I was @work just thinking about this game yesterday and Michael Tucker scoring 26 on the heels. Now I get to relive it here with Reese's last second put back to win this game. I was serving my last year in the military @the time when the heels finally won the '93 national championship against Michigan
I don't really watch sports anymore. But man. Something about early/mid 90s college hoops that was so special. Before the flood gates for H.S players and one or two and done college players really opened up. So teams had the same guys like the entire time I was in middle school!
I saw this game and many many many many more! I've been a Unc fans since I can't remember. Their were many games like this and to be honest Carolina won most of them. Can't wait for November 2020, A new era and new team!
Real nice team that year. but the thing is they didn't really have any big stars on that team. But when it came to playing they could beat anyone on a given night. They played awesome team basketball. Those days are behind us. Nobody plays that kind of basketball anymore.
I was a UNC student at the time, and I can't remember another time that we shot on the opposite end in the second half. I don't understand how that happened.
Geez these announcers act like they are at a golf tournament. Not saying they should be yelling/screaming their heads off but damn, no emotion whatsoever!

I was there. It ranks up there with the comeback vs FSU in ‘93.

Dean Smith will always be "the coach".
THANKS for sharing, remember watching this game!
Notice how teams are playing offense in front of their opponent’s benches in the second half. Nowadays, they’re switched.

I was in the house
Man, I'd really love to see the full game. I know it's a pain to upload, but this is a great one.

Can't understand why the one announcer kept calling for a foul in a tie game.
1993 NCAA basketball tournament championship team that year
This was actually the team before that.
Duke won its` 2nd title this year 1992... Tar Heels won it all the next year 1993...This video is from Feb. 1992
The 1993 team that won the national championship would erase a 21-point 2nd half deficit to FSU that season.
