My only problem with The Doctor's Daughter is that Jenny never returned. She should've returned as a companion or something, or at least as a cameo in other episodes.
Agreed, second most underused character in new Who, (the first being the 8th Doctor, I could rant about that for ages). Having her return would've been amazing, and I know she married the 10th Doctor but she still could've traveled with the 11th Doctor or met with him from time to time. Maybe been the companion after Amy and Rory instead of Clara. I like Clara and wouldn't remove her if I could remake the show, I just don't like her as the Doctor's companion. There's great mystery to her when we first meet her and it demystifies her. I'm rambling. Love Jenny, love that episode, would love to have seen her again in some shape or form. She could've been River's sidekick.
The concept of the Absorbaloff was the winning entry in a competion for kids to come up with a Doctor Who monster...so they used a (10 or so years old I think) kid's idea to twist into some strained blowjob joke...that makes it even more creepy.
Well actually the father is An Idiot's Lantern is very realistic, it shows the patriotic domestic father of the 1950s England. A time very sexist and racist and if you look a British shows from and set in the 1950s and 60s like Coronation Street or Steptoe and Son you can see they are very similar to the way he acts. You're seeing it from the American perspective that he is a cartoon Homer Simpson and that 1950s America was very different and covered up with Rock & Roll and McDonalds when really this is VERY relatable to many. And also even today in the 21st Century we still have domestic fathers and husbands very much like him.
Thank you for this. I completely agree with you here as I experienced this myself. My farther is just like him and when I saw the guy get his butt kicked by the doctor and at the end by his wife it felt so great because it is what I've always dreamed of but never felt empowered to do as I'm just his daughter. So yeah I actually really love that episode just because of that family.
I love Father's Day. I thought the raw emotion of Billie Piper's performance and the quality of the dialogue sold the tragedy of Rose's father's death without any set up being required from previous episodes. The classic series companions were never bogged down by expositional information for use in future episodes. I think it's a poignant story.
Lost my dad when I was 16 and he was the person who introduced me to Doctor Who so on rewatch this episode really really gets me. Also, fun fact, my uncle is really good friends with the writer of this one so the vicar that gets eaten 'Reverand Simon Holmes' is named after my uncle 😂
Father's Day is the reason for Doctor Who's biggest plot holes: why have the Reapers never shown up since or before after many instances of the Doctor tampering with time and fixed points
While I can't argue that it's not a plot hole, but I'm happy to go with the meta answer: they realized how dumb the idea was and just never brought it up again. Kind of how the "super blood" and transporting across the galaxy from Star Trek Into Darkness got ignored in Beyond. You can either blow a ton of time retconning something... or you can just ignore it and hope the audience goes with it on a "we won't bring it up if you don't" basis.
Been a while since I watched Father's day but if it was The Doctor that explained the reapers, then remember "The Doctor lies". It was a great way to change anything at anytime they want.
Council of Geeks: Very true. My point was simply why include the detail of their existence when clearly they were set out to be a one-time villain in the first place
+Nebiru +Nebiru definitely. Not only the worst episode by Capaldi, but the worst Mark Gatiss episode (remember this is the guy that writes Sherlock) and possibly the worst episode of New Who. It just boring. And sand eye monsters? Really?
cinnamontographer I didn't like a lot of Peter and Jenna's first series together, the episodes just seemed boring and there wasn't very good plot lines. However, I absolutely loved his series with Bill.
The implications of Moaning Myrtle being stuck as a cement tile for eternity with her lover trapped as a caretaker and unable to move on is so HORRIFIC. It honestly haunts me to this day. Kinda pops into my head at random times.
Love and Monsters was written around the Absorbaloff that was invented by a nine year-old, which kinda saves it in my eyes. The Idiots Lantern, I don't really see the issue with. The father is actually a pretty good portrayal of a British "King of my castle"-man of that era. The villain/monster is cheesy, and I feel like it needed a bit more of a backstory to feel legit but over all, it's not The Worst in my book. Fear Her has that spot for me.
Third worst thing. The way the writters since around the middle of the 10th Doctors run (on and off , and def more so when CLARA turned up) kept treating the Doctor character like an inept idiot, who ALWAYS seems to needs too much assistance to clear up something, or needs to get rescued. WHAT!!
Daleks of Manhatten I thought wasn't amazing but some of the scenes and messages of the episodes were fantastic and should save it from a place on the list when episodes like 42 didn't make it on
42 is one of my favorites and I've been watching since the 4th doctor. But everyone likes different things. Also, I'd love to see a new list after the Peter Capaldi years. There have been some real stinkers. Love and respect to Capaldi, he did the best with what he was given.
my worst list is 10. love and monsters 9. love and monsters 8. love and monsters 7. love and monsters 6. love and monsters 5. love and monsters 4. love and monsters 3. love and monsters 2. love and monsters and number 1 is love and monster that's my top 10 list and have a good one.
Preaching to the anti-preaching squad somewhat but Love and Monsters works really well until the Abzorbaloff shows up in the last 10 minutes. The first half hour is a really interesting episode, it's just let down by a dumb monster design and that awful pavement sex joke.
'Dinosaurs on a Spaceship' is pretty awful. Plus it's written by the new show runner which fills me with dread. I also can't stand most of the Christmas (un)specials!
Jason Smart it's the best episode in NuWho imo, has it's fair share of laughs, introduces Brian perfectly, also has action, CGI is on point and somehow manages to show the Doctor's dark side quite a bit
I strongly disagree with your list. Father's Day, The Lazarus Experiment and Daleks in and Evolution of the Daleks where awesome. Where was Curse of the Black Spot, In the Forest of the Night, The Snowmen, Death in Heaven and Hell Bent.
I felt like the Daleks in Manhatten two parter was a really weak dalek story in general. Compared to how we saw the daleks in series 1 & 2, it was a massive let down in my book. Before series three, the daleks were seen as quite formidable but it was from S3 onwards that daleks just became cannon fodder
Fathers day was very emotionally touching, I feel. The Doctor's Daughter had a few very strong moments for me that held the whole thing together. I found it odd that she never showed back up again though, that almost kind of ruins the episode in retrospect, as though it were setting up something that never happened. Never saw Journey to the Centre of the Tardis, burned out on the Moffat era by then. Nightmare in Silver was tolerable, but not particularly good. Never saw Sleep No More, just lost interest in the show by that point in the Moffat Era. Lazarus experiment wasn't anything, it was just there. I felt that there were a couple of moments in Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks that were really good, like Solomon giving a speech and trying to convince the Daleks to be peaceful only to be brutally killed all the same, or Sek trying to change the Daleks and make them better, only to be killed. The episode really did a good job of showing them for the ruthless, irrationally hateful killing machines they so often are. Overall though, a bit wonky. I enjoyed Fear Her, even though objectively it was bad. I laughed out loud at the part in Love and Monsters where it's implied that the human man and the concrete slab are having sex together. The totally faceless people were very visually unsettling, but otherwise the Idiot's Lantern was bad.
I've realized that a lot of Doctor Who stories that I liked as a kid do not work for me as an adult. Like "Fear Her" was something that scared me as a kid and the last part with the Doctor and the torch was amazing and uplifting and stuff and the reason that I didn't use to go back to that episode was because it genuinely scared me. So this is an episode that I really felt the shift in cause it took me a few years to watch it again and not only was it no longer scary and uplifting it had now become weird and corny. But I kind of agree with your list except for two of them: "Fathers Day" and "The Doctor's Daughter". And each of them are redeemed for me for very clear reasons: 1-Fathers day shows how forgiving and caring the Doctor can be, with the way that even though Rose screwed up he still tried to help and protect her. (it was not shoved in our face as they have tried to do lately with the whole "I have a duty of care" thing) 2-Donna!(that's all I'm gonna say)
Yeah I figured both of those would be the ones most people would make cases for, because I know they have their fans. And I even see some of the good points in both, but the things that I disliked more than cancelled out those good moments or aspects. They did for me, at any rate.
My least favorite is "Love and Monsters"... I skip it when I show Dr. Who to friends, I skip it when I re-watch episodes. You're right. It is insultingly bad.
I think that Fear Her could have worked with Steven Moffat - his ability to turn childish concepts into something scary is amazing. (For my money, 42, In the Forest of the Night and The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe should have been on here.)
Yup. Didn't like it first time I saw it and it's failed to grow on me since then. I may be the only one beating this particular drum, but I ain't stopping anytime soon.
Yeah, "Love and Monsters" is bad. I get they wanted to do an episode without the Doctor and Rose (to give the actors a rest) but the part that bugs me is that there are tons of already existing characters and concepts they could've done without creating a group of new characters (who are so bad). I mean, at that point, they had Roses mother and Micky and, of course, UNIT and any number of others. It could've been so much better.
Sleep No More is the episode that pisses me off the most because it had so much potential!! The beginning was great: In a world where humans are trying to eliminate sleep (which takes up 1/3 of your lifetime) to work more, the Doctor warns them that taking out such a fundamental human need is gonna have terrible consequences. So I thought "oohhh this concept is so interesting! It's going to be an amazing episode!". I was expecting a super messed up Black Mirror-ish dystopia or something. But then the Doctor said the "terrible consequences" were monsters made from the goo in your eyes and I legit thought it was a joke so I laughed. But nope. That was the actual plot of the episode 😐
I've never understood the hate the fandom has for Fear Her, Love and Monsters is actually one of my favourite eps but I understand more where people are coming from with the dislike. Fear Her actually used to be my favourite episode, although with time I have grown to prefer others, most of which are more typically loved eps, but I still don't really get the hate. Also a fan of The Idiot's Lantern. Imo the worst ever ep has to be The Rings of Akhaten. Cannot stand it, although I do like the doc's speech at the end.
For me personally the big failing of Fear Her is the lack of any single element that I can say "well, at least it has that." Now, that's not for me to say nobody else can like it and in fact I say more power to you if you do. But as with your example of Akhaten, many otherwise bad episodes have that one redeeming feature. And while there are episodes with aspects that might be worse than any one thing in Fear Her, that episode is lacking in anything to help pull it up. That's the case for me at least.
Fair enough, obviously it has a lot to do with personal taste - I'm usually more inclined to enjoy episodes with ten and Rose as he is my favourite doctor and she is one of my fave companions (Donna is obviously the best), whereas I really hated Clara so I suppose the tolerance I have for less than excellent episodes with her is lower than with any of the other companions. By the way, just discovered this channel yesterday and have already watched a ton of videos, love your lists :)
Council of Geeks Ngl completely forgot this episode existed along with Idiots lateren and oh every Chibnall episode because the episode 42 was just utter shit in every way and it was boring. And the worse thing is he just recycles the same garbage in every episode he's done as far as I'm aware. What do you guys think?
When I am rewatching Doctor Who Series 7, I skip Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, A Town Called Mercy, The Rings of Akhaten, Hide and Nightmare in Silver, they were all absolutely terrible episodes! Series 7 was a massive disappointment excluding The Name of The Doctor.
I haven't gone out of my way to rank the series overall, so I don't know if I would put Series 7 at the bottom, but I do get the overall feeling that I didn't hate that series as a whole as badly as many fans did. Nightmare in Silver was the only one that actively annoyed me. A Town Called Mercy and Rings Akhaten were just kind of forgettable (which I tend to shrug off.) I actually rather enjoyed Hide and Dinosaurs on a Spaceship. They're no classics, but I had fun.
The Name Of The Doctor is so confusing. On An Unearthly Child.Susan says that she invented the name TARDIS but Steven Moffat ruin that thing. The Timelords who watched the doctor stealing the tardis.mention "TARDIS"
I actually really liked Hide, it's one of the episodes that got me into Doctor Who in the first place. I love the creepy 70s vibe. But I don't think I've ever rewatched Nightmare in Silver or A Town Called Mercy. At least Rings of Akhaten has the long song, but I listen to that on Spotify rather than sitting thru the whole episode to hear it again lmao
- Love and Monsters - Kill the Moon - In the Forest of the Night - The Girl Who Died / The Woman Who Lived - Arachnids in the UK - The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos - Orphan 55 - Praxeus - Ascension of the Cyberman / The Timeless Child - Legend of the Sea Devils
10. The Space Pirates 9. Four to Doomsday 8. Victory of the Daleks 7. The Lie of the Land 6. Destiny of the Daleks 5. Kill the Moon 4. Let's Kill Hitler 3. The Twin Dilemma 2. Warriors of the Deep 1. Hell Bent
10.) 42 - Just boring. 9.) The Rings of Akhaten - what is this mess of cringe-worthy nonsense? I recognise that this wasn't the worst episode but it's the one I have the most personal hate for. 8.) The Lazarus Experiment - Just as you said. 7.) Victory of the Daleks - Just thinking about the way they stopped the bomb going off by making the professor bloke remember how he felt about a girl when he was young... makes me angry and want to throw up. 6.) A Christmas Carol - sorry to everyone who likes this but it was unoriginal and included a flying shark... 5.) Curse of the Black Spot - the most 'meh' episode ever. 4.) Fear Her - I really liked this when I was young but now I can't think of a single reason why I did... 3.) Planet of the Dead - Seriously, I have no idea what this was about. 2.) In the Forest of the Night - WTF. 1.) The Doctor, the Widow & the Wardrobe - again with the trees? Probably the only episode of Doctor Who I have disliked the whole way through. Nearly ruined my Christmas. 😂
I agree with all of the episodes except 42 which I think is fantastic. I think this episode is actually one of the least boring with its use of real time and it takes The Doctor and Martha to whole new dangers they haven't experienced before with Martha plummeting towards the sun and The Doctor getting possessed. I can see why people don't like it but I just really enjoy it, I think it's one of the most underrated episodes in the revived series.
I agree, especially on the Rings of Akhaten. Apart from the Doctor's speech at the end of the episode, the rest of the episolde was cringey. It actually did have potential to be a decent episode, but the execution was horrible.
The worst thing new who does is that they always seem to have at least 1 episode in a season where they 'get a distress signal fron a ship, go there and then they meet the crew and oh no, the TARDIS is stuck or other generic problem and oh no big threat which is gonna kill everyone'.
I seem to be the one person who doesn't actively hate Forest of the Night. Not that I like it, I just kind of shrug and can't get worked up about it. And Hell Bent did what it set out to do well enough. Granted, I really don't like what it was doing, but I can't say it failed in its goals.
+Council Of Geeks, Now hell bent was OK, just the bad part was clara, she had such a good ending and they just brought her back and gave her a worse ending than she already had, I just expected better of a finale, especially one without clara in it.
I agree with your picks, except for The Daughter of the Doctor because that episode had great emotion, had Donna as a companion, and made me cry a lot ^^
Council of Geeks for me. It's the worst. It completely destroys any build up the amazing heaven sent had to getting back to galifrey. The doctor shoots the general - whose on his side. There's a regeneration purely there to be political correct. Clara is back... even though heaven sent was about mourning her death. Also that means the doctor could go back and save any companion that died... Rasilon is greatly underused. Clara and ashilda (I refuse to call her me) get a fucking tardis... like, do I need to go on XD Edit: also the fact that the diner tardis makes no sense because the door the doctor walks in would lead straight to the console room. Obviously btw this is my opinion but you must get what I mean somewhat
Lost any interest in your list once you started with Father's Day. One of the most moving pieces of television I've seen, and led me to rebuild relations with my parents. Superbly written and acted.
I legitimately forgot Jenny died at the end of The Doctors Daughter... That is how forgetful this was, the Journey To The Center of the TARDIS was perfectly fine I think though
And I think Sleep No More wasn't bad, I just think the found footage was actually what ruined it in a way, I also almost fell asleep NO JOKE during lazarus experiment
sorry to respond after a month lol but i wanted to say that Jenny also regenerated at the end so maybe that's y u didn't remember it (also the only thing emotional about the death scene is tennant's acting)
Jenny actually didn't regenerate, she just came back to life, but with the same face, no change. Some people are saying, it's because of the seed/terraforming thingy, but I would say, it was a time lord's ressurection/part regeneration kind of. But the main point is probably, that Council of Geeks didn't mean her death by shooting her at the end, but her crash on the Moon after the episode (her death off screen), which seems to be somehow confirmed, or what. I don't really know.
Austin Gonzales I thought the Slitheen themselves were horrible but if you replaced them but kept the concept of aliens infiltrating the government subtly then it would be a great two-parter. I also love the atmosphere of the episode like after the spaceship crashes and it shows the reaction of the world I absolutely love that bit.
It's especially bad when you consider the results of The 10th Doctor lashing out at Harriet Jones (or whatever her name was). Getting her fired caused a LOT of later issues, including his death.
Me personally would struggle with a list like this one, as there are no episodes of the new series that I hate. There are however a few episodes that have some parts or character that I don't like, but those dislikes aren't big enough for me to dislike or hate the episode as a whole. Those episodes are in order "Fear Her", "The Idiot's Lantern" and "love & Monsters" and off the tops of my head those are the only episodes I have problems with, but if I had a Doctor Who marathon I would still watch them. I was a little bit shocked (you could say) that "Hell Bent" wasn't on this list, not that it matters. I hope I haven't come across as rude as that hasn't been my intent and I have enjoyed the video so with that being said thank you. I found it funny that the episodes that parts I dislike are all from David Tennant's run as The doctor as he is my favourite Doctor. Since this comment is a bit long I will wrap things up by saying once again thank you for the video. =)
I really need to comment on your new videos as all my friends tell me I talk about Doctor who too much (one of my friends is also a Doctor Who fan and he says that too), and you have replied to most of my comments in the past. So I now have comments sections in your videos that I can use to chat to you and other fans of Doctor who is just fantastic to be blunt. So from the bottom to the top of my heart (I wish I could say hearts) thank you and I really mean that so very much thank you. =)
Happy to help. And yea, a few people have brought up Hell Bent. Short version (as I have two videos covering the darn thing, one for first reaction and one after some reflection) is that I can't say it didn't succeed in what it was trying to do, but I don't like what it was trying to do. So while I may not like it, it was well put together for what it was and it doesn't drive me nuts the way the episodes on this list do.
in no particular order. Let's Kill Hitler, The Almost People two parter, Fear Her, Journey to The Centre of The Tardis, Curse of The Black Spot, The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe, Hell Bent, Kill The Moon, Asylum of The Daleks and Nightmare in Silver
love and monsters worst episode ever like man i can't even watch it anymore it;s just horrible and how the hell they got away with that sly oral sex joke at the end of the episode the thought of that is a nightmare
A kid came up with the concept of the Absorbaloff - they had a competition for kids and that was the winner. Yes, they exploited a child's creativity to twist it into a blowjob joke. Dis.Gus.Ting.
10: The Power of Three 9: The Magician's Apprentice/The Witch's Familiar 8: In the Forest of the Night 7: Asylum of the Daleks 6: New Earth 5: Let's Kill Hitler 4: The Wedding River Song 3: The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe 2: Sleep No More Dishonorable Mentions: The Idiot's Lantern, The Girl Who Died/The Woman Who Lived, Nightmare in Silver, Curse of the Black Spot, Fear Her, The Lodger, and Closing Time. 1: Hell Bent
I love Fear Her and The daleks take manhattan! In my point of view, on Fear Her the only think that didn't make sense was Chloe's "dad" and The Daleks Take Manhattan wasn't that bad at all! I think many people think this last one is weird but I like the way they included the pig slaves and human daleks as they were experimenting with genes for the daleks survival. I really hated the Idiots lantern and Journey to the center of the tardis as well but anyways, I respect your perspective.
I feel like people forget that when Who came back in 2005 it was essentially a British kids TV show. It was only as that original audience matured that so did the show
I LOVE doctor who. The only episodes I don't really like are the boring ones like fear her and sleep no more. I found love and monster really interesting and fathers day was one of my favriot 9 stories.
It is interesting just how much our opinions differ. I thought that Father's Day was fairly good, I absolutely loved Journey to the Center of TARDIS and Nightmare in Silver. Lazarus Project was not that great, but it just endeared itself to me, by feeling a lot like Doctor Who meets Resident Evil games. Though we do agree on some, like the Daleks in Manhattan two parter was a mess and executed really badly, Fear Me, which was just not interesting, fun or in any way engaging and Love and Monsters can go fuck itself. Still really liked your vid, fella. Anyways, here is my obligatory top 10 of least liked episodes (in no particullar order, maybe exept for number one): 11. The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe (nonsensical, lazily written load of christmas wank) 10. The Long Game (was incredibly dull in what was an overall incredible season. Stands out like a sore thumb) 9. The Idiot's Lantern (though, I like the interactions bewteen 10 and Rose, I can barely care for anything else in that episode) 8. Impossible Austronaut/Day of the Moon (Steven Moffat just wanks all over Doctor Who in some of his most unneccerily self indulgent story) 7. Let's Kill Hitler (Ruined River Song beyond repair) 6. The Vicroty of Daleks (was a bit dull and also ruined Daleks for the rest of Matt Smith's run) 5. Sonatarian Stratagem 2 parter (Almost makes me fall asleep. Not one, but two incredibly dull episodes 4. Daleks in Manhattan 2 parter (mentioned above) 3. Unicorn and the Wasp (I can barely put my finger on it, but I just highly dislike this episode) 2. Fear Her (already mentioned it above) 1. Love and Monsters (just fuck it) These are actually probably the only episodes of Modern Doctor Who, that I activly dislike and have a negative opinion on. Also hope you read comments.
I hated Moffat's style of delivery in this 2 part series. The villains did not click with me. The atmosphere was all wrong. It was confusing wank for the sake of being confusing. Nothing good ever came out of a single storyline started in this two parter. To me it shows how horrible Doctor Who can be without any form of self awarnes and holding back. But hey, a lot of people like this 2 parter. I don't. Utter self indulgense in my eyes.
Джамиль Ахундов fair enough mate. I think the new writer will bring something good to the table. I liked the two parter personally but I think they need to cut all of the confusing story arcs and go back to basics. Like bad wolf, simple hidden message that you don't even notice until they mention it, torchwood, vote for Saxon, rose, and even he will knock four times. A hidden message you don't find out until the end of the series, I liked the ending to the cracks in time in the Christmas special I suppose but I think the subtle hints Russel T Davies gave us in 1-4 were much better
I have a mixed relationship with Moffat's writing. He can be needlesly confusing and self indulgent, but dear Lord, when he hits the mark, he makes some of the bets DH episodes of all time. So it is a love hate kinda thing. I still like him as a whole. Might be a cliche to say, but I prefer Russel's more emotional and over the top approach, but his formula has ran it's course and it was the right decision to hand over the series to Moffat and give his ideas the absolute freedom for better or worse. Just as I think that it is just about time Moffat gave the series up (which he will), because his style of writing has also ran it's course and he has done most of the thing he set out to do and anything more would be overstaying the welcome (if he did not do that already for many other people).
I like the Idiot's Lantern. I don't hate Fear Her, but it is kind of boring, tbh. I'm surprised not more of 12's Episodes were here. I can't say I was a fan of a lot of them, at least the ones with Clara - no issues with Clara herself (unlike some others), but they weren't as interesting as I'd have liked.
10. Meh....Probably better than the average series 1 episode. 9. Very good episode.... if in series 2 and 3, it would have shined and probably be really good. 8. Worst of series 7 but has it's good moments. Idea was good but in practice it fell flat in some places. 7. Pretty bad for series 7 (again). can be enjoyable but can be a WHY? in some places. 6. Yes. Worst of series 9...The first person formula used was just bad. 5. 2nd Worst episodes of New Who. 4. Just why? Why did they play it out so badly? Ridiculous plot in some places. Characters were kinda insufferable. 3. 3rd Worst Episode of New Who. 2. Worst Episode of New Who...Can't even watch 5 min of it. 1. Just bad.. not as bad as the top 3 but bad nonetheless.
I am a huge Doctor Who fan and I can tell you now, your list sucks! Every episode you named are actually very good episodes and designed and written very well. Most of these episodes also linked with the story for those seasons and were used to relate back to the main story. No episode you named was bad.👍
Duckox I'm not saying it's the best episode ever, I'm just saying I think that these episodes are highly judged but aren't that bad, that's my opinion👍
I like Father's Day, The Idiot's Lantern, Fear Her, Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks, The Lazarus Experiment, The Doctor's Daughter and Nightmare in Silver.
10. Timelash. Colin is my second favorite Doctor and Season 22 is my favorite season. But honestly Timelash is the only really shit story in this season. 9. Hide. Planet of the Spiders is amazing. Just too bad this story practically ruins it. 8. Dragonfire. Best story of this season (Season 24) and it's shit. Introduces Ace though :D 7. Delta and the Bannerman. Just why......This story didn't need to happen 6. Paradise Towers. Major Plotholes galore 5. Time and The Rani. A major insult to both C. Baker and Mccoy. 4. Fear Her. How can you out bad act the twins from "The Twin Dilema" 3. Kill The Moon. Nu-Who you can't do social commentary subtly unless you get Robert Shearman. So just stop trying to. 2. The Doctors Daughter. The Doctor is the man who would and has! MANY TIMES. 1. The End of Time. Three Plots. Bad Master. And "I Don't wanna Go"? REALLY TEN?
And also. The Doctor can and has killed people. He's a pacifist but he gets when he needs to use force. Even the 12th Doctor knows when violence is needed
Updated list of the worst doctor who episodes. 1: The woman who fell to earth 2: The Ghost Monument 3: Rosa 4: Arachnids in the UK 5: The Tauranga Conundrum 6: Demons of the Punjab 7: Kerblam! 8: The Witchfinders 9: It takes you away 10: The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos Dishonourable mention that didn't quite make the list: Resolution
10. Sleep no more. 9. School reunion. 8. 42. 7. The God complex. 6. The Sontaran stratagem and The poison sky. 5. A good man goes to war. 4. Love and monsters. 3. The magician's apprentice and The witch's familiar. 2. Dinosaurs on a spaceship. 1. The wedding of River Song.
Daleks in Manhattan wasn’t that bad, but while watching it it felt like an eternity. The episode felt like a 2 hour episode and too many things were going on.
The Lazarus Experiment seems like that episode of Scooby Doo that you skipped as a child because even your 5 year old brain found that it was stupid. Obviously with it being less creepy and it ends up being Old Man Withers in a mask.
I thought Father's day had a good build up. You realise she doesn't have a father by her life with her mother and then you see her only agree to travel with the doctor because it travels in time. That was better foreshadowing than what River's reveal had, then Rory and Amys break up had. Actually character wise, there is not build up for anything in the Moffat era.
You are definitely right. Fear her is my worst. But I can't exactly argue with your choices either. (I personally liked Love and Monsters, but I do argue with anyone who does not)
My Personal List is: 10 = Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks. 9 = Nightmare in Silver. 8 = Asylum of the Daleks. 7 = Fear Her. 6 = In the forest of the Night.. 5 = The Next Doctor. 4 = Kill the Moon. 3 = The Zygon Invasion/The Zygon Inversion. 2 = Hell Bent. 1 = Love and Monsters.
The biggest problem with love and monsters is that the actors are too good for it. The performances from the whole cast are great, but they have no right to be. A better plot and a monster not literally designed by a child could have made it to be a fine episode. But it's not.
The thing I really liked about IDIOT'S LANTERN was after seeing the Doctor build all these cobbled up devices over the years, to see the Doctor build one, and it turned out to be a video recorder, I thought it was rather clever.
1. The Idiot's Lantern (0/10) 2. The Curse of the black spot (1/10) 3. Love and Monsters (1.5/10) 4. In the Forest of the Night (2/10) 5. The Girl Who Died (Not the woman who lived just this first part. 2/10) 6. Arachnids in the UK (2/10) 7. The Tsuranga Conundrum (2.5/10) 8. Let's kill hitler (2.5/10) 9. Sleep No More (3/10) 10. Fear Her (3/10)
1. Let's Kill Hitler 2. The Girl Who Died 3. Love and Monsters 4. Kill the Moon 5. Sleep No More 6. The Girl Who Waited 7. The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe 8. In the Forest of the Night 9. A Christmas Carol 10. Fear Her
my top 10: 10.The Lazarus Experiment 9.The Idiot's Lantern 8.The Zygon Inversion/The Zygon Invasion 7.The Girl who died 6.The Woman who lived 5.Hell Bent 4.Sleep No More 3.Love & Monsters 2.The Pyramid at the end of the world 1.Extremis
My only problem with The Doctor's Daughter is that Jenny never returned. She should've returned as a companion or something, or at least as a cameo in other episodes.
BSK *exactly*
Only problem is she married the Doctor
I believe she died by crashing on the moon right away, just that Moffat convinced RTD not to record that scene.
BSK ikr. Every time I get cliffhanged with a "no way. Is that really you?" It's never Jenny like I ALWAYS THINK, but it's like Missy or some bullshit
1. Love and Monsters - 44mins of setup for an oral sex joke.
Genius
For a horrible and disgusting oral sex joke.
When you put it like that, it'd make it my favourite episode
The concept of the Absorbaloff was the winning entry in a competion for kids to come up with a Doctor Who monster...so they used a (10 or so years old I think) kid's idea to twist into some strained blowjob joke...that makes it even more creepy.
Galvion Authirion DuGont you made this up
Well actually the father is An Idiot's Lantern is very realistic, it shows the patriotic domestic father of the 1950s England.
Yes it was exactly what I was thinking.
Oli Look who I found. :)
Given mainstean US culture in the 50s (we're talking pre-MadMen era!), his attidudes may not have been so uncommon...
Yeah.. but the woman in the TV made me want to punch myself in the balls.
I loved the daleks in manhattan 2 parter. Especially the deaths of Solomon and Dalek Sec, those really get to me.
The Masters Mad Face yeah, me to
I find the episodes bad on the whole, but those two moments were good
The Masters Mad Face Hi the masters mad face
The Masters Mad Face Me too. I think that 2-parter is very underappreciated. Also, love your name and profile picture XD
Philipp Tapsell Thanks. I love it too.
For all of Daleks in Manhattan's flaws, I do love hearing the Daleks saying "Pig slaves."
I can't argue with that.
LMFAO
Y E S
I love Father's Day. I thought the raw emotion of Billie Piper's performance and the quality of the dialogue sold the tragedy of Rose's father's death without any set up being required from previous episodes. The classic series companions were never bogged down by expositional information for use in future episodes. I think it's a poignant story.
3rd best 9th doctor story after Dalek and The Empty Child 2 parter
Lost my dad when I was 16 and he was the person who introduced me to Doctor Who so on rewatch this episode really really gets me.
Also, fun fact, my uncle is really good friends with the writer of this one so the vicar that gets eaten 'Reverand Simon Holmes' is named after my uncle 😂
ROSE, GET IN THE CHURCH!!!!!
@@stephaniemantle5029 I am really sorry for your loss. Certainly an even more poignant episode with this in mind
Fear her, more like forget her
I wish I could.
legoisnotonfire it really wasnt
legoisnotonfire it really wasnt
I love that episode!
Christian Harrison It has a kind of interesting concept but it ends up just being boring and the acting from the little girl is horrible
I completely agree with Sleep No More. It's actually the first episode I turned the screen off on. But in my opinion it's one of the worst.
Yeah, same with me. I turned it off within the first few minutes. The acting is terrible and it's just... Worst episode of Capaldi.
+Nebiru +Nebiru definitely. Not only the worst episode by Capaldi, but the worst Mark Gatiss episode (remember this is the guy that writes Sherlock) and possibly the worst episode of New Who. It just boring. And sand eye monsters? Really?
With Sleep No More I actually fell asleep. :p
Alexandre Mattos the irony :D
cinnamontographer I didn't like a lot of Peter and Jenna's first series together, the episodes just seemed boring and there wasn't very good plot lines.
Elemyey Yeah...the most mentally disturbed nine year old in the history of man.
lex mota it was a 9 year old’s drawing which professionals tried to make it into an episode. It was going to be bad.
icecream is nice dude, it was a normal drawing which was then made hyper realistic.
Third worst thing. The way the writters since around the middle of the 10th Doctors run (on and off , and def more so when CLARA turned up) kept treating the Doctor character like an inept idiot, who ALWAYS seems to needs too much assistance to clear up something, or needs to get rescued. WHAT!!
Daleks of Manhatten I thought wasn't amazing but some of the scenes and messages of the episodes were fantastic and should save it from a place on the list when episodes like 42 didn't make it on
42 didn't make me angry though, it was just kind of forgettable.
42 is one of my favorites and I've been watching since the 4th doctor. But everyone likes different things. Also, I'd love to see a new list after the Peter Capaldi years. There have been some real stinkers. Love and respect to Capaldi, he did the best with what he was given.
my worst list is 10. love and monsters 9. love and monsters 8. love and monsters 7. love and monsters 6. love and monsters 5. love and monsters 4. love and monsters 3. love and monsters 2. love and monsters and number 1 is love and monster that's my top 10 list and have a good one.
deadkid Clarke love and monsters is absolutely sh*t like it is horrendous. Completely ridiculous I was cringing the whole time I HATED it
How dare you the abzorbaloff was a god damn masterpiece!
Preaching to the anti-preaching squad somewhat but Love and Monsters works really well until the Abzorbaloff shows up in the last 10 minutes. The first half hour is a really interesting episode, it's just let down by a dumb monster design and that awful pavement sex joke.
What about love and monsters?
Wow strongly agree with that list
You ever notice how many doctor who characters are named Jenny?
And Smith
JENNI
Father's Day is brilliant! The fact that you didn't even mention Hell Bent at all is really surprising as well
It was in contention, but at this point I'm just not as mad at Hell Bent as I used to be. Plus I already did two videos on it.
'Dinosaurs on a Spaceship' is pretty awful. Plus it's written by the new show runner which fills me with dread. I also can't stand most of the Christmas (un)specials!
JustSomeRandomGuy Online good joke.
Voyage of The Damned was pretty cool.
lolwotm8 And Christmas Invasion
Jason Smart it's the best episode in NuWho imo, has it's fair share of laughs, introduces Brian perfectly, also has action, CGI is on point and somehow manages to show the Doctor's dark side quite a bit
I thought it was pretty fun
I strongly disagree with your list. Father's Day, The Lazarus Experiment and Daleks in and Evolution of the Daleks where awesome. Where was Curse of the Black Spot, In the Forest of the Night, The Snowmen, Death in Heaven and Hell Bent.
He said in a previous video that he won't rank Capaldi's episodes until AFTER his run as the doctor is over
He put sleep no more in here
Harry Thomas Pictures *in the forest of the shite
Harry Thomas Pictures why does everyone hate daleks in manhattan and evolution of the daleks so much? they weren't great but they weren't bad.
And each of them are redeemed for me for very clear reasons:
1-Fathers day shows how forgiving and caring the Doctor can be, with the way that even though Rose screwed up he still tried to help and protect her. (it was not shoved in our face as they have tried to do lately with the whole "I have a duty of care" thing)
2-Donna!(that's all I'm gonna say)
Yeah I figured both of those would be the ones most people would make cases for, because I know they have their fans. And I even see some of the good points in both, but the things that I disliked more than cancelled out those good moments or aspects. They did for me, at any rate.
My least favorite is "Love and Monsters"... I skip it when I show Dr. Who to friends, I skip it when I re-watch episodes. You're right. It is insultingly bad.
UncleMilo it's HORRENDOUS
@@bizarrebunny5579 ....can't disagree with you enough. LOVE "Love and monsters" to bits!
I just laugh at how bad the episode is
Leonard Lawrence seriously that's a new one I've never seen before
@@bizarrebunny5579....new Who at it's best, sorry! Nothing anyone says will deter us lovers of "Love".
Finally somebody who actually sees how bad the idiot's lantern is. That episode is fucking dreadful.
Dales in Manhatten was Okie when I first watched it but now that I think about it, pig slaves... What?
To be fair it wasn't the only Doctor Who episode to have weird pig things XD that seemed to be an occasionally recurring thing
I didn't find it great but not awful it was just there to make the episodes number up to 13
I think that Fear Her could have worked with Steven Moffat - his ability to turn childish concepts into something scary is amazing.
(For my money, 42, In the Forest of the Night and The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe should have been on here.)
Nightmare in Silver, Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS, Daleks in Manhattan 2 part and Idiot's lantern are great episodes.
ikr
i agree except on the idiots lantern. That episode was awful imo
Fathers day? really?
Yup. Didn't like it first time I saw it and it's failed to grow on me since then. I may be the only one beating this particular drum, but I ain't stopping anytime soon.
ill admit the reapers werent good. they had to add them in as the bbc said that there had to be a villain in every episode.
Nightmare in Silver is actually one of my favorites but I do agree that it should have been a two parter.
One of my favs too.. And should have been a two parter for sure. (never enough Gaiman in the Whoniverse!)
Journey to the center of the tardis is actually one of my favourite episode. I love the mystery behind what's inside the tardis.
yeah, I like journey to the center of the TARDIS too. I know we're strange, but i'm fine with it.
It's one of the best episodes in series 7B along with Nightmare in Silver and The Name of the Doctor.
I'm sorry I just can't stand love and monsters it's in my opinion just sh*t like he wrote when he was drunk
FATHER’s DAY?!? are you mad ? brilliant story, music and plot. very emotional episode. one of my favourites.
Hear hear!
The only thing decent about The Rings of Akhaten was the Doctor's speech at the end, the rest of the episode fell flat
The Name Of The Doctor is so confusing. On An Unearthly Child.Susan says that she invented the name TARDIS but Steven Moffat ruin that thing. The Timelords who watched the doctor stealing the tardis.mention "TARDIS"
You skip hide!? Crazy world we live in!
10. Rose 9. end of the world. 8. new earth. 7. victory of the daleks. 6.fear her 5.
The wire is a great episode
MaxOrushy no just no...But I'll respect your opinion
Yeah, if you like villains that are horribly cliched and annoying
The Wire should have manifested as a little Japanese girl rather than an old English lady.
I thought so too
- Love and Monsters
- Kill the Moon
- In the Forest of the Night
- The Girl Who Died / The Woman Who Lived
- Arachnids in the UK
- The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos
- Orphan 55
- Praxeus
- Ascension of the Cyberman / The Timeless Child
- Legend of the Sea Devils
I personally love the lazuras experiment one of my fav episode I thought the monster was sooo cool it chasing the doctor and martha around was awesome
Honestly one of the scariest monster designs in the series thus fare imo.
For me the lazarus experiment and 42 are good, but 42 is one my favorite episodes
Editor: fear her is one of my favourite ones too
i love lazarus experiment and 42 too!
No Hell Bent? Worst episode by far imo. Agree with most of the ones on this list though, except for Daleks in Manhattan I thought it was okay.
My feelings on Hell Bent have been... a bit of a journey. This is going to come up in one of the videos I have coming out this month.
Council of Geeks Alright! :)
I thought daleks in manhattan felt like it was there to make the episode number up to 13
10. The Space Pirates
9. Four to Doomsday
8. Victory of the Daleks
7. The Lie of the Land
6. Destiny of the Daleks
5. Kill the Moon
4. Let's Kill Hitler
3. The Twin Dilemma
2. Warriors of the Deep
In my opinion rings of akhaten is one of my favs pls respect my opinion.
Where's Hell Bent?
headbite alien He did this video in 2016, before Hell Bent aired.
The worst thing new who does is that they always seem to have at least 1 episode in a season where they 'get a distress signal fron a ship, go there and then they meet the crew and oh no, the TARDIS is stuck or other generic problem and oh no big threat which is gonna kill everyone'.
Where was The Forest of the night and Hell Bent!
I disagree with most of these, but I respect your opinion.
But the Lazarus Experiment was horrific, you're completely right there.
Sleep know more was without a doubt the worst doctor who episode ever made
return of doctor mysterio
I can't pinpoint what was bad about it, it was just awful
It was bad but love and monsters forever is the worst episode
No it was good
Phovon I’m just pretending that one never happened
With the exception of the top 3 I actually don't mind these stories. I'd have put Hell Bent at number one.
I agree with your picks, except for The Daughter of the Doctor because that episode had great emotion, had Donna as a companion, and made me cry a lot ^^
Why do people hate The a Doctor the Window and the Wardrobe?
It was one of my first episodes I watched... and I liked it.
Hell Bent?...
That one's weird for me and my opinion on it (though never positive) has varied in terms of exactly how negative I feel about it.
Clara and ashilda (I refuse to call her me) get a fucking tardis... like, do I need to go on XD
Edit: also the fact that the diner tardis makes no sense because the door the doctor walks in would lead straight to the console room.
Obviously btw this is my opinion but you must get what I mean somewhat
@Lucy Eales yeah i agree, it is one of my favourite episodes ever
Lost any interest in your list once you started with Father's Day. One of the most moving pieces of television I've seen, and led me to rebuild relations with my parents. Superbly written and acted.
Damn you made some REALLY bad choices
Yeah but I guess it's his opinion
Christopher Ecclestone onwards is my childhood
I love the Doctor's Daughter, I thoughtit was a pretty strong episode. It did feel a little cluttered but overall I really liked it.
Aliens of London and World War 3. The Slitheen are awful. I almost stopped watching the show as a result of that 2 parter.
Austin Gonzales the slithreen hurt me
Dude I loved that episode
It's especially bad when you consider the results of The 10th Doctor lashing out at Harriet Jones (or whatever her name was).
Getting her fired caused a LOT of later issues, including his death.
The absorbaloff concept should have been an origin story, absorbing the memories of the dying until they absorb a psychopath
Let's Kill Hitler, The Almost People two parter, Fear Her, Journey to The Centre of The Tardis, Curse of The Black Spot, The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe, Hell Bent, Kill The Moon, Asylum of The Daleks and Nightmare in Silver
love and monsters worst episode ever like man i can't even watch it anymore it;s just horrible and how the hell they got away with that sly oral sex joke at the end of the episode the thought of that is a nightmare
animelovers000 Another one of those episodes I've completely forgot existed
A kid came up with the concept of the Absorbaloff - they had a competition for kids and that was the winner. Yes, they exploited a child's creativity to twist it into a blowjob joke. Dis.Gus.Ting.
I have to say fathers day is one of my favourite episodes.
I actually liked fear her *kill me now*
i liked too was fun
@@carlostapuera7149 no it was pure shit
10: The Power of Three
9: The Magician's Apprentice/The Witch's Familiar
8: In the Forest of the Night
7: Asylum of the Daleks
6: New Earth
5: Let's Kill Hitler
4: The Wedding River Song
3: The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe
2: Sleep No More
Dishonorable Mentions: The Idiot's Lantern, The Girl Who Died/The Woman Who Lived, Nightmare in Silver, Curse of the Black Spot, Fear Her, The Lodger, and Closing Time.
:v
I feel like people forget that when Who came back in 2005 it was essentially a British kids TV show. It was only as that original audience matured that so did the show
I dont understand why a lot of people hate Love and Monsters. I think it was a really good episode!
It was a noble attempt at something different, I think for most of us it's just too goofy.
I hated it cringed the whole time and think it DESERVES no.1 sh*ttest episode of all time
I LOVE doctor who.
Anyways, here is my obligatory top 10 of least liked episodes (in no particullar order, maybe exept for number one):
11. The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe (nonsensical, lazily written load of christmas wank)
10. The Long Game (was incredibly dull in what was an overall incredible season. Stands out like a sore thumb)
9. The Idiot's Lantern (though, I like the interactions bewteen 10 and Rose, I can barely care for anything else in that episode)
8. Impossible Austronaut/Day of the Moon (Steven Moffat just wanks all over Doctor Who in some of his most unneccerily self indulgent story)
7. Let's Kill Hitler (Ruined River Song beyond repair)
6. The Vicroty of Daleks (was a bit dull and also ruined Daleks for the rest of Matt Smith's run)
5. Sonatarian Stratagem 2 parter (Almost makes me fall asleep. Not one, but two incredibly dull episodes
4. Daleks in Manhattan 2 parter (mentioned above)
3. Unicorn and the Wasp (I can barely put my finger on it, but I just highly dislike this episode)
2. Fear Her (already mentioned it above)
1. Love and Monsters (just fuck it)
These are actually probably the only episodes of Modern Doctor Who, that I activly dislike and have a negative opinion on. Also hope you read comments.
Джамиль Ахундов impossible astronaut? You for real??😂 that's got to be one of the best 2 parters in new who let alone series 6
Father's Day as one of the worst Who eps ever? Now it makes sense why you have no subscribers.
The 13th Doctor well he has 9k more subscribers than you mate
I don’t think amount of subscribers merit how good you are as a person.... look at Logan Paul.
Season 2 was so bad... the only eps I still like are The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit
teeth and claw was good
me too, quite liked school reunion, seeing Sarah again, other wise, er no!
The finale
You should remake this list to update your ideas
I am a huge Doctor Who fan and I can tell you now, your list sucks!
Every episode you named are actually very good episodes and designed and written very well. Most of these episodes also linked with the story for those seasons and were used to relate back to the main story. No episode you named was bad.👍
Master of Music everyone has different opinions and normally in these lists he does it in his opinion
I'd be interested to know your worst ten
Duckox: My worst = No Episode at All
Master of Music So you think Fear Her is just as strong as an episode like Midnight?
Duckox
I'm not saying it's the best episode ever, I'm just saying I think that these episodes are highly judged but aren't that bad, that's my opinion👍
Introduces Ace though :D
7. Delta and the Bannerman. Just why......This story didn't need to happen
6. Paradise Towers. Major Plotholes galore
5. Time and The Rani. A major insult to both C. Baker and Mccoy.
4. Fear Her. How can you out bad act the twins from "The Twin Dilema"
3. Kill The Moon. Nu-Who you can't do social commentary subtly unless you get Robert Shearman. So just stop trying to.
2. The Doctors Daughter. The Doctor is the man who would and has! MANY TIMES.
1. The End of Time. Three Plots. Bad Master. And "I Don't wanna Go"? REALLY TEN?
TimeCLASH, not TimeLASH
2. POST TIME WAR DOCTOR didn't
No it's timelash....
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timelash
And also. The Doctor can and has killed people. He's a pacifist but he gets when he needs to use force. Even the 12th Doctor knows when violence is needed
Timelash is a full story...
Updated list of the worst doctor who episodes.
1: The woman who fell to earth
2: The Ghost Monument
3: Rosa
4: Arachnids in the UK
5: The Tauranga Conundrum
6: Demons of the Punjab
7: Kerblam!
8: The Witchfinders
9: It takes you away
10: The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos
Dishonourable mention that didn't quite make the list:
Resolution
Kerblam and It takes you away were alright but still not great
does deaths angel want to kill the 13th doctor, please!!! And the 14th and chibby til we get some sanity back!
all of capaldis series 10 should be on there. it was all shit
Pronkt tbh the first two episodes of the blind doctor arc and the finale was pretty good
Minus flatline, I’d have to agree with you. I love capaldi, but he was given shit to work with.
*Season 9
Peter capaldi is amazing
I think series 10 was the best of capaldis. I felt 9 was so much worse
I fully agree with you on the idiots lantern
YES. that episode was dreadful
Sleep No More. The Idiot's Lantern is at least watchable and I really enjoyed the 1950s feel to it and the Elvis references.
A lot of New Who feels rushed...mainly because it is. They should be doing all 2 or 3-parters, or something.
10. Sleep no more.
9. School reunion.
8. 42.
7. The God complex.
6. The Sontaran stratagem and The poison sky.
5. A good man goes to war.
4. Love and monsters.
3. The magician's apprentice and The witch's familiar.
2. Dinosaurs on a spaceship.
1. The wedding of River Song.
I get what they were going for with Fear Her by talking about dealing with child abuse, but it just didn't feel like a doctor who episode...At all
Daleks in Manhattan wasn’t that bad, but while watching it it felt like an eternity.
Father’s Day is one of the absolute best episodes
You are definitely right. Fear her is my worst. But I can't exactly argue with your choices either. (I personally liked Love and Monsters, but I do argue with anyone who does not)
My Personal List is:
10 = Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks.
9 = Nightmare in Silver.
8 = Asylum of the Daleks.
7 = Fear Her.
6 = In the forest of the Night..
5 = The Next Doctor.
4 = Kill the Moon.
3 = The Zygon Invasion/The Zygon Inversion.
2 = Hell Bent.
1 = Love and Monsters.
1. The Idiot's Lantern (0/10)
2. The Curse of the black spot (1/10)
3. Love and Monsters (1.5/10)
4. In the Forest of the Night (2/10)
5. The Girl Who Died (Not the woman who lived just this first part. 2/10)
6. Arachnids in the UK (2/10)
7. The Tsuranga Conundrum (2.5/10)
8. Let's kill hitler (2.5/10)
9. Sleep No More (3/10)
10. Fear Her (3/10)
1. Let's Kill Hitler
2. The Girl Who Died
3. Love and Monsters
4. Kill the Moon
5. Sleep No More
6. The Girl Who Waited
7. The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe
8. In the Forest of the Night
9. A Christmas Carol
10. Fear Her
The reason fear her is so bad is because they had literally no budget left after army of ghosts and doomsday
father's day is a great episode
Wow, I love Fathers Day, one of my favourite episodes ever
Oh boy, I'd put a few in here. Hell Bent, Fear Her, Robot Of Sherwood, Love And Monsters, Sleep No More, Nightmare In Silver among them.
For whatever reason "fear her" here in Germany is the only doctor who episode that's fsk 16 and I just don't get why...
my top 10:
10.The Lazarus Experiment
9.The Idiot's Lantern
8.The Zygon Inversion/The Zygon Invasion
7.The Girl who died
6.The Woman who lived
5.Hell Bent

The Doctor's daughter is in my top 10 favourite episodes
