@@faqTrends headlight have uv coating to make the glass clear & not turn yellow. Due course of time this coating break & turn yellow. That guy just sanded of old uv coating but the light is still the old. U need to apply a clear/uv coat to remain the shine post sanding

Either ask the local paint shop to apply a thin coat of clear coat which brings shine (do this post sanding & restoring the headlight)
Else other option is
Do a clear lamination on headlights. It will keep it protected

This is not the solution for headlight restoration.
1. Sanding
2. Polish
3. UV protection Clear Film.
Never ever use wax for polish or protection, plastic will become brittle and crack. UV protection film is the way to go to make your headlight smooth and shine
