"Phantasmagore" (lyrics)
In the blackest of light
You try to sell the sooth, you try to turn me on
And undercover at night
In times of ill refute they play a distant song
When there's a sudden surprise
And they're not trying to be ruthless, they want to belong
Oh, will they ever produce this
Malevolent stranger devoid of wrong
And still it rolls along
Forever facing the sun
Let the suicide of music take control
Oh, we would hope to remove
Of all the dying in twos and the drifting in nines
Time to open your eyes
And see the fading of truth by the growing of lies
So if you ever could choose
Between the valley and kingdom your faith shall rise
And still it turns the time
Bereathed in burning fires
A plasmic herald sinks alone and cries
"Let bleed the nectars of devotion"
Beneath the earth still lies phantasmic emerald paradises
Come cosmic thunder, sip the potion
Let the suicide of music take control
As the carrier infuses to your soul
Bereathed in burning fires
A plasmic herald sinks alone and cries
"Let bleed the nectars of devotion"
Beneath the earth still lies phantasmic emerald paradises
Come cosmic thunder, sip the potion
Let the suicide of music take control
As the carrier infuses to your soul
A Deadsy reunion would be most epic. New songs and a tour. One can dream.
Commencement, was like a religious experience for me. It sounded like something trying to communicate with me. I remember those nights vividly. Getting super stoned all night and listening. I hadn't been smoking for a long time.
So I really felt like I was on another planet. This might sound dumb but nothing went together like, drugs and commencement. Like I said, it sounded like something was trying to communicate... I'd get so fucked up, and get lost in it
Criminally underrated... Elijah Blue is one of the timeless songwriters of our time. That's what you get from being Cher's love child. His genius and devotion to great content, production & sound are unmatched in today's world.
LET THE SUICIDAL MUSIC TAKE CONTROL!
Still here 5-25-23
The more I hear this album, and this is my 3rd time in years, the more I appreciate it. It takes a different turn than Commencement, but it's a masterpiece in its own rite. But wow, Commencement hit me in ways I can't explain, you feel it, it's not part of this world.
I actually prefer this album as a whole, way less boring filler songs but both rock in my book, though Cruella and Mansion Mansion world are 👌. This remaster jacks the bass and kick drum up so really makes it bump on a good system
Almark I have had the same experience w Commencement. It is bar none the most unique and deep and powerful and emotional and thought provoking music I have heard in my life and I do not typically like the 80s influences and aesthetics tho that is just one small aspect of deadsy. I would have passed em up if I didn't give the music a real listen... It's impossible for me to communicate the effect Commencement had/has on me. It came into my life at a strange time. it's very esoteric and ahead of its time..its...a gift. A true gift for those "with ears to hear". A true masterpiece of modernity (which is most rare). Let's pray for a 30 year anniversary box set or something!!

@@jasonscholl2945 I don't think they know how amazing their music really is, or maybe they do.
only song i listen to on it really.
edit: in THIS life...because Commencement killed me. And this song is The Exorcist of Heavy Metal
Love this song!
Me too!💪
Fancy seeing you here, dude. Had no idea you were a Deadsy fan. I fucking LOVED these guys and then they just disappeared after this album.
i remember being about 7 and hearing "Key To Gramercy Park" and i fell in love with the synth in that song along side the guitar and since then I've had such a fascination for that deep metal sounding synth and its all thanks to Deadsy. I'm only 18 now and i know nobody else my age that listens to deadsy, but great fucking band.
That's cuz you're a legend mate. Keep it up. I'm 34. Love this band. Seen em in early 2000's with Korn and puddle of Mudd. Absolutely amazing!
28 and heard this cuz of my pops when I was a lil younger than you. Still great stuff
I'm 31 and saw them at the Family Values tour in 2006. It was amazing. Been rocking with them for 17 years. Oh fun fact!!! They have stated they are coming out with a new album in Fall of this year.
@@joshuahowland5061 my dad had me listening to ti, korn, deadsy, Metallica, Jimi Hendrix (personally favorite guitarist and my idol growing up) a couple other southern rappers, etc I was blessed as a child to grow up to that music 🤣
@@jerichogerdes6542 I had heard a snippet of them in the studios about a month ago. From what I could hear in it it sounded great.
I wish more music would come out from them; this album is helping me get through emotions. This song helps silence the world.
This makes me feel like a mad scientist!
Wow...nothing even compares to this.
one of Deadsys best tracks. Absolutely slaps
so just found out about this band. hello!
This song is like a ritual.
This remaster is fu&$ing amazing. Sounds incredible. Thank you
Banger
Pobably Deadsy's best track ever. Amazed and mega suprised to see this coming out again, after so many years.
A band I'd loved to hear more from and whom I'd love for them to come back (and with the original aesthetic that was totally SICK)!
Hope you Deadsy guys are at it! Cheers to your music from Argentina!
*LET BLEED THE NECTARS OF DEVOTION.*
They are supposed to come out with a new album this year
@@jerichogerdes6542 Wow, really? That would kick ass
@@homevalueglass3809 that's what I saw on their socials last year. They were talking about a new album for this year. Hopefully it happens.
@@jerichogerdes6542 Yeah!
Really? Hmmm. I believe this band would never have been picked up by any major label if it wasn't for the popularity of Elijah's mom and dad.
Fucking Masterpiece. Can't get over how amazing this song is.
in the coolest way, the suicide of music sorta guided me to Deadsy...
Fuck I miss good music like this...
The song puts me at ease and comfort
Whoever remastered this is a genius. The sound clarity is top notch, even on a phone speaker, even through UA-cam compression. When it's not 12am, I'm going to turn the volume up on my studio monitors (Presonus Eris E8xt) and subwoofer (Temblor T10) to really get a true listening experience.
You have absolutely ZERO idea what the fuck you're talking about. The original release sounds leaps and bounds better than this garbage. Not to mention I don't even believe it's a remaster, but rather an early promo/demo version of the album.
@@needsmoreclipping you should use OBS, they don't put a watermark on your videos, and it's free :)
Yes sir, can confirm, it kicks ass on a thx speaker system💪
@@homevalueglass3809 Yeah dude, whoever did the mastering on this shit is TOP FUCKING NOTCH 👌
@@homevalueglass3809 Well, I finally answered my question in regard to who mastered it. This is funny, Deadsy said in this same article that no one in the band liked how the original release was mastered :P
This guy is basically A Legend: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howie_Weinberg
A plasmic herald, sinks alone and cry's.... Speechless
really amazing. so heavy and clear. thank you!
Forever facing the sun ☀️
After watching the why files episode about the emerald tablet this song just hits way different. Will always have a special place in my head hole for deadsy
Anyone remember the red message board? Any thundercorps here? I hope Elijah finds himself and comes back again. He literally owes us a few tracks and we will reward him greatly as we have never waivered.
Phantasmagore still crushes!!!! I absolutely love commencement and listen to the entire album at least once a month.
After 15 years, still my favorite song
Great shit! Still in my rotation! Would love to see them live!
Chills emotions
Once this song comes on I can't seem to skip it for some reason it really lures you in.......
I will also love this band Maybe even after I die from this world who knows, I think we know 🥰
Love this song 🖤🖤🖤
Me too so delightfully dark
Badazz the Nectors of devotion
Is the remaster worth getting? The original master punches hard and sounds fantastic already
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I am in love with this song 😍♥️💙💜
Me too
Whippin' Post!

I want to hear this song live so bad!
I just discovered you all today 🥰
Still listening I hope!
@@travisjohnson622yes I am 😊
This song does something to me. I feel like a mad scientist...
Happy Eve Before All Hallows Eve October 30,2022 🎃🎃🎃 Perfect song for the eerie moodiness in all in the blackest of dark.
This song represents the model of perfection for a great mix. The kick, bass, snare and low synths just pop and cut through the mix beautifully. And it even bumps somehow on a smart phone 🤯. On a THX system with sub it really BUMPS and turn my man-tits into diamond glass cutters. Sounds amazing, fellas💪. I eagerly aware the new album.
I blast it in my Hyundai and it sounds freaking awesome. 😉☺️😅😆🥰
Great review by the way
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
🤘💞
It's like Korn meets Depeche Mode
Theu were produce by Jonathan Davies

😁bring more merch to rock Plzz!!
This song is like the shit so fucking hard that out of nowhere on me i literally felt like it went like Super Saiyan onto the universe!
This vibe reminds of this old house i made into a den of inequity..i almost died there💀💀🧟
🤟😎🤟❤️❤️
needs backgup hi pitch screaming to balance out blue boys voice
No ones talking about the fact that Dax Sheppard and Kristn Bell are married. I mean its just such an unlikely couple, yet somehow it works.lol
Watch their couple interviews.
Long Live Deadsy
🌈💫💙👽💕
this is soo poorly done. its an amatour band that signed to Gffen just because of mommy Cher.
Get a job
@@RLWuest what a dumb answer . you satisfied ? wow . proud of yourself ? stfu
Cry harder
I so love Deadsy saw them live in Houston and met Elijah he was the nicest person ever
