As someone with actual anger issues I can confirm there is no way simple words will just “change you”
It’ll just make you angrier because of the fact that you’re most likely trying to find a way to calm yourself down, and words will just bother you more

I don't really have anger issues, just mild ones, but if I'm angry and someone's like "calm down, it'll be ok" or "calm down and just talk to me" there's a chance I may end up having a go at them because that just annoys me in general
That sounds less like anger issues and more like sensory issues. My brother absolutely HATES the smell of peanut butter, but he doesn’t have anger issues.
