Smoking deal and a nice clean bike when it was done. The money upfront when you buy it makes or breaks a rebuild deal. You guys were able find a good clean one that saved a lot without a lot of roached out plastic and other smaller parts that run up a build total. 500 bucks was the right price and lot that sell just don't understand that.
hello sir I would like to ask where to buy an exhaust for my 2006 crf250r? or does a 2013 exhaust fit a 2006 crf? thanks I need help. thankyou please respect my post
Hey jay, I have the same bike. Mine is leaking oil from the top of the crank case by the clutch pivot arm it looks like there is a little weep hole right next to the pivot arm. Is there anything that goes in that hole to keep oil from pushing up out of that hole? Thanks
There’s a 2004 crf250r by my house for sale I was wondering what I needed to rebuild just that kit u showed? It comes with everything to rebuild the whole motor? Or got some other stuff too buy?
hello my friend congratulations for your video, i am brazilian i have a 2008 crf 250r, i have the following problem: When I run at high engine speeds she throws a lot of gear oil out of the gasp, why does this happen since the engine has 2 separate crankshafts, can you help me? Thanks
I have a 2010 crf250r that I bought off Kijiji, I rode the bike for a hour and the crank shaft broke on it and my cylinder is shot its 1200$ Canadian for the parts is it still worth rebuilding?
IT can be tough-- also you will need new valves most likely-- have to weigh out what you can sell it for as is --- etc- - -email if any other questions.
@@dirtbiketv1 also I have no experience with rebuilding bikes so I will probably part out all the good parts and try and get a 250 two stroke because well I don't race or anything I mostly trail ride so I think its probably the best option, thanks for the reply
it really makes my blood boil that he got his bike stolen, why cant people keep theyr grubby little octopus tenticles off other peoples belongings.i hope the scumbag that stole his bike rots in hell cus thats where thieves go when they die.
C'mon! This video didn't show us anything. It's a big thumbnail, that's all. I appreciate it but it'd be interesting to lay out the costs at least. Are these industry insider prices or what? I really have a hard time believing $1500 total...but maybe??? C'mon Jay, you can do better! DISSAPOINTED!!! Its like, "Look at me Jay Clark...the magic man"...snaps his fingers and a miracle happens. At least watching you changing tires we can learn something.
haha-- tough to video everything-- I will try to give you more step by step-- but we did do this for under $1000 on parts retail price-- doing the work ourselves--- So $500 for the bike its a good deal. Otherwise not really worth it--
Wow, nice bike for $1500...lol...my xr650r is up over $7000 easily and still needs a lot more...guess $3800 was too much to pay for it in the first place? Hahaha...not funny! But I have learned a lot. Like what you said on quite a few if your videos "might not be worth it." If done over I'd buy a brand new CRF450L. I do enjoy watching more informational videos but you are right it's hard to video everything...you have a full time job to do too. Thanks Jay.
I love these old builds!!!
I really like this build, the Honda is the only bike out there that still looks great without graphics!
And yamaha
Not the only bike dude get real
Nahhhhh all
Mx bikes look lovely without graphics even on road crosses like kmx tsr rmx kxf ktm whatever dtr all mint without or with graphics

If I lived where I had a yard like that, I'd be scrounging to pay for a bike to rebuild too.
We don’t case about registration if the dnr don’t catch us. Specially on them Honda’s
What a deal for a 250r I want that same bike

What are some problems worth fixing
That’s rad! Maybe I can get lucky and afford a bike myself?
Your already the luckiest guy in the entire world :-)
Your friend scored and I'm glad that he riding again but l was wondering did you guys leave it a 250 or did you go with the bigger bore....!
Left is stock bore to keep it simple and cheap

Best to email me
What year is that bike? What was the year that had valve issues
None really had valve issues for us. Only guys that sucked dirt had issues. Stock valves last a long time with minimal adjustment
but what's it going to cost a regular guy when he has to pay for the labor to get this done? Is it still a good deal?
Regular guy does it himself
Be tough if you can't do it yourself or with help of someone-- shop rate be too high for it to make sense.
Hey why don't you do a rebuild on KDX 220 that my son was kind enough to grenade for me. Complete bike just needs a rebuild.
Do you live in So Cal?
Having your 2 stroke stolen is sad, buying a 4 stroke I can't even find the words to describe my emotions...
This is so very funny -- Ya wish we could have found a $500 two stroke for him-- But we got best thing we could-
Dirt Bike TV hey, at least it’s a Honda!
If it burns fuel its always good.

Drew’s gonna learn really quick how shitty the wrench rabbit kit is lol
I will report back on total hours we get--
How many hrs did you get@@dirtbiketv1
