Thanks for making the video. I wish the video was longer, I love watching these boy's axe in action. :D The one that stood out was the Scandinavian Forest axe, it cut like a dream. I could tell you have really good control with it. The small forest axe did well too considering it size. I like how fast you can chop with it. It cuts cleanly too. I'm sure if there were splitting involve, the heaver thicker axes will shine. Anyways, thanks for the comparison. Love those Gransfors!
Thanks for watching :) I'll make more videos when i can. A huge chestnut tree is the next target but i'll have to wait november to cut it. Axes will be used a looooooot doing that;
i might use it to limb but the tree is about 2 feet wide. I'll take the full size to fell it. It needs to be done before spring haha. (i need to compare the tasmanian with the american felling axe and a few double bits i have as well. and a connecticut. And a 6 lb elwell.. and... i'm not gonna have enough tree haha)
Nice!! Still some saving to do! I only have a few now, but amongst those is a very special one. Ever heard of the giant felling axe, or ancient felling axe by Gransfors Bruk? Mine was forged by Lars Enander. It is truly huge and heavy. Thanks for the upload and have a nice day!
Thanks a lot mate. I know they made a ancient line a while back but a felling axe ? I dont think i ever seen it. please , pretty please send me a link or a picture :) i'm curious !
This was great, I really am looking forward to the double bit review, I have never managed to find a double bit axe in my country, but have always fancied getting one!
Thanks :) Well all my double bit i shipped from the us. (even the swedish ones have made it through the US first haha). Sometimes the double bit is not necessary but when limbing and cruising... i love it. More on that later when i can make the video :) (already have a video on the double bit gransfors working axe if you're interested ua-cam.com/video/nCkU0RxF1Xk/v-deo.html )
yep i understand that :) You may wanna try ebay europe , way better than stuff comming from the US (but they have the best stuff... most of my vintage GB from Sweden... come from the us lol)
