Fellow 7 5/8 hat size here. I've got several pairs of Holbrook xl's and turbines, and fit awesome. One thing I will say bout the double edge frames that maybe you guys forgot to mention, is they to me are for big BIG HEADS. Was funny watching Nick putting them on with a medium sized head. Reaction was priceless. "Oh Boy" lmao. They are big even for me. Keep up the great work, love watching your videos.

just purchased the turbine in jade green, prizm and polarized. They fit great and they're very comfortable. The best part is the stay on and don't slide down.

The Jawbone and Racing Jacket were perfect for big heads. I want to see Oakley continue this model line.

As an Optician with a very large head the only Oakley that ever fit me was the Eyepatch 2. Since Oakley no longer supports making the lenses for it I have ordered up a Double Edge. It gets here tomorrow and I sure hope it fits. Really wish Oakley would continue to make lenses for frames they discontinue.

I bought Holbrook XL and I'm very satisfied. It was a tough decision between those and Sliver XL.

Wow guys thanks for making a video like this. I measure a hair under 8" and need at least 138mm between the temples. Only a couple of these actually fit me without pressing against my temples, the turbine and the double edge. Maybe more that I have not tried.
Can you guys give the frame width of the mainlink XL? Also do you happen to have the frame width of the tifosi elder?
I currently wear a pair of Kaenon Burny which fit great so I keep replacing the lenses instead of dealing with finding a new pair that fits. I also have their jetty which also fits but I adjusted the temples myself. I would like the mainlink XL if they are wide enough.

Thanks for your video. I ordered a pair of turbines however the arms are too tight, causing pain behind the ear. Is there a way to custom configure the arms? Looking for a pair of sunglasses that have wide arms like the multiple pairs of Ray Bans I own? Any recommendations?

I got two pairs of Eyepatch2 Oakley, one are Special signature pair. All other Oakley sunglasses I had I sold, The Eyepatch2 I will never sell stil wear them. But the signature pair I will put away now they are kept in great shape
, for a rainy day. Because I just ordered Double Edge Black Camo.

Hey guys, the Oakley Pitt Bull is a great fit for me, but it is no longer produced. Which frame would you recommend to replace it, mainly for commute cycling? I think I need a full wrap kind of style for wind protection. Tried cycling in with my Sliver XL/Targetline and it wasn't confortable.

How comparable in size are the turbine and holbrook xl? I have a pair of turbine i wear for construction and they fit me really well but i wanted to get a more casual pair for weekends and was looking at the holbrook xl. I was wondering if they were smaller or bigger...thanks for any input
Hi Luke! The Holbrook XL are a bit larger but if you have a larger head size they should work out just fine.
What are the best for WIDE face/head? I don't necessarily have a big head, its just very round, and wide. Most shades are tight at my temple/ear section.
Holbrook XL and Mainlink XL work great!

How could you leave out the FUEL CELLS?!?! I have a pretty big melon and the Fuel Cells look & fit pretty good. Also have a pair of Flak Jacket XLJ's which are awesome but I like the better side coverage of the Fuel Cells - they keep a lot more light out.

Can the Oakley Prizm Field also be used for Golf? For those of us who play both sports
PRIZM Field can be used for Golf. It will still give you contrast enhancement and make the ball easier to track. However, PRIZM Golf is the most optimal. Great Video! I as well as some of the commenter here have a very large 7 3/4 dome, and find the Double Edge a great fit. I do a ton of mountain biking and am looking for a more sport oriented pair of glasses. Do you think the Sutro's would be too small? (they would work so well with that low light lens)
Hello Kirk! I think the Sutros could definitely work out for you. The shield is HUGE and the unobtanium saddle nosebridge makes them versatile enough for most sports. Furthermore, the PRIZM Low Light lens is awesome! Do you plan on using them for MTB?

And yes, I would be using these for mountain biking and trail running. I recently got a pair of Airbrake MTB goggles wit the low light prizm lens, and they are amazing! (BTW big headed fellas, the Airbrake MTB goggle fits big heads like a glove!)

I am looking for a pair of large Oakleys that have the 24K Prizm Polarized lenses. I wear a hat size of 7 3/4 and I have tried several and the only one that comes close to fitting is the Holbrook XL. The Portal X and Ejector were too small. Do you have any recommendations? I love the 24K Prizm Polarized lenses!
Yeah, that's a tough one! If you don't need prescription lenses, your selection is much narrower when looking for the Prizm 24k Polar lens. The Holbrook XL is the only thing I can find. If you are able to get your hands on a Crossrange XL, you can get replacement lenses from Oakley in 24k Iridium Polar, but they're not Prizm. Otherwise, we can make a custom prescription lens in that color in something like the Double Edge or the Mainlink XL!

I had the double edge, and fitted nice. But, the stem that goes over my ears gets irritated, I didn't like that. So now, I just ordered the Turbine Rotor Prizm, so will let you know how that feels.

Great question! If you are 7 and 3/4 or over then the XL sizes should fit well.
How about a video for smaller heads? I can’t wear the larger glasses like gas cans and crankcase but others like the fives squared and straight jackets fit me good.

The Targetline has been discontinued but PRIZM Trail, Trail Torch, or Dark Golf are all great for MTB.
I have a very large head, and think the Oakley sliver xl fit me well 👌

The Radars are pretty flexible on sizing. they can work with big heads.

I was a boxer so i have calcium buildup on my nose, right on where you measure the bridge. Si its freaking hard to find some that fit me. Why dont you do a video on wide bridge sunglasses. I bet im not the only one with this problem

I use a 7 1/4 hat. Not the biggest. But my face is on the square area. So small lenses are not a go to me, I’m between the double edge and portal x.. I’ll buy either one.

Hello! From the perspective of someone looking at anther person wearing the lenses, they appear somewhat the same in terms of color and mirror intensity. BUT from the perspective of someone wearing glasses and seeing through the lens, the differences are obvious. A polarized lens will use a filter to cut glare from objects and surfaces in your field of view. This is especially important for activites in and around water. Prizm Refers to Oakley's proprietary lens tech that manipulates percieved saturation and separation of colors. I can't recommend this tech highly enough but you really have to experience it for yourself. Hope this helps some!
