Bruce Willis and Frank Grillo star in the new epic sci-fi adventure set in the year 2524, four hundred years after humans started colonizing the outer planets. Retired Military General James Ford (Willis) is called back into service after soldiers on a remote planet are attacked by a hostile alien fleet. The threat against the human race escalates into an inevitable interstellar war. I don’t know how this movie looks expensive and cheap at the same time… It’s a paradox
Probably because of the pandemic. No motivation anymore to make it look like a really good production. There won't be enough traffic anyway at the theatres these days to recover their investment in the film. Big budget movie making in the short term future is gonna suck. It's going to be a $$ loss for the studio.
Cheap and lazy CGI, Brucie prolly demanded 80% of the budget goes into his paycheque as per usual

The plot was taken from a Story in the outer limits . The episode in the 90’s was called light brigade. That is one of the darkest endings I’ve seen in any science fiction series or film. Hope they do it justice.

I’m not surprised Bruce Willis is in these kind of movies since he is the producer and actor, and no he is not broke, he is one of the wealthiest actors out there, he is just having fun acting in his own movies, they do that when they get old like all other actors, Sylvester, Arnold, van dame, jackie chan etc etc etc, and all theyr movies are half B not great. What surprised me a lot is why the fuck Frank Grillo is in this movie he must get paid a lot to act in this movie

Bruce has very few lines, showing they couldn't afford to pay him much. Not much at all in the way of special EFX, the whole movie is shot in like 4 or 5 locations (the woods, a field, a bar, and 2 warehouses/facilities. The aliens are humans in hooded robes with a mask. Dialogue is the most damaging part of this B rate movie.

Wish I'd taken your advice. I managed 30 mins before turning it off. Every aspect of the movie was terrible. I does at least make every single movie ever shown on the SYFY channel look liker a masterpiece in movie making.

Ha. 500 years from now and they still drive pickup trucks and SUVs that sound like they have regular internal combustion engines, on tarmac roads. The jukeboxes and music are pretty retro too. Zombie aliens are pretty boring, human soldiers appear to be really stupid and have similar guns to those we have today, and Bruce's character seems to be the only person with any smarts (only I'd have taken two Q-Bombs, just to be safe). However, if you have read the reviews that tell you how unrelentingly bad this movie is, you may be pleasantly surprised. Just pretend it was made at least 30 years ago.
Just tried to watch. Horrible. Watched 30mins. Bruce just getting paychecks now as his last several(many) movies have been bad.

Clearly, they got Bruce Willis because he is so famous. The funny thing is, I have zero interest in this movie precisely because it has him. If it was a lesser actor who, you know, can actually act, I might have been interested.

This movie was horrible. I feel bad for Mr. Willis and his family. He is obviously suffering from mental decline and didn't understand what was going on around him. They have literally used the face of an old man in the throws of dementia to sell a movie. Not the way to end a legendary career.

I tried to like this movie. But I can't. What a waste of talent.
At this stage they should just turn off the machines and let Bruce just peacefully slip away....He's got nothing left. I get the need for a payday so you take almost anything to pay the bills.... but at least try....keep things interesting......act....however bizarre....take risks.....like Cage. He's been in some real b.s movies but he puts some effort in at least, and sometimes he hits gold. Bruce has nothing.

this is an awfull movie. bruce willis wearing an armor from gears of war vs alien forces from assassins creed. the best part of movies is listening to the music on the ending credits.

Only saw it for Bruce Willis and Frank Girillo. Movies was ass. The plot was so rushed. There was so many unexplained things. The costumes were bad, especially if it’s suppose to take place in the far future. There was no character development at all. Time was wasted on useless characters talking until they died anyways. The ‘big’ fight and ending was terrible. No excitement at all. Spoiler here but who cares, Frank didn’t even get enough screen time, he literally shot an alien and then didn’t even appeared till the end of the film where blows himself up.

I love my sci-fi, but this is crap. Random shots of Willis not saying anything. Random shots of other people when he actually says something. Fight scenes where nobody takes cover.
