As an automation and security installer since 1980. I think new technology is great and if you’re thinking of increasing the security of your home and office this equipment is so cheap it is worth the potential risk hell if you put a warranty on it and buy it from Amazon it’s a win-win but not all of it is reliable but I think a Wi-Fi camera on a solar powered platform is about as potentially unreliable as you can possibly get I always encourage people hardwire any of these cheap Ptz Camera’s avoid solar panels for the price it’s worth trying but I don’t think it will work consistently good luck
You raise a good point. But this type of gadgets were not intended for a highly secured area (a bank or a nuclear installation for example). These are consumer gadgets that come cheap and easy to install/use. I would assume, most households don't have any surveillance at all. In the advent of the IP camera, it is becoming common to install DIY systems.

@@zakariafarah1101 he’s not saying they won’t work but don’t be surprised if next year the solar panel don’t keep up the battery …. So unless you want to upgrade the battery in a year and possibly replace the solar panel with a higher quality one then maybe just look into doing a wired system .
If you do a lil research cat5 cable is cheap and not hard to run and have it done once right for probably the same price as buying this and having to replace it every two years. Or upgrade its battery’s the one time most people need a security camera is at night or after the solar panels have not been working for hours to be generous.
A wired system is a lil more actual work than just screwing this this to a wall and downloading a app hehe
It depends on how long your going to be in the location your putting this in if your a renter then this is great if you own a home though it’s like building a good fence do it right the first time nothing worst than having to do things twice and do triple the work and pay for a good products anyway in the end.

So if you are just using the SD card would you have to remove it from the camera or can it be viewed from your computer without taking out the card? I wouldn't be wanting to drag out my ladder every day to check out the recordings. Thanks. Great review.

Great video! What happens when sd card storage is full? Can you remotely erase it or does the camera do it itself? Or it simply stops recording? Can its batteries last a ehole night if recording non stop? Did you play with batteries' capacity? To put larger mAh batteries for example?
It will loop record but I haven't gotten there yet on the 32gb card I've installed. I have actually taken out one of the battery since it is always 100% fully charged and it is still always at 100%.
Go to settings and look for format but you can save a video and pictures first than format the sd card to a fresh new SD card it’s a great camera so much you can do with this camera I love mine
Do they charge a subscription bcs in Wyze they said no but now they wanna charge me and stop working does this works without a subscription

Nice video, mine stopped rotating and the motion detector light stopped showing as well, how do I go about it?
Mine is still working and it is in direct sun all day. Maybe try and reset or restart from scratch. I noticed on one of the other cameras, a restart fixed its issues. If you bought it less than 30 days with prime you can replace it or money back.

While the solar panel provides reliable charging, the cameras performance may vary depending on the amount of sunlight available. During sunny days, no problems. However, during periods of limited sunlight or cloudy weather, the batteries may run out of charge if “woken up” constantly. Therefore, It's important to consider the weather conditions when relying solely on solar power. It does have micro usb charging so, plug it in on cloudy periods. I haven’t had any issues with just solar powered year round.

You can add as many as you want but you can only see live feed from just one camera at a time.

If you have an outside flood light that comes on can you place that over the camera area so that the sensors think it's daylight all the time and you can work with that instead of the infrared?

App works without port forwarding. I can connect to the camera while out of town.
Of course camera needs internet access.
A tunnel is created when you use the app to login into your account. From there you can view you cameras. Live view. Settings. And stored events. Cloud or memory card.

You don't need power but you do need wifi.

Detection sensitivity can be set to off, low, med and high.

Hello , can I use a 3.7V 18650 Rechargeable Battery 5000mAh or need to by 2600 mAh
it is always better to use the same mah size batteries when discharging and charging which is what this solar panel will do if you mix and match them in parallel if that is what you are asking. It will work if you mix them but I would either use all 2600mah or all 5000mah batts just to be safe.

I don't know how long it will record. It hasn't even recorded 1gb of the 32 gb card and I've had it for ever since the video. This is a wifi security camera so it will need wifi :) You will need a cellular camera if your cabin does not have wifi.

I don't know. Here in the California desert, the hail are very tiny if we get some but if a golf ball / baseball sized frenzy were to arrive it will protect the camera at least even if it breaks.

I have the same camera. But one problem. I only can access the cam while its active and detecting some motion. After that, it goes to standby mode within seconds. While beeing in standby i cant wake up the cam and i have to wait for next motion detection until i can access again?! When its in standby mode its not connected to the wifi anymore.
you should be able to wake it up at will so something not right with your unit.

You will need wifi for this camera.
You can either set up wifi to reach the camera or go with a cellular camera.

I have done everything I can try to get mine to sink they won't sink we put one up it lasted a day and then it stopped working having so much trouble with them I'm sending them back anybody else have this issue

I have a ink way solar wireless TPC camera and the setup on this thing is horrible I cannot for the life of me get this thing to pair I'm not sure if I need to be hooked up at 2.4 gigahertz instead of 5 but I have done everything I can in the manual to pair this thing and it will not pair. what am I doing wrong

I have a very seriously problem. My camera did not come with any re-chargeable batteries. Therefore I did buy 6 Sony US18650VTC6 - 30A batteries. I don't know if the batteries was pre-charged, but for now the batteries have been mounted in the camera for hours with external powersupply, and the camera work when the external power supply is on, but not with the power charge cable is removed. Have I got the wrong batteries or is there a failure in the camera ?? I have bought the camera on e-bay from a chineese seller, and he is impossible to communicate with. Any help and suggestion would therefore be very much appriciated. One more thing. When the solarpanel is pointing into the light it looks as if the batteries is fully charged. When I point the panel into the dark the battery charge status is gray. Happy chrismas to You
I don't know what to tell you but it should work seamlessly with the batteries installed.
One of the reasons why you should buy from Amazon instead is the ease of returning it and getting your full refund. Hope you figure it out :)
@@RCEscape Hi I have finally solved the problem and my camera is now working on batteries. The battery compartment is constructed, so You have to use BUTTON TOP 18650 batteries. Nothing about that in the setup guide, and because most 18650 batteries on the market is without button on the plus pole, I had ordered the wrong batteries
