They say an MX13 when deleted will run Rings around a CAT when deleted. I prefer a bigger CAT C15 or Cummins, however I run an MX13 daily, heavy at 135,000 lbs, and its impressed me so far, in my Peterbilt 389 flat top long nose.
@@carsandmoods3593 I’m a diesel mechanic and have been working on CAT engines and Cummins for quite a while now. I’ve had exposure to the MX13 and having driven all of them I can say that even not deleted the MX13 is quite impressive considering that it’s down at least 2 liters on displacement. I hope to get my hands on a deleted MX 13 so I can experience it firsthand because you have my interest peaked!
@@Dagumbalaya Sure thing, I was very skeptical about the MX13, and like I said I wish they did a 15 liter However when I pull my 135,000 lbs gross load, on the same hills as my Cat C15 6NZ, the MX13 pulls it easier, but maybe that's because its a 510 hp and the 6NZ I had was about 475 hp. the only thing is, I keep her running cool, I baby her. I don't let the temp of the coolant go more than 180 Degrees F, I'm steady on the throttle and let her reach speed nice n easy. So far, the MX13 has done well everyday running like this. She is Bone Stock from the Factory.

I'm kinda surprised, it actually sounds pretty good for what it is. Like a caterpillar and a little bit like an n14 too. Makes it a lot more fun to drive around now.

What size pipes?
It's just 5" diameter pipe all the way out. From the turbo, it goes down and back along the frame rail, then back up to a universal y-pipe which is connected the factory stacks. Approximately 11'6 total height.

@@lempinen86 Well tbh.. it does have an aggresive/raspy kind of sound to it... But it still sounds pretty decent imo. Would definitely sound better with at least 6s
