Improving Translation Consistency with Large Language Models

High-quality translations are essential for businesses to communicate effectively across borders and cultures. However, achieving consistency in translations can be challenging, especially when dealing with domain-specific terminology and requirements. While Neural Machine Translation (NMT) models can help achieve consistency, fine-tuning them on domain-specific data can be expensive and time-consuming.
The aim of this Challenge is to help improve the consistency of automatic translations in a real-time manner using Large Language Models (LLMs). By leveraging the in-context learning capabilities of LLMs, accurate and consistent translations can be obtained.
The result will provide businesses with high-quality, consistent translations that accurately reflect their intended message. With real-time translations that are both accurate and consistent, companies can communicate more effectively with their global partners and customers.

what these systems don't do i suppose is recognize text from images/scans which translators work a lot with
so accurate text extraction from source is often required before the actual translation could be performed
unless this software is able to not only extract text but also correct all the errors which are usually associated with OCR, and the more exotic the writing system the more challenging is the extraction task

These aren't multimodal models as they were trained only on text data (specifically for Machine Translation), so they can't be used to extract text from images. What you're probably looking for are models trained for Document Understanding tasks, such as the one we covered last session of School of AI (ua-cam.com/video/gXSFE0TznGM/v-deo.html&ab_channel=PiSchool)
