PUBLISH BEFORE THE FIRST RANGE ROVER OVERFINCH VIDEO
    Hi
    Initially this was the plan...
Then, decided that wouldn't do it, mainly due to cost... was difficult to justify...
Then, came across a quite good deal... and well, I couldn't resist...
So, on this video, I will take you through the service and refurbishment of the rear calipers on my TT MK1, the front brakes, are being upgraded...
A full guide on how to install this big boys on the TT, this brakes/callipers, also fit other VAG platforms, mainly the cars based on the MK4 golf.
(But do your own research, if you want to do this upgrade on anything other that the car in the video.)
    Anyway, all in the video...
Here is the video for the wheels I have ended up getting...
(To be uploaded once the video is published)
    Hope you enjoy the video.
Any questions or comments put them below.
Like always, thank you for watching!

on some rear calipers the piston is screwed all the way in then unscrew half turn to engage handbrake mechanism

Keep an eye on the rear/rear control arm spherical bushes, I believe they were a recall many years ago. They bind up, the arms snap. Guessing your brake pedal modulation increase is down to the extra piston surface area whilst still using the same master. Curious what the green button on the dash is for :D

Yes... more oil to be moved...
To be honest, the pedal settled in a very good position in end...
I was highly considering replacing the master cylinder... but don't think I will do it now... but will might give it a second thought when working on the next upgrade...☺️
The plan is to replace the rear arms with adjustable ones... Will tackle all of that at that time...

Yes... it was indeed, and plenty of swering as well...lol
The brakes where absolutely shot... 💯
But to be honest, other than that has been a nice car for over 2 years now...
I done more bits to it in the mean time, some stuff is on Patreon, some other stuff coming out later... stay tuned... with one of the biggest changes happening right now...
      Again stay tuned!

My brakes took ages to bed in on my porsche after changing the disks and pads. I only have 4 piston calipers.

The reason the small piston is at the wrong end is because Porsche put the calipers on the door side of the wheel as do most sports cars.

17z caliper does not need turning over they are at the same as std audi placement the cayenne has same set up as audi q7 i khow ive used them the problem with them is the unsprung weight unless you are running 400 bhp plus!

Hi I've watched your video about 8 times I've brought 18z calipers and R32 334 mm discs and 30 ml wheel spacers and my wheels are 18 in like your pattern on your TT will setup fit because my mate is saying I need at least 40 to 50 mm wheel spacers but watching your video I should only need 30 mm wheel spacers is there different R32 from Mark 4 golf discs

You need no spacers if you get the right wheels...

You have your discs on the wrong way round. The vanes within the vent should be leaning backwards.

The next ones I will pay more attention...😋
They were marked left and right by the previous owner, and I didn't even look at that, just install them the same way...😅
      Brakes OK though!😉

picked up a car from a garage few weeks ago 140 miles from home they were to bleed the brakes. new disc and pads one new caliper fitted by owner and airplane mechanic they ran out of time (music concert) and couldnt bleed the brakes so collected by garage. driving back from garage brake pedal nearly on the floor, they hadnt screwed the rear caliper piston all the way in and the then unscrewed it half a turn to engage handbrake mechanism so piston was 3 to 4 mm away from pads all the pedal movement was gone into pushing that piston out and when the pedal is released the piston would go back to 3 to 4 mm gap. no amount of pumping and up and down with hand brake will set the piston on this type of caliper. excuse garage gave was new caliper would make pedal feel spongy.
