    These ak elitists are all full of crap. So much bs on this rifle. Mine has been great. It has never had a malfunction, which is more than I can say for my Smith and Wesson and Ruger AR's. The trigger is phenomenal. The barrel is good. The bcg and bolt probably are a little soft. I'm watching mine close but it's fine so far. I will get the Polish parts later because that will make it a great rifle. I believe the milled receiver is fine. Don't believe the AK snobs it's good for the price.

    I just ran loaner rifle "Charlie" through fighting rifle last month. First time spending quality time with an AK and it ran great. Couple of old mags had me work some un-planned malfunction drills, but once Jay and I sorted them out of the mix, everything was great! My chest rig must have been a recent replacement as it was in great shape. I was reminded, however, of my disdain for single point slings. Lol!
    Thanks for the loaner! Now I want an AK!

    I own one, C39V2. Ran flawlessly for many years probably put about 7k rounds through her. Just recently, my bolt and receiver started warping. I kept shooting it and just today the bolt carrier group gave out on me. It is stuck in Headspace mode. I had to use a mallot and free it. I am going to buy a Polish bolt carrier and bolt and see if that helps. I'm crossing my fingers

    On that spring, it sounds like a case of “work hardening”. As the spring gets compressed and un-compressed it twists the metal in the coil.
    Because of the sheer volume of cycles it goes through (you put a shit-ton of rounds through the rifle), it stiffened up enough to cause a problem.

      @hunterkiller232134 Рік тому

      Because it wasn't one unit. The RAS-47 was well known to have issues and many people reported it, including a loss of headspace. The C39v2 had issues reported as well, including cracks forming in places that were hazardous to the gun. Even the VSKA famously shit the bed when Yeager attempted to torture test 2 of them to prove they were good and one failed headspace before the video and the other loss headspace during the video and they were able to push the barrel pin out (the barrel pin should require a hydraulic press to move).

    I've shot over 5,000 rounds since I bought new in 2019 my c39v2 and no malfunctions at all. Killed a deer each year at 80+ yards with the the primary arms acss scope. Probably cleaned it like 4 times since I owned it and it still reliable. I do check the bolt and it seems to be in good shape. The c39v2 is not a gun that you can shoot over 500 rds per range session. Any gun needs to be cooled off after dumping 30 to 60 rds. It does get hot very easily and for an ak47, you must wear some gloves.

      I've owned and shot exceeding 100 firearms since the 90's. In 2016 I bought a Century RAS47 from Cabela's which became my 11th AK pattern rifle at the time. I wanted a beater AK to minimize use of my other AK Rifles. I returned it to Cabela's in less than 30 days and they took it back and gave me a full refund. It's pretty darn hard to return a firearm to a retailer but even Cabela's didn't have a real argument against taking it back once I showed it to them. It was literally experiencing breaking/cracking metal parts when I returned it. Quality was beyond horrible. It's the only firearm I've ever returned. I have OPAP's and WASR's that Century had their hands on converting but they built the RAS47 and mine was just as bad as what I imagine my experience would have been if I ever bought an I.O. (I've never owned an I.O).

    • @fredrickmiltonthaddeusdoug9747
      @fredrickmiltonthaddeusdoug9747 3 роки тому

      Supposedly they were using casting of the bolts instead of forging which is the ak standard in europoor countries. I've never seen issues personally on my rifle but I can't deny that others have seen failures. Everyone takes robskis videos as the standard but he literally tortures the rifles and it lasted 5k rounds. For the average person it is perfectly fine. If you want a military issue rifle get an arsenal. That's really what it boils down to.

    Is that the red dot. Holosun HE515GM? I’m tempted to get back into the AK game. Does the C39 have any issues with mags not fitting? My WASR 10 was a crap shoot. I had to hand select mags for it all the time.

    My RAS47 runs good and has maintained spec. Not near the round count, especially lately, but it does what I want. I agree they have good barrels and shoot better than any other AK I have owned or fired. I probably would not buy another one, but I’m not getting rid of the one I have.
