Daimos destroyed many powerful enemy monsters. But gets almost destroyed by just laser turrets in the final episode. A chance for the villain Richter to turn good and redeemed himself.
Well, considering that Erika was in there and even killed the pilot before hoping that Daimos would kill her then somehow escaping, yeah, it sucked. Also, the last time Fire Blizzard was used was on the floating base and... yeah, Daimos was heavily hammered in that one. He then went for one last desperate manuever and that worked.

this is the enemy that is not fully utilized. as i remember it can create a barrier but not used in the actual fight
確か最後のダイモスの相手は
ゴッドアーモンって名前のだったな。その相手にファイアーブリザード&必殺烈風正拳突きだからさ。やっぱりダイモスは強かった。
That last boss had the fight in the bag. But he had to make the stupid move of swallowing Daimos. Exposing his vulnerable insides.
It should have been a long fight with the final Mecha....but the producers must be in a rush to end the series.
It was gonna be replaced by Battle Fever J on its timeslot at Asahi TV in 1979

「通常攻撃」だけでも「メカ戦士」に充分ダメージ与えられる（それも「フリーザーストーム」「ファイヤーブリザード」初使用の敵相手の時点）
