great video! I wish I would have watched this yesterday before I ended up getting seven stitches in my thumb. I have the w68 and I'm loving it but like you said nothing in manual about clearing a jam I opened the flywheel cover with machine off obviously. Disconnected PTO and was just working flywheel back and forth and jam broke loose but fly wheel spun and caught my thumb ouch. Again greatly appreciate the video now I know how to safely remove the jam.
I just jammed my machine this afternoon. I looked at those springs and had the same idea, but didn't have the time or energy. It is so good to know I was on the right track. THANKS!!! Now, where did I put that crowbar?
Been thinking about getting this machine. But concerned if it can jam. Why couldn’t you reverse the infeed roller to eject the stuck log. I thought that is what it is for?
If I was closer to the machine, and heard the rpms dropping down, i definitely could have. Once the machine stalls the rollers stop because they run off the PTO.
Just jammed my WC68 this morning. This is just what I need to get going again. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Happens to the best of us :) Glad to help!
