Lyrics: Hereafter
[Intro]
Now the oceans have drained out
Can I come up for air?
'Cause I've been learning to live without
And I'm fighting with broken bones
[Verse 1]
I wasn't ready for the rapture
We're only passing through
But these words, they mean nothing to me
I know that time will mend this fracture
I've been lost in a maze
And every route I take leads right back to you
[Chorus]
Now the oceans have drained out
Can I come up for air?
'Cause I've been learning to live without
And I'm fighting with broken bones
Now the skies have been blacked out
I've got to find my way
'Cause it's been raining but there's a drought
And I'm fighting with broken bones
[Verse 2]
I've been searching through the wreckage
But it's like standing in the eye of a storm
When will I finally get the message?
Some things are broken beyond repair
This is my cross to bear
My own meaningless catastrophe
I never had the time to prepare
Because I never knew that all my nightmares could come true
[Chorus]
Now the oceans have drained out
Can I come up for air?
'Cause I've been learning to live without
And I'm fighting with broken bones
Now the skies have been blacked out
I've got to find my way
'Cause it's been raining but there's a drought
And I'm fighting with broken bones
[Bridge]
I've spent my fair share
In the deepest depths of despair
'Cause I was too lost down there to care
I wasn't braced for the fallout
I wasn't braced for the fallout
I've been searching through the wreckage
But it's like standing in the eye of a storm
When will I finally get the message?
Some things are broken beyond repair
[Chorus]
Now the oceans have drained out
Can I come up for air?
'Cause I've been learning to live without
And I'm fighting with broken bones
Now the skies have been blacked out
I've got to find my way
'Cause it's been raining but there's a drought
And I'm fighting with broken bones
In the review you said for these guys losing a band member is like losing a brother, the drummer is literally Tom's twin brother.
Wasn't aware.
Yeah tom searle was dan the drummers twin brother
Yup, which is even harder. Dan portrayed Tom in the Doomsday video
@@jbasti227
Yes, I saw that video, that gets to me every time I see the video, when Dan shoots through the universe, love this band!
@@uno3863 Same here. I want to see them in concert so bad, it seems like a transcendental experience
absolutely love this song. It's been on repeat since it dropped. can't wait for the album, good react cheers boys
ok now Architects "a match made in heaven" or " these colours don't run
These colours is a must, has an epic lyric video and of course the realest lyrics.
agree, or broken cross
Don't forget the disgusting breakdown...
Well I've been waiting for this one to be reviewed, the raw emotion Sam captures with his vocals is something else and my god the cinematography is just amazing. Truly epic stuff and a much anticipated album release.. You really look liked you were taken away to a different place watching that and that's exactly how this track makes you feel. Brilliant song, brilliant band and a brilliant review as always 🤟
I was not expecting this at all, really excited about the album now.
An amazing song, blew me away
Y'all should definitely do the new As I Lay Dying song... "My Own Grave"
definetly yes
I said this a while ago, and they said they did it but it got taken down
Agreed
A fucking masterpiece, love your vids ❤
Just stumbled on your channel. That was a beautiful talk you had with you son(?) about grief and loss. I think that's the beauty of music in action.
The channel is way more than just reactions so I take any opportunity I get to drop some wisdom in him
For the fallen dreams - unstoppable
Caliban - ich blute für dich
Greetings from Germany🇩🇪
Love the air guitar straight up:)
Such raw emotion. The music is so beautiful and that video ... Amazing .... Bury Tomorrow - Black Flame and Cemetery
Bury Tomorrow- “Black Flame” and “Lionheart”
Bury Tomorrow is the best metalcore band right now. Yes, better than Architects and Parkway Drive
Rip Tom
am just so happy that this was good opening for these guys in new record
Great reaction and introspection. Sorry to hear about the loss of your father.
I suggest checking out Too Close To Touch - "Eiley" as a reaction video...i'd love to hear your take on it!
Have you checked out the new all that remains yet? It's intense, they're going back to a heavier sound it seems
Specially when he was the drummer's twin brother. A literal brother, a band brother it's some real intense pain. Great watching you guys!
Didn't realise it until today, but Haken (the prog masters) just made a video for their upcoming album. Might want to try this incredible band. The song is named 'The Good Doctor'. 'Cockroach King' is also a masterpiece.
Love your guys reaction videos. Love to see metal heads like me out there. I really love your last two architects videos 🤘🏼. I’m guessing you are father and son? Also u probably get tons of request but I really think you guys should do harbored dreams monument of ashes. It’s so badass , I think you two would enjoy it . Anyways ,keep it up, my girlfriend and I are huge fans. Love the shirts to 🤘🏼
Father and son is correct
2:17 perfect timing :)
Check lyrics before or after listening, as for Architects - they're usually in the description of the vid
Please react to Black Halo by Lord of the Lost. I think once you've checked out the entire album Thornstar, it could be on your list of best albums of the year. It seems like you guys like to check out different stuff and it's different and this song in particular, is utterly amazing.
I was expecting the sound to be changed and was fearing for the album but from this song I can say I was not disappointed. Instrumentally - I was nicely greeted with the subtle techno parts, while the heaviness did not suffer for it.
Lyrically - they are great since Lost Forever // Lost Together and hit a weakspot for many people.
Vocally - Sam gets better with avery album. His cleans are modified a bit (as scarce as they are in the song as I don't think the main cleans are his) and it will take me some time to get used to it as I loved his cleans from before. Best heard on the final 'o' of 'broken bones'.
All the cleans are his, and I totally agree with your comment👌🏻
A weakspot?
Omg I was you when I heard this. Sooooo many feels.
Have you guys reacted to Doomsday? If not you really wanna do that like immediately.
The more time you listen to these guys, More of a fan you will become. I listened to Architects because of all the hype. Didn't like them much when i heard doomsday and here after for the first time but then i tried listening to it again and became a fan..lol
Haha nice Amorphis shirt!
At the bottom it says "Making Amorphis Great Again" lol
Am I the only one thrown off by the headbanging that isn't on time? The older guy almost is on time but the kid is all over the place.
Tell me about....please make it stop
LOL
I was about to say the same thing, it's annoying AF... Just listen the freaking song 😂😂😂
Luiz F Ya seems forced. I dont know. I'll naturally bob my head to music but its on time Kappa
Lmao
Nightwish - Ghost River (Wacken) Great song!
Check out some new Fit for a king !
a sajy the whole Dark Skies album is freaking golden!!
It is amazing!
Kamelot - Memento Mori
Soilwork - Petrichor By Sulphur
Petrichor by Sulfur is such an amazing song. One of Soilwork's best and most underrated
@@dragonblazer96 indeed, it might have become my favourite from them
The rapture never sounded so good 👌👌👌
"i wasn't ready for the rapture" that's what the lyrics are, otherwise cool review
ANY GIVEN DAY - SAVIOR
undershtand
Again:Anything by the finnish band Diablo!
Spicy
I'd find it hard to listen to a song like this on a regular basis.
Not a huge fan of metalcore myself, some exceptions to that, but this song IMO is beautiful, perhaps due to the lyrics and the meaning behind it, comes with a special emotion attached to it that really speaks to me.
@@APREACTS yeah, I was meaning due to the heavy depressing emotional content and feel of the song
This one pulled at my heart strings.
@@APREACTS yeah I understand
These Colours don't run is an excellent lyric video that has some of the realest/deepest lyrics. If either of you haven't heard it I couldn't recommend it enough.
I would like to hear the raw recording of the vocals. It sounds very pitch corrected to me. I might be wrong of course... But the song is great.
I saw them live twice, he really sounds that good.
@@albdruck2575 that doesn't really mean anything. Autotune can be used live. But of course he could be that good.
If you listen closely you can hear the split pitch in a lot of the higher screams, you don't get that with pitch correct, especially with the sung screams.
Oh, and I helped set up their last gig in Bristol on the AOG tour, no pitch correct.
nah he really sounds like that
Check out Avacia pirunhyrrä.

Sorry , But it have to ask as a swede (we are quite non religious,) why is he going to Catholic school? Why cant he make his own choices at proper age? I dont mean to offend anyone, just curious . keep It up :)
Because where we live there isn't a public school, only catholic school.
Oh okey, makes even much more less sense to me but okey :) thanks for replying and i do enjoy your channel alot!
The only difference between Catholic school and public school is that in Catholic school kids have to wear uniform and they have a religion class once a week. Considering he wears his Behemoth hat to school everyday I think he is doing fine.
Haha. Alright, no harm done then :) I really want to suggest a band i dont think you would listen to ever if didnt mention them. A band called "Degreadead" from the ´suburbs of Stockholm, i know some of the members. They were personally recognized by one of the member of In Flames in an extremely small venue, when he was just stopping by to check the bands out. shortly after In Flames invited them to their studio to record their first album. A couple years later they performed in Wacken (Biggest metal festival in Europe) . A good start would be the song "Human Nature" .
Imminence - the sickness
Shylmagoghnar - As All Must Come To Pass
Atavistia - Seas of Stars
SuidAkrA - Dowth 2059 / Dimorphic
Varials - Bite
Fire from the Gods - excuse me!!!
Thy art is Murder- Holy War
That face tho :T
The kid should speak up more
I just can't do these high pitched whiny vocals, and Meshuggah riffs I've heard 09808098124 times in 10987897215 different bands. I wish so bad that Josh Middleton would go back to Sylosis and write us fans a new record.
