As a drummer I still have vivid memories of practicing along to John Cougar's lonesome jubilee via headphones...Cranked as loud as it could possibly go!!! This was before noise canceling headphones or any of the technological advances that we have now. This is when yes you basically destroy your ears.

Wow , Crazy to hear John once worked for the phone co too ! I was 19 and a long distance telephone operator , and he made a call from a pay phone that came into my switch room out of Huntington Beach Ca. , Person to Person collect from John Cougar . He was just gettin started, but I knew who he was bc my boyfriend ( and current husband ) worked at a record store . What a fun coincidence!! :)

It's really so much more than music, it's air to me. I'll try and catch you playing someday. As he should - these musicians should be humble - his buddy John Cougar Melloncamp isn't necessarily humble - at all - that's why I still refer to him as " Cougar"
Hey John- you want respect you gotta give it - especially when everyone else is doing everything possible in order to please your high fullutin ass

No offense to John Mellencamp but Kenny played with the biggest rocker of the 80s, Jon Bon Jovi, the greatest guitarist ver, Jeff Beck, the inventor of rock n roll, Little Richard and a man by the name of Elton John, in the recording of Young Guns II. Which means He is the drummer in Blaze of Glory, Miracle and Santa Fe among other gems from that album
