Thank you for watching. I love the castle for early splits and small splits. They pay for themselves in no time. Good luck with them next year.

On the third queen castle, all those bees on the divider? What's going to happen to them? Ahh, you should have shown the shake up.

Thank you for watching. Usually the black dividers will come out but they propolised them but what I did was open the top of the three nucs and used my bee brush to brush them out into the nucs. I made sure they had a place to go and they are so small that it wouldn't be a problem if they mixed. I try to not make the videos so long so I cut out some of the ending stuff of me putting the hivce back together. I hope you like the video and thank you.

Awesome Mr T. 75% is really good, are those 2 frame width feeders? I really enjoyed watching these girls grow into NUCs, I think I’m going to give this castle a try next year. Thanks for sharing!

Yes they are. I like them because if I use 2 to 1 or 1 to 1 I don't have a problem. The good thing about the queen castle is if you make an early split they all keep each other warm. I also find that a 2 frame split does not knock a hive to far back and they make a good start for a nuc.

Thank you for watching and the advice. My kids drink ocean spray so it's what I use but I know your right about the spout.

Thanks for these videos. They’re great! Question: When reallocating the split with no queen to the other hive, wouldn’t there be a concern that they would go after the unfamiliar queen? Is this the kind of situation where a sheet of newspaper between the boxes might be recommended? I guess the same question applies to the bees that were hanging out on the dividers - wouldn’t they potentially go after the unfamiliar queen? Thanks again for the great videos!

Thank you for watching. I would of done the news paper method if they had a queen but they don't so they are more than willing to accept the queen that is laying. The bee's on the dividers i brushed into the top of the nucs. I think that when colonies are that close they don't fight and kill the queens like when people put a colony on top of another colony with an excluder between them and they just go about there business. Probably my next project is the two queen hive with supers on top.
