This game is easily the best Pokemon game I have played with Pokemon Black and White (as well as B2 and W2) being a close second due to how much I adored those games... honestly they don't need to make a full 3D remaster of Black and White, just pull a BDSP (though not as much as a 1 to 1 remake) and make Pokemon Legends Kyurem; you start in Lacunosa Town and have the lore surround Kyurem, you wander around for a while, you hear powerful footsteps coming from the Giant Chasm, as you approach the cave entrance, Kyurem lunges out and is about to attack when Cobalion, Virizion and Terrakion arrive to protect you from him Kyurem leaves and when you return, everyone laughs off what happened, claiming that the "Swords of Justice" would never protect a human, citing the tragedy that occurred a century ago (the one that made the trio cut ties with humans) but after you describe Kyurem, you're brought to the village elder... he/she explains that Kyurem fell to Earth a millennia ago, and has been known to descend upon Lacunosa Town during cold, dark nights to prey on the towns inhabitants! The story would have you piece together the story of Kyurem, how the heros of Truth and Ideals became enemies and how the Original Dragon came to be, with the final story boss being either Kyurem-W, Kyurem-B or even the Original Dragon itself! Now who wouldn't want that?!
Good to know I wasn't the only one who named my Typhlosion after a weed joke, dude just looks perma stoned I'm surprised he doesn't start every battle "dazed"
Missed opportunity to say “Arceus” differently each time. x’D Pokémon Arkeus Pokémon Arseus Pokémon Ah-say-us Pokémon Arse-us Pokémon Arc-yus Arceus? Pretty sure it’s pronounced Arceus. Is it pronounced Arceus or Arceus?

Yea Pokemon had the same gameplay for 25 years. You can see how they would've been fun in the 90's, but obviously the gameplay grew outdated 10 years ago so we needed this change.
Have you read any fanfiction on Pokémon!? It can be anything from a pocket dimension built using imagination and a time dilation to solitary confinement that constructs memory wipes to create blind loyalty.
As a person who played this game I was waiting for the reveal of the true god of space which is not Palkia but the dude that will take all your money just to find one more free spot in the bag
Give me a game with the open exploration and engagement with pokemon like this has but let me directly control my pokemon as they battle with actual combat instead of turn-based and you have all my money.
Ive enjoyed the game a lot but it would be more interesting if some of the pokemon were hostile to each other naturally. It that happened wed probably had to wait another year
So far i'm in love with this game, i'm addicted! I personally don't dislike anything about it. Lots of people are complaining about the graphics, but i like them. Pokemon always had its own aesthetic
My only complaints are that I wish more of the trainer battles were like 6v4 or something instead of mostly 6v1, and that like 95% of the wild Pokémon spawn in the same exact place, I’d prefer more randomness or variety in their spawn locations
@@Spoobley I agree on you with the randomness. But the trainer thing is intentional because people arent good with pokemon yet and arent good enough to control 6 as akari says after the begging trial. (what she said was something like you can go to the pastures to get your pokemon and fill up your team and that theoretically someone could use 6 pokemon but it would be near impossible to do and that no one has done it)
@@iceynitro223 Yeah I noticed that but I think its dumb cause one if no one has done it then why did the commander, beni, and the dude we fight at the end have full teams. Which im glad they did cause it was really fun fighting them but if pokemon are so dangerous and hard to handle then why did they have full teams and two why do i have 600 pokemon in my pastures. I think its a problem in most mainline games too that there are so many battles with people that have 1-3 mons. I get that its a kids game but if they want to step up their game i think increasing opponent teams is a pretty easy way to do it
People kept comparing it to Breath of the Wild from the trailers, but it seems much more inspired by Monster Hunter, which is a better fit for the series to draw from than Zelda anyway..
boy oh boy, this Pokemon Game sure looks fun! I do so hope that the next one won't be laggy, glitchy, and a general love letter to the fact that yearly releases are a terrible idea that stifles any creativity and joy in the making of a game!
ahahaha the swing at the item satchel near the end there. He is the true villain! He kinda stares you down as you walk by him too as if to say "Hey... I could really use some more of that money you're makin'"
4:26 Did he have to say it like that XD. Anyways, I really love this game. I've only had it for like a week and almost have played 40 hours. I recently got into pokemon more. I use to collect cards years ago and I played like a game here and there years ago, but eventually, I finally got Sword some point last year and played it so much. I got Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl the day it was released. My GF got me this game for valentines day which I didn't expect because she loves pokemon so much. She has, like, all the pokemon games that came out for 3Ds, and maybe DS. Not sure. Anyways, I love how this game ties into the other games. It is tedious to have to catch the same pokemon so many times, defeat them over and over, have them use the same attack over and over, etc. But I don't mind tedious tasks and enjoy it. Also, I like the story. I just wonder how they can push the games even further. I know the next title will probably go back to the original formula but I want more open-world type pokemon games.
You know what if your character in the traditional Pokémon games just ignored the trainers that approached them, didn’t turn to look at them when they come over and just said “our eyes haven’t met I don’t have to battle you lalalalalalal”
The fake title at the end made me laugh. I’m glad that I wasn’t the only one thinking this was at least a little like Breath of the Wild. It looks like it was built on the same game or graphics engine.
@@SegaDisneyUniverse I mean that kinda obvious with how they presented the trailers though, saldy they didn't quite capture what made BOTW good in it's open world
Whenever I see Mr. Mime, I wonder if he didn't suffer from a nervous breakdown from being crammed in a pokeball and forced to fight so many times. He isn't miming a box. He thinks he's still trapped inside the pokeball.
As much as I love most of the new mechanics added in PLA I absolutely hate what they did with the combat, it feels like a barely functional, stripped down version of Final Fantasy X's without any of the strategy involved and stats and levels meaning virtually nothing. Literally the worst thing the Pokémon company can do right now is carry this butchered version of the battle system into the main line games.
I really need someone to make a compilation of all the new and innovative features in Legends Arceus compared to the pixelmon mod for Minecraft. It is seriously hilarious how many of the new and best systems have been in pixelmon for YEARS already.
This is exactly the pokemon game I've been asking for and I really hope they eventually abandon the main formula in favor of this open world-ish style, they just need to toss in some pokemon stadium and online lobby to perfect the experience.
I would actually love a new Pokemon Colosseum game. I know it's unrealistic to ask for every single Pokemon, but I still love the idea of using the actual Pokemon you use in the main games in battle mode. Plus the minigames were so fun!

This game is easily the best Pokemon game I have played with Pokemon Black and White (as well as B2 and W2) being a close second due to how much I adored those games... honestly they don't need to make a full 3D remaster of Black and White, just pull a BDSP (though not as much as a 1 to 1 remake) and make Pokemon Legends Kyurem; you start in Lacunosa Town and have the lore surround Kyurem, you wander around for a while, you hear powerful footsteps coming from the Giant Chasm, as you approach the cave entrance, Kyurem lunges out and is about to attack when Cobalion, Virizion and Terrakion arrive to protect you from him
Kyurem leaves and when you return, everyone laughs off what happened, claiming that the "Swords of Justice" would never protect a human, citing the tragedy that occurred a century ago (the one that made the trio cut ties with humans) but after you describe Kyurem, you're brought to the village elder... he/she explains that Kyurem fell to Earth a millennia ago, and has been known to descend upon Lacunosa Town during cold, dark nights to prey on the towns inhabitants!
The story would have you piece together the story of Kyurem, how the heros of Truth and Ideals became enemies and how the Original Dragon came to be, with the final story boss being either Kyurem-W, Kyurem-B or even the Original Dragon itself!
Now who wouldn't want that?!
Literally just watched the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Announcment Trailer 👀
Fingers crossed...
Good to know I wasn't the only one who named my Typhlosion after a weed joke, dude just looks perma stoned I'm surprised he doesn't start every battle "dazed"
Dude's literally surrounded by a purple haze
Missed opportunity to say “Arceus” differently each time. x’D
Pokémon Arkeus
Pokémon Arseus
Pokémon Ah-say-us
Pokémon Arse-us
Pokémon Arc-yus
Arceus? Pretty sure it’s pronounced Arceus. Is it pronounced Arceus or Arceus?
are- se-us
Pokémon : Arkoos
I didnt grow up with Pokemon, I played all the ones that came out on switch and I can say that Arceus was the first one that was really fun and make me want to complete the Pokedex instead of quiting after the Gym/boss battles. P.s I completed the pokedex and all side quests in Arceus :)
Yea Pokemon had the same gameplay for 25 years. You can see how they would've been fun in the 90's, but obviously the gameplay grew outdated 10 years ago so we needed this change.
BATTLING POKEMON RAISES THEIR FRIENDSHIP LEVEL
That bag expansion man was my hero, and then quickly my sworn enemy! 1 space at a time, and it jumps about 500 money each time!
25 Years, and we still don't know how these Pokémon feel about living in small balls.
If we're being actively prevented from getting that info, there's probably a reason!
@@benvoliothefirst yeah! Pokemon surely are really comfy inside the pkballs, and they are not telling the humans so we don't get jealous
@@benvoliothefirst it was openly discussed in _Sun_ & _Moon_
@ArtisanWraith stored Pokeys are sent to a resort island to hang out
Have you read any fanfiction on Pokémon!? It can be anything from a pocket dimension built using imagination and a time dilation to solitary confinement that constructs memory wipes to create blind loyalty.
As a person who played this game I was waiting for the reveal of the true god of space which is not Palkia but the dude that will take all your money just to find one more free spot in the bag
Give me a game with the open exploration and engagement with pokemon like this has but let me directly control my pokemon as they battle with actual combat instead of turn-based and you have all my money.
So you want this with a splash of Pokken
I definitely prefer turn based myself.
Ive enjoyed the game a lot but it would be more interesting if some of the pokemon were hostile to each other naturally. It that happened wed probably had to wait another year
Gen 6 horde battled had seviper and Zangose killing each other, so at least the concept exists.
“Lemme tell you about weed culture…” died there lmao 🤣
I get that its a kids game but if they want to step up their game i think increasing opponent teams is a pretty easy way to do it
Would love to see a trailer for HellBlade.
People kept comparing it to Breath of the Wild from the trailers, but it seems much more inspired by Monster Hunter, which is a better fit for the series to draw from than Zelda anyway..
"Next gen effort"
LMAO
Funniest HT line ever
I had forgotten about neopets until you mention it, loved playing it in the earlier 2000s
You missed the part of everyone simping for Arezu.
I think you misspelled Akari there.
I just like how the game shows you which pokemon are chill and which are aggressive
boy oh boy, this Pokemon Game sure looks fun!
Aww, there was a perfect Monster Hunter joke for the end title. Considering the instanced zones are more akin to MH than BotW.
That Jeff Bezos and Tom Nook comparison was gold! 🤣
Now that you've done an Honest Game Trailer for Dragon Age, can you please do one for Batman: Arkham Origins?
The part about inventory guy making nook look mother Teresa had me rolling. 🤣🤣🤣
The fake title at the end made me laugh. I’m glad that I wasn’t the only one thinking this was at least a little like Breath of the Wild. It looks like it was built on the same game or graphics engine.
I know right?! The moment I started playing is the moment I had a feeling that Legends Arceus was definitely inspired by Breath of the Wild.😆
@@SegaDisneyUniverse I mean that kinda obvious with how they presented the trailers though, saldy they didn't quite capture what made BOTW good in it's open world
There's like half a million games inspired by botw out these days lol. That's what you get when you create a masterpiece
Literally the worst thing the Pokémon company can do right now is carry this butchered version of the battle system into the main line games.
feels like the most dumbed down pokemon go cash grab ever. sequential turns is literally so bad and it makes sense why they didnt even include pvp
Pokemon has always been turn based? Literally nothing is different.
@@jenellsaphid simeltaneous > sequential
5:02 Fitting to name Hisuian Electrode that because 2 children DIED from the suffocation from real-life Voltorbs and Electrodes.
Do The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
0:53 And yet TPC straight up calls it "main series" just like with Let's Go.
Please do an Honest Trailer for Melty Blood Type Lumina.
me waching this after the announcement of pokemon scarlet and violet: wonder what he'll say about that
Please say, “May Arceus have mercy on your soul.”
Edit: Thanks for the trailer, by the way.
The sound of hitting a Pokemon in the back is why am here XD Just so fun.
I really need someone to make a compilation of all the new and innovative features in Legends Arceus compared to the pixelmon mod for Minecraft. It is seriously hilarious how many of the new and best systems have been in pixelmon for YEARS already.
I just KNEW the last joke would be about Baggin.
This is exactly the pokemon game I've been asking for and I really hope they eventually abandon the main formula in favor of this open world-ish style, they just need to toss in some pokemon stadium and online lobby to perfect the experience.
They just announced that gen 9 will be open world
I would actually love a new Pokemon Colosseum game. I know it's unrealistic to ask for every single Pokemon, but I still love the idea of using the actual Pokemon you use in the main games in battle mode. Plus the minigames were so fun!
Oh come on! ”And a cellphone you got from GOD” was RIGHT freaking there!
I am glad they keep making pokemon games ... it means more silly names coming from HGT :D
That music around the conclusion and earlier sounded suspiciously like a particular tune from the game Jamestown.
Please do an honest game trailer for Chess, it'll be great as a change of pace!
When it gets to the plot section it's just a summary of the Chess musical.

Horizon Forbidden West next, shut up and take my shards already!!
Okay the only thing I have to say which isn’t even an argument but chimecho and the neighborhood lady is the most wholesome story of 2022 and you can’t change my mind
2 steps forwards in gameplay, 1 step back in graphics , at least they are making some progress.
Legend Of Arceus: You spend all your money you get on more storage
Do trailers for the Saints Row series and Hyperdimension Neptunia!

Do an Honest Trailer on The King Of Fighters XV!
Here's hoping for a Legends: Celebi game next
It's been a minute since I've watched any Honest Trailers, and it's still as funny as ever!🤣👍
That nook reference is so true. That bag guy is rich as hell.
That bag guy will turns out to be the person who owns the huge mansion in BDSP
I am gonna make this happen one of these days:
Do SimCity!
SimCity! SimCity! SimCity!
You must be as the Minesweeper guy. You must be as solid and steady as a mountain while striking as fast and as frequently as a mantis wielding a katana (or something.)
@@SurprisinglyDeep I have been at it for a year or so, and I am not giving up.
Give me the chills with the line "Welcome to PlayPaintChill. You just gained honor +2 for following us ! ".
Make an Honest Game Trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles
@Gamer True Neutral Xenoblade is far from niche these days. It's become way more popular in recent years.
@Gamer True Neutral 2 cracked well over 2 million sales and Xeno 1 definite is well past 1 million. Even if that is a small fraction of the total switch sales, that doesn't mean they didn't sell a lot. Anything that gets at least 1 million in sales still means a lot of people played them. Both are literally put in the top 50 best selling switch games. Which when you consider how many games are available on the switch is a pretty big deal.
@Gamer True Neutral Dude, quit gatekeeping.
@Gamer True Neutral either way, it feels like you genuinely do not want Xenoblade fans to get an Honest Trailer for the game they love
@Gamer True Neutral you seriously think I would be asking for an Honest Trailer for the same game every week if I had never played it?
Literally the first Pokemon game where I will get PTSD from those damn Paris!
It's nice to see someone else experience the whole "your team gets one-shotted" thing. Apparently it's not a real thing that doesn't happen, according to DarthMobileGamer or fukkin whatever that edgelords "my wallet wins the game for me" name is 🤣🤣
Instantly liked the video after watching it for being the only video on UA-cam that talks about this game without spending a full minute for no reason talking about how you don't know how 'Arceus' is pronounced.
