  • These videos are small segments taken from a short Demonstration real of David Falcaro showing his art Sogobujutsu. Originally this was put together in 2005 for Chuck Norris. An acquaintance of mine, Bob Wall, promised to pass on this Demo to Mr. Norris. In the hopes that Chuck would invite us to some elite martial arts event held annually in Lost Vegas. I was told that Chuck Norris loved the Demo but the event was not being held that year.
Since then from 2005 to 2010 the Demo has been shown to private audiences and used in historical demonstrations. It has been posted, in part, in an article done up in World Black Belt in 2006.
We have not done anything with in for a over a year now, so we thought we would throw it up on UA-cam. I hope you enjoy it.

You've got some really great arm-locks and take-downs in there, skilled stuff. Very nice.

Sensei, would you explain please why your school [and Bujinkan] do shihonage as you do, with minimal elbow crank and huge stepping pull through, instead of like aikido, that puts the crank at wrist and elbow on max ASAP? Seems to me their way is quicker to gain control and so safer and more efficient.

    Is this like ninjutsu ?

The art has ninjutsu in it, but it is much more than that. The art form is totalitarian in it's usage. If you are interested in learning more search "Sogobujutsu book" and pick up the textbook written by David C. Falcaro.

I wonder who would win? A master in this "Martial art" or a dude with two yrs of his life dedicated to boxing?

Which martial art. The problem is that we are grouped together as if we are one. Martial arts are very separate things. That's why we refer to ourselves as a warrior science and not just a martial art.

It depends on a lot. Is the martial artist hindered in anyway? Is the martial artist armed?
