Just bought a '99 TT for my girlfriend, 225 with 307.000KM's, so about 190.000 miles, for 850 Euro's. Cracking little car, even for it's age and miles I now understand why people buy TT's in the first place. I have an S4 B6 and A4 B7 too, but compared to the TT they're big heavy cruisers. The TT feels very sporty with it's short throw shifter and low-to-the-ground feel. Since the purchase I've watched almost every video of you and I must say they're very entertaining and informative. Thank you very much and keep going 💪

I recently bought a 225 with a factory fitted full Votex kit. As soon as I saw it for sale I was down there and when seen in person it was instantly mine. I did test drive it but was purchased purely by the looks. Love it
@@TheParrottBros not sure on the code as haven't checked but it black with a lot of metalic flake. Sort of gold/bronze looking sparkles in the sunlight but deep black in the shade. Couldn't be happier. On a 52 plate with only 84k miles and massive folder of reciepts. Paid a fortune for it but is worth it and will probably be a good 1 to potentially increase in value being factory fitted not bonded afterwards.
SPAKKA WASP sounds like a good one! Have a look in the owners manual, or in the boot for a sticker 4” square. When you have found that watch my colours video 👌🏻

The obvious solution to all this, is don’t waste money buying a 225 and buy a V6 which has all the body extras in the first place. Spend the money you save on suspension, having had both models in the past, I much preferred the V6 particularly with the DSG.
It’s a tough one isn’t it as if you want to tune it the 225 is the better option for power gains and if you prefer manual the v6 is hard to find and cost a premium. If you want a nice all rounder the v6 with a nice exhaust on ticks all boxes for sure
The TT isn't purchased just on its looks. The v6 is very front heavy over the front axle and will understeer much more easily than the lighter 225 bam engine. Some people prefer turbo others a big vr6 but the 225 is easily a more power engine even with a light stage 1 map with no other mods just couple hundred quid. I think the vr6 is worth it just for the sound but have had 3 1.8t bam 225 TT because I love the way they drive and the feeling of the turbo coming in at 3k flying through the short ratio gears.
I think if you keep an eye out for some they pop up second hand from time to time, I had a quick look the other day and I couldn’t find any new at the time

@@TheParrottBros I’m a Canadian and I bought (in 2013 w 16,000 orig miles) a 2002 Audi TT Quattro from the States online and had it shipped. I thought it was a 180 but now I’m thinking it’s a 225. It’s a Quattro, 6speed, duo exhaust, all leather interior, but the disc brakes aren’t vented and the rims are 17inch. So I went out and took a picture of the engine. Hmmm I can’t add a pic... brb.
I’m looking to buy a mk1 tt 225 q, but I don’t really like the looks of the spoiler and was thinking of taking it of and replacing it with an aftermarket mk2 spoiler. Do you know if it’s possible to do that or not?

I've got a full rieger bodykit on my mk1. Parts are pretty expensive but gives it a fresh look.

What do you think of putting 18inch rims on the TT225. I understand that it will need an aftermarket kit for the camber
Jennifer Boudreau most 225’s come with 18’s from the factory, ably time you need camber is when lowering you made need to adjust it slightly

With an after market spoiler can you remove the tt original spoiler
SwissCheese_exe it’s entirely up to you, it is removable but you will have holes in the tailgate

SwissCheese_exe they can of course but it’s just cost, I would get it quoted prior to pulling the trigger as bodywork can be Expensive
