So happy to see a video on this topic. I painfully watched the original video Spencer is reacting to and thought I would add my 2 cents. Firstly, Steve is a salesman and a fraud. If he was legitimately a good handicapper with sound advice he would have a high client retention rate + would sign a large majority of his clients through referrals and word of mouth. Secondly, Steve is too confident in his picks. I’ve talked to a number of professional handicappers and they are some of the most humble people I know. Lastly, the Martingale system is destined to fail when sports betting. Sharps go on big losing streaks, it’s apart of the game. My mentor who wins around a 60% rate has had more 6+ losing streaks than you would think. To anyone reading this comment that is interested in paying for picks, I do not advise it. The sportsbook’s vig is hard enough to beat, in my opinion you’re better off trying to win by yourself. One thing to note is that some professionals do hit above 58% (assuming -110 odds) and it is very much achievable. Unlike “The Bookie Killa” these elite handicappers choose to stay silent and that is why you don’t hear a lot about it. This is all coming from a guy who wins at about a 56% rate so take that however you will. If anyone has any questions leave a comment and I’ll more than happily answer, same goes with if you want to challenge anything I said. That goes for you too Spencer.

Regarding martingale - there are different types of progressions in betting, not just a simple 1x-3x-9x. There are soft progressions and other types (GRIDS) that can be used smart based on statistics and past performance to generate a great winning system, like the ones we have in sports trader 2.0.

@@NeverTalkToCops1 the system is you double down on your total LOSS. Ex. Bet 500 lose, bet 1000 lose, system says you are supposed to bet 3000 next time. Lose that you bet 9500 and so on. It's designed so you profit if you hit on your 3rd 4th and 5th bets. you win the 1st you're up 5. You win the 2nd you're even and you start over. You only don't profit if you hit the 2nd bet, but then you can start from square 1. This system is Ok if you start at like 100. 100,200,600,1800,5400. If you lose 5 in a row, thats when issues arise. It is very hard to lose 6 bets in a row though. The odds of that happening are 1.5% or 1/64. Bet 5 games 64 times, youll lose 5in a row only once. But this guy talking about casinos stopping your action at a certain amount. Does he not realize there are 50 sportsbooks In Vegas? You can bet 10 dimes at them all if needed. Even if you're at a casino in another state like mass. Go to the kiosks (we have over 100) and you can place a 500$-1000$ bet at each one throughout the day lmao. So there's ways around it.
My guess is Steve Stevens works in tandem with the casinos and they give him a percentage of all the losses from clients he brings in. That's a thing in the casinos BTW.
All he has to do is bet on the opposing team and he will lock in a 25% profit on every dollar amount his client bets. If his client loses big and walks away, he still wins.
Was on a winning weekend years ago and decided to try steve stevens. I told him i was onky a $250 per game player. He told me to bet $500 the first game. I bet $250 and won. Second game he had me play $1000. Lost. Third game if i would have played what he told i would have lost ny entire bankroll. I work in the gaming industry, Im a lines manager for one of the big offshore gaming companies. Almost no sportsbook will let you bet 60k just like that. For the SB tomorrow we will let a couple of great customers $100k. Most of the regular guys bet less than $1k and the high rollers go for $10k. Believe me, is not normal to take $60k
I used to do dicing in runescape (dont judge me lol) and people would do the martingale strategy all the time... It works until it doesnt.. People would basically stay and keep gambling until they went on a 5-6 losing spree and lost everything. The odds of going on a 5 losing spree is 3.1% (one half to the fifth power), and that resets every time you play... So if you play say 50 times, you're pretty much guaranteed to have at least one 5 losing spree in there. Also, it doesnt benefit you at all to go on winning sprees since you reset your bet every time you win.
just a correction. the win rate doesnt matter. its all relative. you can be profitable with a greater than 75% win rate if your average odds are 1.33 or you can be profitable with a greater than 50% win rate if your average odds are 2.00

One nitpick. Books don't have betting limits because of Martingale, they only have it for risk management on their end. Even without betting limits, Martingale doesn't work. There's no way to structure negative ev bets to make them positive EV. It's counter intuitive that Martingale doesn't work, but you will ALWAYS hit a losing streak that will break you.
In fairness, chasing losses is a strategy that can work…if u win that elimination game. I call it that because if u lose that game, you’re probably done until next season.

While most bookies cap bets fairly early, Pinnacle and other businesses make money off the juice, so they will take your 100k bet and more, but sometimes in smaller markets theyll take it in small chunks to move the line. Good video tho!

So happy to see a video on this topic. I painfully watched the original video Spencer is reacting to and thought I would add my 2 cents.
Firstly, Steve is a salesman and a fraud. If he was legitimately a good handicapper with sound advice he would have a high client retention rate + would sign a large majority of his clients through referrals and word of mouth. Secondly, Steve is too confident in his picks. I’ve talked to a number of professional handicappers and they are some of the most humble people I know. Lastly, the Martingale system is destined to fail when sports betting. Sharps go on big losing streaks, it’s apart of the game. My mentor who wins around a 60% rate has had more 6+ losing streaks than you would think.
To anyone reading this comment that is interested in paying for picks, I do not advise it. The sportsbook’s vig is hard enough to beat, in my opinion you’re better off trying to win by yourself. One thing to note is that some professionals do hit above 58% (assuming -110 odds) and it is very much achievable. Unlike “The Bookie Killa” these elite handicappers choose to stay silent and that is why you don’t hear a lot about it. This is all coming from a guy who wins at about a 56% rate so take that however you will. If anyone has any questions leave a comment and I’ll more than happily answer, same goes with if you want to challenge anything I said. That goes for you too Spencer.

Steve's client told him he had a 50 grand bankroll and Steve told him to beat 10 grand a game lol. The clients risk of ruin would be very high and he eventually would lose. With a 50 grand bankroll you would bet 500 to 1 grand a game that's 1 to 2 percent of your bankroll

Great video Spencer. Most of those bookie "killas" are connected to specific casino, like the one you see in his videos where they get commission from. As for people who lost money - most of them remain silent, as everyone understands the risk of betting.
Regarding martingale - there are different types of progressions in betting, not just a simple 1x-3x-9x. There are soft progressions and other types (GRIDS) that can be used smart based on statistics and past performance to generate a great winning system, like the ones we have in sports trader 2.0.

Casinos have bet limits to stop exponential bets. Remember, doubling down only gets you back to zero if you win.
@@NeverTalkToCops1 the system is you double down on your total LOSS. Ex. Bet 500 lose, bet 1000 lose, system says you are supposed to bet 3000 next time. Lose that you bet 9500 and so on. It's designed so you profit if you hit on your 3rd 4th and 5th bets. you win the 1st you're up 5. You win the 2nd you're even and you start over. You only don't profit if you hit the 2nd bet, but then you can start from square 1. This system is Ok if you start at like 100. 100,200,600,1800,5400. If you lose 5 in a row, thats when issues arise. It is very hard to lose 6 bets in a row though. The odds of that happening are 1.5% or 1/64. Bet 5 games 64 times, youll lose 5in a row only once. But this guy talking about casinos stopping your action at a certain amount. Does he not realize there are 50 sportsbooks In Vegas? You can bet 10 dimes at them all if needed. Even if you're at a casino in another state like mass. Go to the kiosks (we have over 100) and you can place a 500$-1000$ bet at each one throughout the day lmao. So there's ways around it.

All he has to do is bet on the opposing team and he will lock in a 25% profit on every dollar amount his client bets. If his client loses big and walks away, he still wins.

Was on a winning weekend years ago and decided to try steve stevens. I told him i was onky a $250 per game player. He told me to bet $500 the first game. I bet $250 and won. Second game he had me play $1000. Lost. Third game if i would have played what he told i would have lost ny entire bankroll. Luckily i didnt play his plays again after the loss cause he next pick lost horribly as a -145 fav. The final score was 13-3 big L. I know first hand his money management was all bs when he ttried to convince ne to play out if my comfort zone. That is degenorate gambling not money management.

I work in the gaming industry, Im a lines manager for one of the big offshore gaming companies. Almost no sportsbook will let you bet 60k just like that.
For the SB tomorrow we will let a couple of great customers $100k.
Most of the regular guys bet less than $1k and the high rollers go for $10k.

I used to do dicing in runescape (dont judge me lol) and people would do the martingale strategy all the time... It works until it doesnt.. People would basically stay and keep gambling until they went on a 5-6 losing spree and lost everything. The odds of going on a 5 losing spree is 3.1% (one half to the fifth power), and that resets every time you play... So if you play say 50 times, you're pretty much guaranteed to have at least one 5 losing spree in there. Also, it doesnt benefit you at all to go on winning sprees since you reset your bet every time you win.

just a correction. the win rate doesnt matter. its all relative. you can be profitable with a greater than 75% win rate if your average odds are 1.33 or you can be profitable with a greater than 50% win rate if your average odds are 2.00

One nitpick. Books don't have betting limits because of Martingale, they only have it for risk management on their end. Even without betting limits, Martingale doesn't work. There's no way to structure negative ev bets to make them positive EV. It's counter intuitive that Martingale doesn't work, but you will ALWAYS hit a losing streak that will break you.

Most of the places could let you bet $10k if you are new, but Im possitive that they wont let you bet $20k on the 2nd one, its not like that
While most bookies cap bets fairly early, Pinnacle and other businesses make money off the juice, so they will take your 100k bet and more, but sometimes in smaller markets theyll take it in small chunks to move the line. Good video tho!
