I'm gonna try these out as soon as I can, an immediate benefit I see from this type of build is too encourage proper spacing of tram stops, I have a habit of plopping them down every two blocks or so but by making purpose builds like this I'll spread them out farther. I always underestimate the distance my people are willing to walk.
The second type of stop would really benefit from the road to be turned into avenue+bus lane so the buses have their usual platform to their right side (if you set the city to be right hand driving). The other advantage of the design is that trams also have a loop to turn around so it can be a terminus for a tram line as well. The third design must be elongated if you play with longer modded tramsets. The second one is my favorite by far.
Thanks for the video. If I can make one small suggestion to the loops - you can always double the capacity of a tram loop by having a double line. Have one clockwise route and another anti-clockwise route.
That's typical yes but sometimes your lines get too long. What I like about the interchange in example 3 is it could be modified to split a double loop into two smaller double loops for places where you have a long main street. Also could make a version where one loop goes E-W and the other N-S crossing here at a train station maybe.
I'm going to build style #2 tonight, but im going to make the vehicle traffic split into one ways and occupy where you put your tramlines, and allow the trams to continue straight down the center. The only reason I'm doing this is so that the vehicles and trams dont cross one another at the junctions, if that makes sense.
I was just thinking of that variation myself and figured it'd be less disruptive to the arterial I was thinking of building it along. Also can more easily put a metro, monorail, or train station on the roads on each side and make it a hub.
First off, nice new Modular Build format. I've been putting off getting the Snow DLC but all of this Tram inspiration you've been creating has compelled me to break down and get it. I'm starting to see several uses for trams in my latest project. As always, thanks Egg for the great content. Hope you had a nice holiday and glad to hear you are feeling better. Cheers and see you on the next Livestream.
The one thing I would change for the first two is make sure there's a node in the center by drawing out small segments starting in the middle. Cims only cross the tracks at nodes, and stops are always located in the middle of a segment. By making sure a node is in the middle it makes a straight path for the cims, and you can offset the stops so that they are set after the node so that cims always cross behind a tramcar (which is an irl safety feature).
After seeing this video I wud recommend Imperatur video of tram stops 😄 one tip: u can put park tiles and a bus stop prop or a truck please try to make 1 video of modular bulid once in week pls 🙏
Im actually going through all your old content to learn more about the game and its crazy how you make the simplest stuff look so nice. Ive actually started to become a more aesthetic builder because of it. It helps a lot imagining what I'd want to see in a city when it comes to how the areas look. Like if its not gonna look nice why even bother?
Love #2, it adds some much-needed curves into CS's gridded construction, also because the tramlines connect across the road, it could be used as a turnaround point for trams too, so could work as a terminal/interchange for multiple routes etc etc like #3.
Absolutely love these simple and beautiful details. I can see myself just opening up this video when I need to build a tram stop. I especially like the idea of combining the last one with another public transport option as well. Great video, thank you. Love the music as well.
Good designs as always, Egg! The #3 is perfect to shorten tram lines, like in a big avenue You also can make a big road square and draw inside 4 of these little tram squares, each one going to one direction, with paths linking them to people access 😁
Another great video on how to add some character to a city. Thank you kindly my friend. Whoever dislikes these videos doesn't like puppies and I don't want to know them
I think for the third design, pedestrian bridges connecting the tram stops and the train station would help a lot, in terms of traffic and well, commuter comfort haha. Underground walkways are also an option, but I think that’s more for dense areas due to space limitations?
I think this video is a perfect example of how little details go a long way! Excellent work, Egg!
Thank you buddy 😁
Did you mean, eggcellent?
I do love how you make the simplest of builds look so impressive.
Thank you mate!

Imp is the master! Feel free to suggest some MBs :)
I'm addicted to these more recent modular builds!!! Thank you!! So inspiring!

love love love your modular builds especially the transportation ones!!!
Thank you bro! Maybe a Metro one next?

Great ideas! It would also benefit from an elevated path on reflection! Thank you :)
Great video as always and today's modular build was fantastic!!
Thank you bro!
Something to watch after work!! Lovely.
Love that. I'm the person who LOVES trams. And I'm using them in every city and know also a lot of tram stops you can build but yours are great! ^-^
I know*
More tram ideas always welcome. I was thinking of adding a 4th line to my 160K city and feel really inspired by your second example. Thumbs up Egg!
Very nice... I like the second stop...
Thanks!

Yay!!! You back 🥰 hope you had a good well deserved break. We missed you
These are some very good designs. I will be implementing some of these in my cities forthwith. Thanks for the inspiration
Nice little builds. These really highlight how a bit of attention can make a huge difference.
Another great video on how to add some character to a city. Thank you kindly my friend. Whoever dislikes these videos doesn't like puppies and I don't want to know them
That was nice.
Would good to do a center sportive
Really nice ways to spice up what is usually a really boring aspect of builds 👍
Thanks as always for the awesome ideas! Looking forward to your tier video for the vanilla maps :)
Coming next :)
One more master piece from OE
You should think about how people cross the collector roads especially in the last one- a pedestrian over or underpass would be a cool feature
Love the outro music!
Love them, would be sweet to see connected high speed bike networks version
Would love to see some Elementary School and High School builds
Worth looking at this again so I can add to my newest map!

Simple and Genius. :)
3 simple and easy green cities HD residential patterns :D
Egg came back with an itch for the spice, 2 weeks off was too long
Some back to basics spice here, lovely stuff
Love it!!!!
This was such a good video. Very helpful. Great tips and design. Quick question. Where do cims cross tram tracks? Anywhere or just at the nodes?
I turn off ad block just for you egg
thanks daddy
Option B makes good practical sense but I don't like the overuse of part assets. Some simple foliage is enough.
I think both have their place :)
How about a medical complex using all the medical assets
Maybe something with neighborhoods?
We did a low density one before :) ua-cam.com/video/uZJOObY6LeU/v-deo.html
What software are you using?
OBS to record, Premiere for editing :)
