Over 5 years ago, Ron's Evo RS met a sad fate at an intersection in Utah. Since then, we've built new channels, brought back old channels, started about 90 new projects... hell, some of us even had kids. Since then, Ron's been slowly bringing his back to fighting shape. Emphasis on slowly.

Honestly old hoonigan content before Ken’s accident was great, but something about this content feels like early donut garage days and I’m enjoying every second of it!!! Keep this up guys 🤘🏼

Ron is speaking my peak language. Every part of this build is exactly what I'm hoping to cram into my Starion build. All the math works out (with minor adjustments). My goal is this exact platform. I'm most excited for this build as far as gymkhana grid builds are concerned on this channel. Also, who doesn't love a "Garage, Garage" comeback?

This is what we wanted, not some high value production but something relatable. I feel like I’m hanging out with you guys when I’m watching your builds.
All of the guys know their stuff for sure. But Ron is the only one who is really calm and focused. It's great to listen to him.
I’ve been around a lot of WRXs and STIs, but there’s something about the Evo that makes me get goosebumps when I’m around them.
Naw, don't ya dare quit on yourself Ron! You are just coming thru to the light! Power is fun, but it comes with a cost (time/money/tears/lotsa tears) but chassis.... chassis always pays off! Looking like ya'll gonna do Gymkhana some good!

I went from Honda to BMW and kinda skipped / missed the Subbie Evo world.
interiors were just a bit to basic. I fell in love with the e46 BMW Business interior as soon as I touched it.
those carbon doors are legit... I'd still toss in 20lb of dynamat..
It was pretty regional for a while, us East Coast kids loved the fact that the same car could run in winter conditions no problem
same. I own a E90 right now, but the E46 (& E36) have my heart forever. If I dont own another 330i 6-spd ZHP in the next 2 years, it'll be because I died. N54's and making 500hp reliably for dirt cheap is cool, but the everything else about E46's is what I miss.
Love everything that you guys are currently doing please keep it up. I especially love how Ron still looks like an excited kid everytime he's asked to explain something on the car. Never lose that joy

Helped move this car from its resting place in SLC to Long beach a few years ago after a full track weekend, what a trip that was. Happy to see this car getting the love it deserve. First Hoonigan "street car" project I've been interested in for a long time!
I really wish I could partake in the events this year. Just got rid of a somewhat viable RWD project car and I'm in between projects ATM, if there is a next at all.. Life is busy, lately. Great to live through the build-up with y'alls cars and maybe I will end up at least spectating if there is an event close enough! 🤘

Those sealed beam replacements look pretty cool. I've got original looking H4 housings on one of my cars that let you use a standard bulb. I was thinking about doing the same for my truck.

I got a Evo X im hoping to have put under the knife this year. My goal is 550whp street machine. It'll be a work in progress though. Its nice to see it back 💯
Really enjoying seeing all the guys? build projects. I do have a request if possible? Would like to see a build with something really odd like the first car I learn to drive in a Peugeot 504/505 turbo (My dad was the sales manager for Western Canada) or maybe a 80's Volvo? bore it out to the max and drop it to the ground.
Did you do anything with the rear chassis legs? Or was it not actually that rusty? My rear legs on my silver 8 are gone from rust!

So the best light housings you can get for old rigs with 6 or 8 inch rounds are Vision X housings. You can install your own lamp so that unlike the factory ones or even what you are selling, when the bulb burns out it can be replaced. They are also DOT approved and heavy glass.

Hey dunno if this will get to the right place but with vins e36. Watch an episode of Jimmy Oakes where Brian from his crew put a diff conversion in his e46 from some model ford. It was the biggest upgrade he could do with standard fitment before putting a winters quick change and is also powered by an ls. From memory his drive train was ready minus a diff upgrade. Hope this is helpful in some way 👍 keep up the good work boys!!

I’ve got a white JDM 9 GT. comes with the RS drivetrain but has nice seats and electric windows, AC, HIDs etc. also has close 1-4 gears but long 5th for highway.
Is hoonigan gonna get any early evo like a 4/5/6 since they are 25 years old now ?
