I thought with 215hp it saying H.O. is a laughable but compared to the 3rd gen 305s guess it is in comparison... It would be snappy of it didn't have like 273:1 gears, decent 1st gear the hit 2nd gear n it falls on it's face. Needs a swap! How bout a 3rd gen 5.7 hemi? They are a hot ticket at the moment... how'd that b for a slap in ford fan boys faces! Prob get me lumped up.... I'm broke I only can afford upgrade shifter arm n knob..🥺. I did put a bumping system in it from all the hand me downs from my constantly evolving sound system in my bAsS van.
Really nice job 😎
Aero package for something you're going to drive round a parking lot in 1st and 2nd gear?
Oooo kkkkk.
Sounds like you don't know much about autocross. Search "A-mod autocross" - I prefer track work, but go try autocross and get schooled on raw time by some goober in a box stock civic Si with a giant hat.
You went backwards on the transmission. TH400 is a beast but lacks overdrive and the steep first gear of the 700r4.
They shuda put in a built up CK 700
Jesus that General Electric green on the engine is hideous
Saying a 28 year old car handles like junk well yeah but it was good in it’s day for a stocker.
That's an RS. They didn't get the performance suspension.
I still got my 3rd gen RS camaro 305 TBI. I hate the TBI system although it does save me gas but runs like a V-6 instead of a V8. Gonna LS Swap it later. I do miss my old IROC-Z, a bastard ran into me couple years back.
My goodness at all the dang ads
I bull shot no one. My pops has a berlinetta 1985 in the garage Yoder a pile of random shit. I’m gona rebuild/fix her. Got water in the motor. That’s all I know. I cleans all that to get access to that beast ❤️🙏this is destiny
I sure would have liked to have seen a L31 Vortec 350 instead of the 5.3L LS.
Powernation is ok but, it would be WAY cooler if the whole video wasn't used as a commercial for turtle wax, rain x, rhino liner, truck nutz, etc.
My first Camaro was a 77 lt followed by a 79 z28 followed by an 87 iroc with t tops and back than I thought the 305 tpi coupled to the 5 spd man was balls to the wall lmao!!
I was always bummed that before 93' you couldn't have the 350 with a manual...lame. I waited until 95', and had a lot of fun diving and modding my LT1 Z28.
At about that era I rented a Caviler. I called it the Cadaver. I don't think I need to explain. The best cars of that era, at their best would just be OK by today's standards. Honestly the average 10 year old Toyota Celica is a better car than those cars were when new.
Bahaha, my 6 cylinder 93 Holden Commodore made 172 Hp from the factory, and that was a family sedan
Lost interest when he took that can of seafoam out.
Yeah it never helped a stuck lifter, only a true oilflush did it, seafoam to me is overrated...
Good thing they put the high mileage SeaFoam in!
What they don’t show you here is how brutal it is to get to the engine Mount bolts unless you’ve done it before, and you’re not going to get it on your own
I'm not a 3rd gen camaro guy but I was told that the lower control arm needs to come out. Is that true?
A pair of mechanics with clean hands and the same hair cut?...Weird hahahaa!...JK, ty for the post, I love that style of Camaro as many don't. Cleetus McFarland has 'Toast', proving it can be a mean machine when built right...

I have an ‘89 RS, and mine has 305k miles
If this car came with those stripes from the factory it could be a heritage edition. In Which case they just ruined a pretty rare Camaro.
thier taking a astreet legal car and permamently taking it off the road for ever.
Ok.
Good thing its only a gm, no loss.
@@AndyFromm too bad Chrysler blows and ford sucks
@@bilbobaggins4710 Yeah, you tell him!
@@Icutmetal just did 😁👍
I wouldn't own either if you paid me
At first glance I was like, here are guys I have never seen before on a car show. Then when they started talking I said to myself, they use the same stupid cadence/inflection in their voice as the Powernation tools. I scrolled down and low and behold. It's a trap!
Oh look an LS swap. Snore. Couldn't you find a roller to butcher? Then you would be justified in gutting it.
And we dont want to swap out the cracked dash to keep it looking stock? But it'll have body mods? Who think of this crap?
Give the boys some time they'll get their act straight
Y'all do all that work just to match it with an autotragic. T56 magnum would have been a MUCH better choice.
You really should talk when you don’t know what you’re talking about
@@mikestoms4015 what? You gonna hit me with the " aUtoMaTics aRe fAster thAn MaNuAls " ?
@@devontesavage2738 that automatic was made and designed for an auto cross. Me personally would prefer a manual I even have a t56 in my gto lol it’s just don’t talk down on them like they did something wrong when they got an automatic made for their specific application
