About to purchase a Ultrabee or KTM Freeride at the end of the month. This vid has me swaying towards the ultra also having three ultras speaks volumes.
Interesting I really want an Ultra Bee but can't afford one yet. I'm pretty sure I've ridden my Light Bee harder than most riders. I race hare scrambles, grand prix, motocross, and Supermoto and I've broken parts left and right on the Light Bee after 6 years. The good thing is there are a lot of parts our there, they are relatively cheap, and easy to replace. The one thing the Light Bee is not good at is really rough terrain, it's like riding a jackhammer. I'm hoping if I get an Ultra Bee it'll be less punishing than the Light Bee. Deciding if I want a Ultra Bee or Arctic Leopard EXE880 for an electric enduro bike.
how much healthier is street riding for this bike? i put on 350 miles and now its the first time i want to adjust the chain slack im not too familiar with any sort of maintainance, but i figured it might be fun to learn greasing the axles sounds pretty frightening to me HAHA! but i want to keep my bike in great condiditon and despite me digging the all black look (i removed all factory stickers) i may overthink it and get a custom sticker set great video, maybe do a maintainance series :)) ?
Hey Brett anyway you can make a video of you doing all that maintenance you just went over in the video. Basically just all the correct spots to grease and what order to loosen and tighten things when your doing it. I haven’t dared pull off my suspension yet to regrease it. Appreciate you guys!
I’m hoping it’s suspension. If EXT made suspension for the ultra bee I would sell my e ride today and build another one. That was my one complaint was the suspension was constantly bottoming out and I didn’t want to rig up dirtbike forks to fit.
I live in Canada, have a 23 LBX and carry an extra battery in my backpack. I can’t justify paying $3200can plus a charger, plus Taxes and Shipping for a higher capacity battery. love the LBX! But it has its limitations, it is what it is… Would upgrade to an Ultra if it had better range. My dealer told me he gets 80kms of hard riding with his demo ultra. I have not seen anyone report 50 miles of range. I’d be happy with that! Recently they were going to let me test their Demo for range but it sold, waiting for their next batch to come in.
These bikes are pretty resilient but be sure to check the swing arm for cracks and bearings on the bike in the shock linkage and headset. Hold the front brake and rock the bike back and forth to check if the headset is loose.. if so the bearings might have been stressed but luckily all these parts are replaceable. Look into the drive train and see how worn that is. Likely at that amount of miles you may need a new jackshaft and belt, but it all depends on how it was maintained
Please send me a link where I can buy the R-tech swing arm guards. I’ve called every CPD dealer other than you guys as well as everyone in the UK that shows them in stock. CPD has 20 in stock to drop ship but none of their dealers seem to be willing to order a set for me. Can you help?
I thought they were good bikes was about to buy one but a few froends who have one all had the same problem around the same time. Motor started spinning backwards. They tried to swap out the hall sensor and ended up needing to replace the new motor. Surron wpuldnt cover it under warranty because they had a primary chain on and surron said no. Still prob gonna buy one but hoping not to have this issue.
That's a bummer, there will always be instances with any bike of issues. Another option to consider is to upgrade to an EBMX motor if you are having to purchase an OEM motor.
@@ChargedCycleWorks that's what they did. I ride with the gritshift guys sometimes. They have a recent video that shows the sprocket on the upgraded motors doesn't quite align right tho. I guess gritshift is working on a sprocket. I think ebmx has their file and will have it available sooner tho. My friend just took his sprocket to a grinder and made it work for now. I'm hoping the new version of motor for the ultra won't have this issue tho I'm about ready to buy one just gotta sell my talaria sting.
Can you do a video on which bolts you check and how? As well as all the other maintenance stuff on where and how to grease them and how often?
That is a great idea!
I agree!
Agreed!
Excellent video! The Ultra bee is one of my all time favorite motorcycles. I can't wait for a good fork, hurry up and spill the beans !
Good stuff guys thanks for the tips on maintaining the UB. I only have 200 miles on mine and I cant get enough of this thing!
Love this thorough long term review of the bike.
Great video! I love my ultra bee. I should check my bolts... And I'm looking forward to seeing the other bikes!
650km in mine 💪 4mounths , toro tc1000, EXT suspension…So happy
Love your content. The other sites show a lot of street ride outs and wheelies. I like seeing bikes that do single track and light motocross!!!’
Great video can't wait to hear about the new suspension
Good assessment. No fat, all lean.
Great video!!😀
Selling my Talaria to buy an Ultra Bee. Fit and finish is great, plus I like the slightly bigger chassis.
I'm selling brand new ultra bee for 6290$

Ultra Bee is way lighter, costs less, and has better range.
Do you have any clue what the Hyper Bee will be like?

For an e ride or sur Ron preferably but I’m sure it’s basically the same on an ultra and transfers over
I’m still debating between an UB and one of the Arctic leopard models. Either the EX or EXT 700.

Great Video, would love to upgrade from my LBX, but what about range? 25-30Miles? It’s just not enough.
Range is very dependent on how hard you ride, are you hoping for maximum range out of your LBX

BTW you guys rock! All your videos, website content, so much information!! Double Thumbs Up!!
@@andymcfarlane2365thank you very much for the compliment! Our typical rides on an ultra bee will land around 25-35 miles, hard to get over that
Is there somewhere I can find more information about the changes to the ultra's motor and when they started producing the newer version?
U bet your ass it’s reliable and very capable!!! Mine has 18/21s x9000.
Thumb regen is a dream!!
Ultra bee or the eride pro? I will mainly ride street, I want long distance and the speed. Ability to put supermoto tires on it
What do u think i should look for i might be getting a second hand ultra bee that has 2,500 miles

Does R Tech Or another company make frame/swingarm guards for the LBX? Just got my bike powder coated and don't want to ruin the coating.
Sadly not, but it would be a good idea to look into a graphics kit even if it’s just a clear wrap for some protection

We are working on getting more in right now and uploading them to the website, hopefully we can get them very soon for you
Lmao bro jst flexed so hard blocking those bikes out. “Yeah i got it. Here’s a blurred image”
5200 km = 3231 Mi, everything's OK so far.
Who cares what looks like that how you can tell a woods rider from a motocrosser .
How tall do i need to be to sit in a ultra bee?
