@@JohnMurphy-t5e thanks for the encouragement John to keep making videos! I mean in general the size of blackfish do seem to get better as the season winds down. Once the porgies and seabass leave you can really see some big fish but the bite is def less aggressive. Individual tog don’t grow very fast tho, something like 1”-2” per year depending on water temps of the region
Awesome job Peter A lot of action but not a keeper still you having fun. I hope you catch a couple big one next time. It is a blessing day to be on the water.
Thanks yeah the blackfish were def on the smaller side this trip, lots of "almost" keepers but finally got that one at the end - think it just takes longer sometimes out there to get the bite going and the bigger fish to come around.
@@Kayak_fishing_maniac thanks 🤙 yes you do! Although the bays are much better in early spring than the sound. The sound doesn’t really get good until May
@@tlsmoke23 wow yes! I’m impressed you remember that trip from a year ago, that’s actually what my plan was in this trip to essentially mimic what I was doing on that party boat
@@pastapaul150 thanks yeah I guess that’s just how it is some days, the bigger fish don’t swim through. I was basically one point west of that area you saw me last year
I ended up going out the day after you to the eastern Sound. Me, my brother-in-law and a buddy of mine limited out on Tog and had 1 keeper Seabass, but it pretty much took all day.
heck yeah! Im guessing you were a tad more east than me on this day...did you get some bigger fish out there too? Im tempted to try over where you were next, the only downside I feel the further east you go the stronger the current in those deeper boulders so getting those keeper seabass actually gets harder in terms of the conditions even though there's prob better sized ones on average over there...
@ seabass were hard to come by. The larger Tog where only on about 20 ft of water but the current was ripping. My brother in laws anchor did hold the both of us.
"There's stuff on the fish finder right now...not talkin' about the crab guts..." Hahahahahaha. Fell out of my chair! Also, what's that watermark in the bottom right corner? That new???
😅 i love that shell just slowly sliding off the screen, haha its a messy sport. yeah the little watermark has been there on my videos a while, I was told to do something like that years ago especially for underwater clips to prevent copyright infringement, idk i hardly notice it so I was like whatever

Thank you for your videos throughout the season. You're the best. How big will Tog grow this time of year each week?

Great video Peter 👍👏👌 I definitely have to try fishing in the spring on LISound😊

I remember you smoked those big SB on the party boat. 22" on the Elias shads if I remember correctly.

@ awesome, let me know how it goes!!
Nice sea bass action. Some days just lack the bigger fish. You in same area I saw you in last year? A lot easier with that spot lock I bet.
