Yes we love ALL of your chatter! I just grab my knitting, expand my screen, put my earphones in and sit back and enjoy all of your content! It’s just like knit night with yarnie friends. And I really do love the sewing segments too. You two are such a joy to watch and I never fail to learn something. Thank you for this fabulous podcast. ❤️❤️❤️
I love how Grandma, knitting, tooth fairies, rice bags, fabric stores and "hey, what are you wearing?" are all a part of your episodes! Yay, I love dogs! Thank you soooo much!
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna ii feel like this is a knitting circle where you learn from how other knitters do the same or new techniques. It is great to hear you get technical about how you do things, Kim.
Funny story…my daughter who has just lost her last baby tooth yesterday heard the bit about the tooth fairy 😅 I was thinking about a spoiler alert and then you actually said it out loud 🤣. It’s okay…she already knew the truth about the tooth fairy 🧚♀️
Kim asked if we love listening to the detail knitting talk and YES! I don't have knitting friends so I really do love listening to the details of your stitches and how you do things.
Thank you for sharing another wonderful conversation. I DID lol when Kim asked if we actually LIKE listening to this-meaning all those little details of direction of stitches and row by row rundowns of projects. Seriously learning more from those little side bars than you’ll ever realize. I gasped “NO!“ When she said, “If this is boring you can fast forward through it.” I feel like I’m right there with you both, and relish every single bit. I appreciate the tremendous amount of work you put into this channel. Blessings to you both. 🧶💜
When I was seriously into quilting, my son would ask me why did I need to still take classes. The answer: we are always learning throughout our lives. So, please keep discussing how each of you are weaving in your ends as you knit and any other tidbits. It’s not boring! I’d say to go once step further and do a minisode about just that! Continuing to love this podcast! Thank you 😊 Jonna, For the sweater you’re wearing today, did you us two different needles: one for knitting flat and one for knitting in the round? I started “A Gentleman in Moscow” three times and then gave up! Not like me at all!
Hi Ann. I just bought the audiobook version, so I hope I like it better! I weave in my ends as I go, "weavin' Stephen" method. I've also seen Andrea from Fruity Knitting do this. I have also spit-spliced. No, I used the same size needle for knitting flat and for knitting in the round. I used circular needles for both the flat and in-the-round knitting. Hope that helps.
Really loving watching you both! There’s a LOT of knitting knowledge being chatted about, and I love the patterns you both choose! Love that knitting journal…one a pen and paper gal too, as far as journals go. For patterns I don’t print. I just download right to iBooks. That way they’re always with me; I can write changes, highlight a row, mark off where I am, etc.
I had already ordered my Knitter’s planner and Quilter’s planner when I found your podcasts. I love them and this year I ordered the binder type and will cut out, put holes in the edges, and add this year’s project sheets to the new one. I also combined the two books together. I do love your podcasts.
Yes we love ALL the info! 😃 thank you for sharing yours. I bought my first knitters planner for 2020. When the pandemic hit. I decided to use it as a journal as well. I have all my knits. My recipes for sourdough starter and bread. Because we all made bread right!
Up to 5+ years ago, I always pulled the yarn ball from the middle and then it started ….. the yarn balls would tangle …. So started using the outside end and, voila! No tangles! Other knitters I talk to have had this same issue. Glad, Kim, that you haven’t had to deal with this, but it is an issue for a lot of us!
Yes! I think it has to do with a couple things. Twist of the yarn, how many times it's wound (some wind cakes TWICE...I do not have time for that!), also how one tensions yarn can produce or reduce twist. I think I am a slow enough knitter that my cakes aren't jumping around! 🤣 Maybe if yarn comes in balls to begin with, it's safe to pull from the center?
Something you might want to know if you are doing the Musselburgh hat - I just did my first Musselburgh TWICE. I followed the instructions exactly (I used magic loop for increases and decreases because I hate DPNs.) I got my gage at 8 stitches per inch. So I followed the chart for that gauge and my fingering weight superwash yarn. (I use superwash because I get a rash from wool that isn’t superwash.) I finished the entire hat and was so excited because it was beautiful. But after i blocked it, it was way to big for me! I rechecked my gauge post blocking and discovered that my gauge was actually 6 stitches per inch not 8 stitches per inch post blocking. I ended up frogging the whole thing and starting over with the new gauge as my guide. I was at an LYS right after this happened and the clerk at the store explained that superwash really stretches after blocking. I just finished my Musselburgh for the second time and this time it fits well and looks great. So, I now have learned that if I use a different yarn or needles I will take the time to gauge swatch and block before knitting the whole thing. I shared this story with RuthLovesToKnit after Ruth shared some knitting misadventures she had. She replied that the same thing happened to her with the Musselburgh hat and she frogged it and never tried again.
Oh goodness, thank you! The Row One Yarn is superwash! I wouldn't have remembered that it would grow so much. I'm glad you have a hat you love now! Always hard to frog something but always the best option!
Loved your show as I always do …I loved that you shared about the fisherman’s sweaters …great story …can’t wait to have another show of yours to knit and relax with you in my living room …have a great week !!!💖
I used goodnotes as well for journaling my piece while I’m working it, but still use knitCompanion to setup the stitches and keep track of rows (be it text or chart pieces). Also have started placing some of my notes into Ravelry. Good Notes makes for a great repository/backup for all the patterns I have purchased regardless of if it was from Ravelry or another source. While working the pattern, I also annotate and highlight. It’s a wonderful digital tool!
Kim, I've already knit a Weekender. Was planning on knitting a second- it's a great pattern, but will wait until your Knit Along. Jonna, I'm 2/3'd through my Easy-Vee. It is a beautifully written pattern and so much fun. On the sleeves now. So far, it fits beautifully. Thank you for a great podcast. Greetings from Sydney, Australia (although I was born and bred in New York).
Ohhhhhhhh!!! Love to hear this! I've wanted a Weekender for a long time, so we should definitely Knit Together!! I think an Easy V is in my future! Maybe that will be my Rhinebeck yarn purchase?? The Spin Cycle ladies will be there.
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna I wish I could attend. I need to time my trips home to New York better! I love your podcasts for so many reasons but especially because I feel as if I am sitting and knitting with friends. Have a wonderful time at Rhinebeck!!! BTW, I am not using Spin Cycle in my Easy-Vee and it still looks beautiful.
Hello from Australia. Thanks for the fun 🥰 I’m team Kim for yarn pulling 💪🏻 I am knitting 3 strands and they are very well behaved sitting quietly just feeding me yarn without issue. Jonna, wind your cakes slowly - gives a bigger cake but stops yarn barf - you could also wind them twice (not my thing to do) but they fluff up giving the yarn lots of space so they centre pull easily. Thanks for sharing 🥰
I have heard that you should wind your yarn twice in any case! Makes complete sense, as far as twist is concerned. (Per Norman from Nimble Needles). Thank you for the reminder!
Kim, the sweater you’re wearing coordinated with your Primrose blanket! Both garments (sweater and blanket) are so beautiful. Jonna, I’m a huge fan of Amor Towles’ books and have read all of them. Love your podcast and your kindness to everyone.
Thank you 🌼 I ended up buying the audiobook and listening instead! I have SO much knitting to do that I barely have any time for reading. October is such a busy month. J
Hello from western Massachusetts! Love listening to you because your rapport is so genuine.😊 I have been catching up on episodes while I knit. As to how to attach a new ball of yarn - I took a class in the, ahem, 80’s, and the teacher’s take was to always start on an edge. That way you could carry it up the side, and have much less weaving in. On circular knits, it would have to be at the underarm to be less noticeable, especially if you are putting in a false “seam” for structure. Also, don’t worry about being “professional”, genuine will win every time.😊
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna Hello! I will be going tomorrow. Hoping it is less crowded. 🙂 Hope you had a blast! If you are ever back this way, let me know, and we can visit some shops. I live in South Hadley (home of Mount Holyoke College!), and I used to work at Webs. Northampton Wools is right down the street, So.Much.Yarn.🥳
Jonna, I use GoodNotes too, I find it so useful for keeping track of where I am in my projects, also I can zoom in when I am knitting in the evenings and my eyes are a little tired. I love the lasso tool for cutting out repeated instructions from one page and pasting them onto another. Do use an Apple Pencil to mark on your patterns? Very satisfying to mark off rows !! I’m loving everything you and Kim are doing; you’re both so “real” the way you go off tangent, especially when discussing how you’ve worked on a project, worked stuff out and adapted patterns. It gives me courage in my own knitting! ❤
I do have an Apple Pencil!!! It's amazing. Thanks for sharing the lasso tip. What I have done is to have two versions of the pattern open so I can toggle back and forth between a chart, for example, and the written instructions. It's so much more user-friendly than Knit Companion. One thing I do is create a long rectangle and use it on my charts to keep track of which row I am on. I love inserting extra pages into the PDFs to draw, write notes, etc. And, for $7 you can't beat it!!
Jonna, your Dingly Dell is so pretty, the color is lovely. Thank you for bringing up how to look at specific problems on the projects pages on Ravelry, I will be doing that. I've been knitting awhile but it's always nice to get tips and techniques from other knitters, that's what the community is all about. Sounds like you had such a fun time with you Grandchildren. I also have a bed warmer and I love it. I'm reading "The Lincoln Highway" at your recommendation and really enjoying it. I did read "A Gentleman in Moscow" and enjoyed it too. Take care
Thank you, Dee. Yay, for bed warmers!! I really miss mine when we travel. I'm glad you're enjoying the Lincoln Highway. I will definitely stick with the G in M book! As I was starting the ribbing on my Emsworth, I perused the projects again because I couldn't figure out where to end the chart. Other people had the same issue, so at least I knew I wasn't missing something!
I have been on vacation and just catching up on my podcasts. I have no idea if this has been offered, but wanted to mention it. There is a wonderful children’s book called “The Real Tooth Fairy”. I think it is a great book to share, especially for those children who fear as do your grands. Also, it gives a great “explanation “ for the Tooth Fairy visit. Back to the show….love you, ladies!
Kim, your PSSO’s finish is gorgeous! (Here’s me doing the chef’s kiss 😚 gesture) It is so lovely learning about how each of you navigate through the challenges and decision making inherent in our crafting pursuits!
Hi Linda! I'm very proud of my PSSO! It was a joy to knit and even more of a joy to "finish" which is surprising because finishing is not usually one of my favorite things. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! :) Kim
42:49 Ofcourse we like listening to this! 😊 this is how we get tips and tricks from you and all other knitting podcasts. Plus I, for instance, don't have any knitting friends in my life to share my passion with so you are my friends who don't know me yet 😆
The bed warmer sounds nice. When I lived in a poorly-insulated grad student rental we kept the house quite cold. Before bed I would use my blow dryer to warm up the bed under my duvet. Very effective!
Kim, I just ordered my knitter’s planner! I, too, am a paper and pen gal and loved that this was customizable. Yay! Can’t wait!😊 Jonna, I can’t remember if you’ve mentioned sewing any Indy pattens. I just purchased the ‘Gallery tunic’ by Liesl and Co. from my LFS ?( local fabric store) and am loving it. The instructions are so thorough and give hints along the way to help your pieces look more polished, something I always need😉. Thanks, ladies. Love your show!
I love the Amina sweater so much! Actually both of you knit beautiful sweaters, blankets, scarves, etc. Jonna- a no longer knitting podcaster recommended A Gentleman in Moscow as one of her most favorite books. It was a few years ago now and I had never heard of the author or the book, but I decided to trust her review. And I had a hard time getting into the book. But a persisted by listening to it on audio while doing the dishes and soon after, I was so interested in Count Rostov that I started reading the book again. It’s one of my all time favorite books! I thought the ending was one of the best and most satisfying conclusions to a story. Happy knitting.
Kim and Jonna thanks for your episode keeping me company as I hurriedly attempt to get my housework done for company! Hubby, SIL and son and daughter are helping too. And you so entertaining to listen to as I work. Just wished I was knitting and enjoying myself but hey already my house will be clean. Thank you! StitchedbyMimi
I loved Gentleman in Moscow & The Lincoln Highway! Please do a small episode on how you use GoodNotes, as I am having a hard time figuring it out for patterns. Thanks for your podcasts, they are very helpful.
Jonna, thanks so much for the “Good Notes” recommendation. I just downloaded it and love it already. No more printed patterns for me! I really enjoy watching you guys!
Yay!! Best $7 ever. You can look for tutorials on YT if you want some cool tips. I like making a rectangle that hovers over my chart that indicates which row I am on. You can also insert a blank page inside the pattern for drawings or notes. You can even "lasso" a section of a page that you need handy and put it somewhere else. Glad you like it!
Jonna, I had trouble getting into A Gentleman in Moscow as well. I couldn’t figure out where the story was going and then I realized that it wasn’t going anywhere. It was just a story. And a well written one in my opinion. After that, I was able to relax and enjoy the read.
I accidentally ordered the audio book of A Gentleman in Moscow from my library. I absolutely LOVED it! I thought, as I listened, that I might not have been able to hang in there if reading. I believe it was the names and terms and not really sure but I did think that. It is a GREAT book to listen to. I have only listened to two books on tape so it is not something I usually do but I cannot recommend it enough.
I have heard this from several people! I think I might just do it because I have SO much knitting and sewing to do that I am not able to get any reading done. Thank you!
Great episode ladies! Jonna, A Gentleman in Moscow starts really slowly. I found myself wondering when something would happen. But it really kicks off with a great plot and plenty going on. So worth persisting! 💕💕💕
Your podcast is great - appreciate how much time & attention you pay to details and quality! I was all set to order a Knitters Planner - their ordering site was very fussy, finally made it to my cart to then see how high their shipping is 😩. Having to reconsider.
Thank you for your sweet comment. Postage is so expensive these days! We totally understand. I almost fainted when I had to send prizes overseas! I don't know if you're a digital person, but the GoodNotes app is just $7 one time. I really enjoy using it on my iPad.
Hi Karen! No, they didn't pick it, but I decided to knit all of my stash sweaters in the order of popularity/votes, so I will definitely be knitting Light soon. :) Kim P.S. Is your Light on Ravelry??? I would love to see it.
Jonna, here's an item I sew: It can be used hot or cold and would replace a water bottle.😊 Use 2 pieces of cotton fabric, approx.8x18 inches each. Put them right sides together. Sew around the edges, leaving one 8 inch end open. Turn them right side out. Sew 2 seams the length of the piece, spacing them so you have 3 equal strips. Fill each "tube" you have created about 2/3 full using long grain rice as the filler. Fold over the 8 inch end and sew across it. Spread the rice evenly along each tube. Sew across the center of the piece. This can be heated in the microwave about 2 minutes and placed across your shoulders for warmth, or put in the freezer and used if you need a cold pack. It is especially soothing if you have sore shoulders. I know it isn't knitting, but it will let you knit longer!
I bought something like this on Etsy and love it! Mine has fleece on one side and smells lovely. I was in Texas at the time of the hot water bottle incident...I think we had to Amazon one. Now, I have my granddaughter's little Janome there, so I can sew if I need to!
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna Thanks, Jonna. I like the idea of a scented item. With my allergies, I think it might be an issue. I will try it, though. Thanks for your podcast. I really love knitting with you!
Checking projects on a pattern jn Ravelry is such a great resource to learn from others - what worked and what didn’t and other knitters’ recommendations. Use the ‘Find on Page’ option on my IPad to save time. Thanks for another great episode! Your connection is so natural, authentic and fun!
so funny...after jonna described modifying the "graduation gown" frock I wondered what she would have done with the sleeve fabric...of course! a project bag :) and Kim, I also prefer the well-behaved centre -pull balls from which to work ...(and yay for paper strategisement 'n design )...thanks to the team for the company, and happy stitching 🎨🧩
Hi Kim i was just watching your PSS HI KIM IM JUST CURIOUS IF IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO MAKE THE PSSO IN A SIMPLE SCARF? THE STITCH SEEMS SO PRETTY. IM NOT COMFORTABLE KNITTING A SWEATER BUT THOUGHT THE STITCH WOULD BE PRETTY IN A SCARF. LOVE YOUR SHOW, THANK YOU FOR BEING SO WARM & CASUAL. I LOVE WATCHING BOTH OF YOU & YOUR INTERACTION WITH EACH-OTHER. THANK YOU ITS SO FUN & EDUCATIONAL.
Hi Diane, It would be so easy and beautiful to do the PSSO stitch pattern as a scarf. You would just need to choose a border that would stay flat (i.e. garter stitch). :) Kim
I enjoy your podcast so much. I like the personal decision y’all talk about concerning your knitting. I can relate to some of your success and not so successful experiences. I also learn from your inform discussion . Don’t change any format of your podcast.
Love your energy together and your wonderful podcast, you are both a pleasure to watch and knit with ❤ Thank you for the prize 🎉 waiting for a response from Paola, excited to knit with MYak yarn 🥰
G’day from Australia. Thanks for another lovely podcast. I have been watching from the beginning and you ladies really make my day. Jonna I recently made the Hope dress from Style Arc patterns. It turned out beautifully, a very easy sew and I thought it may be a pattern you might like to consider. Cheers
Jonna, I am knitting Emsworth as well and I have to say it is the most fun knit I have ever made. It really would have made a great mystery knit along because o the construction. I wouldn't say it is a quick knit but interesting and beautiful
I absolutely loved making my Emsworth! I am just about to CO and might even wear it tomorrow. If you're on Ravelry or IG, please send me your progress! Would love to see it.
I also use GoodNotes for my knitting patterns and notes. Jonna may appreciate this, I actually started using it during the pandemic for online math tutoring and to make UA-cam videos for my students with the built-in screen recording feature on my iPad. It works great for both knitting and math. 😊
Thank you so much for mentioning this! Several viewers have asked for a tutorial. I'll just screen record on my iPad. I'm sure it won't be long before my grandson starts asking for homework help 😉
I just love watching you both. Your makes are so amazing. I am knitting the Fjolla by Isabell Kraemer, using Willow & Lark Ramble. I love it so much so far but a little concerned that i made it too small. I thought that if i had more stitches per 4”, it would make it bigger but i was wrong. It’s the other way around. 🤪
Your conversation is not boring because we speak the same language. Because we understand what you are saying and can apply this to other projects it is great listening and conversation. Don't apologize that is WHT we have a search button. That means folks can find another channel if they don't like it.
Hi ladies I don't normally comment twice in one episode but I ha to say Kim NO NO NO I don't find you boring I love to hear chat about knitting that's why I tune in. X
Do you think that the name Black gold of the Sun refers to oil? As I look at that yarn with all the rainbow and iridescent colors it reminds me of the sun shining on oil. So amazing of a color!
I told someone just today that it looks like an oil slick! I believe it was named after the song, "I am the black gold of the sun". John Arbon spun his favorite songs up into yarn!
Welp, I called Pick Up Every Stitch and ordered the Emilia & Philomene yarn you showed. I had just said (to myself and the universe 😬), "That would make a great Oslo hat," then you said it, Jonna! I decided it was meant to be. Just finished my first Oslo, and knew there would be more. Talked to a lovely person at PUES. Unfortunately, I can't remember her name. The confirmation email says Karen, so it may have been her. She was very helpful making sure I got the "same yarn and colorway Jonna showed" 😜. Working on Stephen West's mkal now, but it will definitely get done soon after.
SO fun!!! Yes, Karen is one of the owners. I think you will LOVE the yarn. It's really something special. It's actually Canadian yarn and not French! Can't wait to have my own Oslo.
I love talking about Knitting! Thank you for the details. It is super helpful. Quick question: have either of you ever knitted the Champagne Cardigan? I truly want to make it but I struggle with the German Short Rows. I watched videos and got some advice but I can’t seem to grasp whether to knit or turn at some points. For now I am knitting multiple Ranunclus sweaters for my students while watching your episode about the sweater.
I have knit the April Cardigan but not the Champagne Cardigan. The Ranunculus also has German short rows. Maybe it's the instructions that are unclear? I own the pattern and could take a look at it for you if you email us. Let me know which part of the pattern to look at. ktogwkimandjonna@gmail.com
Dedicated outside of the ball puller! I hate spending an hour or a day untangling. I’m definitely in the swatch for fabric, then adjust the pattern to your gauge “camp”. Nice explanation, although I think the explanation sounds more complicated than it actually is to do. As always, I hope you enjoy your knitting
I’m the winner of the yellow and blue Japanese rice bag (pickyicing7 on ravelry)! That is so neat that you made part of it from the sleeve of your dress. It makes it all the more special! I am so so grateful. It will be my first project bag too. I’ve just been throwing my wips in random bags since I started 😂. And btw, in case my ravelry name seems weird and you’re curious, my husband calls me picky icing because whenever I’m doing something like icing cinnamon buns I always try to make them perfectly spread haha. Very random but the nickname has stuck for years.
Awe, that's adorable! As a fellow baker, I can sympathize with wanting perfection!! I've made SO many batches of French macaron...just to get the perfect "feet". Yes, the sleeves were almost perfect rectangles. I am glad I could repurpose them. I'll get it in the mail on Monday! Sorry, that it's taken me so long!
Hi Jackie! Thank you so much. My Freya is one of my most favorite knits ever. :) We're so happy that our videos feel like knitting with friends, because we feel the same way. And we can't wait to meet you at W&F! 3:00 at the mYak booth! But feel free to come up and say "Hi!" if you see us earlier in the day. ~Kim
It's so fun when you get off track. If feels like I am sitting right there with you, and we are just chatting. Kim, I've made extensive notes about your PSSO in my notebook so that I can recall where to go back to when I start my PSSO. Jonna, I've spend the better part of eight hours analyzing which colors of Spin Cycle I would like to purchase for an Easy V. Because I don't have a shop that sells it nearby, I will have to schedule an online shopping appointment with someone. Have you chosen yarn for one, or are you still considering it? great podcast ladies!
Hi Julie! What yarn have you chosen for your PSSO? Glad the episode was helpful. I love to watch "sweater specific" episodes on YT....so helpful. I hope we can start making some minisodes that are sweater-centric. I haven't chosen yarn yet. I think Brooklyn General carries Spin Cycle but it's definitely a drive from Westchester. So, I'd have to buy it online, too. I've heard you can request skeins from SC that have less or more contrast. Keep us posted!
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna For the PSSO, I have Isager Trio-one strand in Indigo and one strand in Navy. I also have a small bit of Sky that I will use for a contrast color at the neckline. Felicia and Karen at Pick Up Every Stitch were so kind to help me over email/phone and get this yarn to me. As for Spin Cycle and the Easy V, I'm leaning toward Absolute Zero, Stay Ready, and Nostalgia. I do love Rosy Maple and Water Witch too though. It will likely just depend on what they have in stock when I schedule my virtual shopping appointment. Oh, and if you like feel good books, I highly suggest you take a look at Love and Saffron and Remarkably Bright Creatures. Niether are without struggle, but they are heartwarming.
Ohhhhh, I really should check labels before I speak. Thank you. I was a PUES yesterday and sold some to a customer. It's lovely stuff. Speaking of Canadian yarn, PUES just started carrying Les Garçons and OH MY!! 💙 I'm in love.
I, a self taught knitter before UTube, started by wrapping purl stitches clockwise. It worked for simple projects until I read in a book by Elizabeth Zimmerman that it wouldn’t work for some patterns and it’s better to learn the correct way to purl! So what is the link you mentioned to use it for nicer ribbing? Thanks. You two are always an inspiration!
Yes, I am glad I now purl the Continental way. I think I would get really confused. I have been using combination knitting for my ribbing. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/FCyfb1ZTH_Y/v-deo.html
Hi from Australia again! Just wondering what your go-to bind off method is? I have tried various methods and they are either too tight or too wavy or just not neat enough. Love your podcast, always learn something new from each one. Thanks again. 😊
Hi and thank you! Kim always uses the same BO by Melanie Berg. My favorite is the tubular BO but I realize that is a commitment. It's stretchy but never ever wavy. I also like Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy BO but go WAY down in needle size per Cocoknits' instructions. I do use a conventional BO sometimes and go up at least two needle sizes. I hope this helps a little!

Yes! I think it has to do with a couple things. Twist of the yarn, how many times it's wound (some wind cakes TWICE...I do not have time for that!), also how one tensions yarn can produce or reduce twist. I think I am a slow enough knitter that my cakes aren't jumping around! 🤣
Maybe if yarn comes in balls to begin with, it's safe to pull from the center?
Hi Deb! Thank you so much for watching and commenting. We love having knitting friends all over the country/world. :) Kim
How perfect you discussed starting a new ball. Just where I was in my knitting & was wondering best way. Thanks ladies lovely projects 😊🧶🇬🇧
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you 🌼
I ended up buying the audiobook and listening instead!
Also, don’t worry about being “professional”, genuine will win every time.😊
Thank you for such a sweet comment, Jennifer. Will you be attending the Fiber Festival of NE? We'll be there on the 5th! Maybe, we will see you!
YEEEEES to pulling from center! Never a problem for me
Great episode as usual! I also pull from the middle like Kim!
Oh, and I always just wind my yarn into a round ball!!
I like the banter. I sit and knit and listen. And I always learn something. I love your podcasts. Thanks!
Perfect!
We're so happy to be your knitting friends. 🥰 K&J
The bed warmer sounds nice. When I lived in a poorly-insulated grad student rental we kept the house quite cold. Before bed I would use my blow dryer to warm up the bed under my duvet. Very effective!
That is too funny and something I wouldn't have thought of! I have used a hair dryer to warm myself and my clothes up 😂
Kim, I just ordered my knitter’s planner!
That IS a cute pattern! Thanks for sharing.
Love Laughing with you Ladies !
I was so happy to knit along with you .
Thank you!
Just what I needed to hear! I will definitely persist. I found the ending of The Lincoln Highway a little disconcerting!
Thank you!

You are so welcome! I do the same thing when I am cleaning!
My easy v is drying now. It was a fun knit. LOVE the spincycle.
Can't wait to see it!
Yes love to listen to everything.
I’m here for the details!!!!! 😂
You guys are a great work companion. I love listening to your projects!
I loved Gentleman in Moscow & The Lincoln Highway! Please do a small episode on how you use GoodNotes, as I am having a hard time figuring it out for patterns. Thanks for your podcasts, they are very helpful.
Hi Sue, I think I might try to do a screen recording and publish it soon! I've learned some new tricks here in the comments.
I really liked todays show. You bring great joy and good information about projects. Thank you.
Our pleasure! Thank you, Karen!
Congrats 🎉 winners
It’s always interesting to hear how another knitter solves pattern problems! It helps relieve the stress of how do I fix this.
Haha, I've had that same thought! I am definitely going to stick with it.
Great podcast. It's always good to hear all the little details, you can learn a lot from everyone's experience. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love all the pattern suggestions. I need to get busy
Love everything. You both did beautiful v-necks.
Enjoying you ladies!
I just bought the audio book and I am sticking with it!!
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna I never liked A Gentleman in Moscow, Rated it a 1star on my goodreads.
I hate rowing out when purling, so the easy vee is super intriguing for me! Love all the things ladies and can’t wait to see the Amina finished!
Hi, I zone out when you two get too technical but I love your seeing chats.
Keep up the good work.
We totally get it! Thanks for watching.
Tooth fairy in Norway: we put the tooth in a glass of water in the kitchen window. Next morning the tooth is gone and replaced with a coin.
Much less scary!! Thank you for sharing...loving all these traditions!
I knit the “ Light” sweater and hoped that would be the one your audience would pick. They didn’t. I love it. It is boxy was a fun knit
Hi Karen! No, they didn't pick it, but I decided to knit all of my stash sweaters in the order of popularity/votes, so I will definitely be knitting Light soon. :) Kim
I love watching you both. Thank you for this.
Our pleasure!
Checking projects on a pattern jn Ravelry is such a great resource to learn from others - what worked and what didn’t and other knitters’ recommendations. Use the ‘Find on Page’ option on my IPad to save time. Thanks for another great episode! Your connection is so natural, authentic and fun!
I totally agree!
Oh your new sweater with the flowers is awesome! I just watched the episode where you bought the yarn in France!
so funny...after jonna described modifying the "graduation gown" frock I wondered what she would have done with the sleeve fabric...of course! a project bag :) and Kim, I also prefer the well-behaved centre -pull balls from which to work ...(and yay for paper strategisement 'n design )...thanks to the team for the company, and happy stitching 🎨🧩

Great podcast, I almost finished a sleeve while watching. You both are very encouraging.
Wow! You must be a fast knitter!
I love your podcast! Why when I see your things do I want to knit it all? Lol
Oh, goodness, SAME!!
Hi Kim i was just watching your
PSS
HI KIM IM JUST CURIOUS IF IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO MAKE THE PSSO IN A SIMPLE SCARF? THE STITCH SEEMS SO PRETTY. IM NOT COMFORTABLE KNITTING A SWEATER BUT THOUGHT THE STITCH WOULD BE PRETTY IN A SCARF. LOVE YOUR SHOW, THANK YOU FOR BEING SO WARM & CASUAL. I LOVE WATCHING BOTH OF YOU & YOUR INTERACTION WITH EACH-OTHER. THANK YOU ITS SO FUN & EDUCATIONAL.
Hi Diane,
It would be so easy and beautiful to do the PSSO stitch pattern as a scarf. You would just need to choose a border that would stay flat (i.e. garter stitch). :) Kim
I enjoy your podcast so much. I like the personal decision y’all talk about concerning your knitting. I can relate to some of your success and not so successful experiences. I also learn from your inform discussion . Don’t change any format of your podcast.
thank you!
Love watch you ladies sooo much.
Thank you!!
Love your energy together and your wonderful podcast, you are both a pleasure to watch and knit with ❤ Thank you for the prize 🎉 waiting for a response from Paola, excited to knit with MYak yarn 🥰
Thank you. I know Paola has been traveling a lot. If you don't hear back from her, please let us know!
G’day from Australia. Thanks for another lovely podcast. I have been watching from the beginning and you ladies really make my day. Jonna I recently made the Hope dress from Style Arc patterns. It turned out beautifully, a very easy sew and I thought it may be a pattern you might like to consider. Cheers
Thank you for sharing this new-to-me pattern company. I like the Montana, too. I just need more time!
I made the Montana too. They are lovely patterns. I hear ya about the time, just not enough hours……..
I just started the Easy V and love it! Using Patagonia yarns; turning out so pretty.
Really?! Can't wait to see it! The neckline is so flattering.
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna it’s in my Ravelry projects
I just love watching you both. Your makes are so amazing. I am knitting the Fjolla by Isabell Kraemer, using Willow & Lark Ramble. I love it so much so far but a little concerned that i made it too small. I thought that if i had more stitches per 4”, it would make it bigger but i was wrong. It’s the other way around. 🤪
Yep, that's right. Is it too late to start over? Kim always says, "It will fit someone!"
Love you ladies, a really entertaining and informative episode - thank you
I love the term "Jonna crazy"! It's the perfect way to describe something that's gorgeous and unexpected. Gonna start using that term.....
Awe!! Yeah, we definitely have different levels of "crazy"!
Thank you for the link to order the Knitters Planner! Ordered mine!

You ladies are awesome😘
Great podcast. Thank. 😊
Hi Joanna, dedicated GoodNotes user here, Hi Kim , dedicated centre pull ball user too, so a bit of both mixed together.
Too funny!
Hey ladies, love the podcast, and I enjoy the sewing too. 😊
Your conversation is not boring because we speak the same language. Because we understand what you are saying and can apply this to other projects it is great listening and conversation. Don't apologize that is WHT we have a search button. That means folks can find another channel if they don't like it.
Haha! Yep!
I’m definitely with Jonna on pulling from the outside. Otherwise it’s yarn barf and then they collapse when your get close to the end!
I have lost my knitting mojo...but watching you guys makes me want to pick up knitting again
Give your hands a break. You will be back😂
Jonna I use GoodNotes too for my projects. Love it. You’ll have talked about sometime.

🥰
I also use GoodNotes. I love the features. :)
I keep learning new things about the app from all of you!
Me vows adore! Just adore the two of you, great podcast. 😊
Wow, thank you!
Finished my second Sophie Scarf while watching this podcast - how fun that Jonna was knitting one also!
I agree! Go for the fabric you like and adjust the pattern.
Love your podcast.
Yay, thank you!
Jonna, I’ve been struggling to get into A Gentleman in Moscow, too! Maybe I’ll try again later! Thanks for another great episode!
Yeah, I don't think we are alone in this!
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna Please take your time getting it in the mail, there’s no rush at all!

Thanks for another fun episode.
Beautiful knits. FYI Emilia and Philomene yarn is from Quebec Canada. 👏🙏🏼💕🇨🇦
Here's the link:

@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna Hi Jonna - Thank you so much for taking the time to reply with all the options. I just unpicked a second bind off that I wasn't happy with so I will definitely give these options a go. Once again I have learned something new! Looking forward to your next podcast! Cheers.
Love your new hair color!
Thank you!!
Well Kim I’m also yarncenterpuller and I don’t understand those that don’t appreciate that super effect by still skeins. 😂😂
