Man I treasure them ! I deliver packages and during these times you have no idea how essential my holbrooks are! They are my work pair and have been for 4 years protecting my eyes from this Arizona sun
I wish they would round out the arms of the metal version a bit, just to come back to the classic styling in a way. Doesn't have to loop around as far as the traditional Holbrook does, but I think a slight bend towards the end would go a long way with it's overall profile
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Holbrook design Matt! We always appreciate getting feedback from people who are using the products everyday. Which Holbrooks do you currently own?
HI! Oakley has a few lenses with at blue mirror, but if you're speaking about the Prizm Sapphire Iridium, then yes, that particular lens uses a grey base tint but the contrast achieved provides more of a warm amber tone when grey base is combined with the Sapphire Blue mirror. Hope this helps!
Thanks for watching the video John! We would have to agree with you, the gold mirror finish on the Oakley Crankshafts is pretty sweet! How long have you had them?
What is the best way to change the curve on either the arms or the nose bridge? I've got prescription Holbrooks and they are tight tight tight as mug and actually give me a headache. Your help is appreciated. Thank you
Hello! You can find all of our videos covering the various styles and sizes of the Holbrook family in the link below! 👇🙌😎 ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=sportrx+holbrook
7 5/8 head here. Already rocking a pair of Holbrook XL and love them. Regular Holbrook fit too but xl was way more comfy. Will the Holbrook metal fit my head size or should I wait for a Holbrook metal xl if it was ever to come
Hey, Steve thanks for commenting on the video! The Metal Holbrook does have a similar fit like the original Holbrook. If the original Holbrook wasn't a great fit then we would recommend waiting for the XL version.
Debating between getting these or the Flak Jacket XLJ. I had the Flak Jacket XLJ, (which I loved) but since the lenses had no frame protection towards the bottom of the lens, they scratched way too easy. Which do you think are better?
Is there any way to get the regular Holbrook to stop sliding down your nose? Super annoying. If not, Oakley should make and sell some stick on unobtainium nose pads for people that love the original Holbrook design but can’t wear them because they just slide down constantly.
Hi Zack! We hear you on that! Luckily, Oakley started introducing some similar casual designs with Unobtainium nosepads. Check out the Portal X: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-portal-x-review/
My problem is precisely decide which one to get: Mix, Metal or "Standard". What seems to me is that the Metal is probably not so good in the nose piece in case of sweating. Am i wrong? I also saw the Portal X. I'm super undecided between the 4 models and if i should go with Prizm lenses or Prizm Polarized lenses. The sunglasses are meant to be used on a daily basis, to drive a car, and to ride motorcycle in the city, highway and narrow rural roads with a lot of curves. Thanks
I had the Holbrook orange shade. The layer of colour came off after 4-5 years and hardly used it. Might have got screwed cause of the beach but then again shades are used at the beach. Hope they've changed the layer now.
Hey Clive! Are you describing the removal of the lens color or frame color? Our opticians may be able to assess and provide an answer as to why this may have occurred if you send some images of the frames to info@sportrx.com. It very well could be a result of exposure to saltwater or corrosive particles in air. Gently rinsing the frames/lenses in cool freshwater after a day at the beach is a good habit to get into, and should prolong the life of the glasses. Hope this helps!
Where can I buy the two tone blue ones like the first ones you shown, im looking online i want those what is the name?! And is it sapphire lenses? Also im in Canada, are all Holbrooks RX so if i order a pair on oakley canada can i bring the frame to my optometrist and have my prescription done there i asked them they said yes but have to be RX able
Hi there! The lens is PRIZM Sapphire! Ultimately that depends on your optometrist and your rx range. If they are an Oakley authentic dealer they may be able to help you get what you are looking for.
Hello Ryan! All of the PRIZM Daily Polarized lenses will have an iridium coating. This acts as a mirror and helps to hide your eyes when you are in the sun.
Hello. What is the exact name of these glasses, because unfortunately I can't find them. I'm thinking of the blue ones shown at the beginning. Thank you in advance.
HI! Unfortunately, the colorway you're referencing is discontinued, however you may still be able to find a few of them online from private sellers. It's the Holbrook Matte Black Sapphire Fade / Prizm Sapphire Iridium Polarized🔥
Hello Josh! All of these lenses are made withOakley's proprietary lens material, plutonite, which meets basic Z87 standards but is not stamped. None of the Holbrook meet safety standards since they are lifestyle frames. You can check out the Oakley Det Cord if you need something that is safety rated. I am a fan of Oakley sunglasses but you know when it comes to peel off / bubble issues on lenses, it's just too disappointing. I experienced it already with my gascans and fuel cells, despite of care and washing the lenses every after use. Hope for your feedback. Thanks and cheers from the Philippines!
Hey, Eric sorry for the delayed response! The regular gray/black tint will not have the same coatings as the Black Iridium Polarized lenses. We're sorry to hear about the Gascan and Fuel Cell frames. It sounds like you have experienced a couple of lens defects because they should not bubble or peel off as you described. If you bought the sunglasses from us please shoot us a call and we will explore all the possibilities to get the lenses fixed right away.
We completely understand Eric. Make sure to give one of our opticians a call if you need help deciding which Oakley frame to get. They are very knowledgeable with all of Oakley's products along with their Prizm technology.

Hello Robert! If you are looking for a prescription option, you can get rx prizm golf lenses in the Holrook, Holbrook XL, Holbrook mix, Holbrook R, and Holbrook Metal. This would be a custom lens option and we would need to verify that your rx strength will work with the frame before making the lenses for you. Thanks for reaching out!
hi guys! I like one frame from holbrook rx and i want to buy it for my "normal holbrook" prizm gaming lenses but I'm afraid it won't fit. Is that frame the same? I mean will it fit exactly like normal holbrook frame? thanks!
Are the lenses not made different for the metal frames? For some reason nobody talks about how replacement lenses are not the same. Unless I’m mistaken.
Hello! In some cases a different edging technique is required for metal frames compared to their plastic/nylon counterparts, but this doesn't mean that you can't get replacement lenses for them. Give our opticians a call to find out if your frames qualify! 877.289.2999
I love the colors and style of the one that you used @1:07-2:10.... black/blue frames with blue mirror lenses... what is the exact model number for that demo example? Many thanks my friend.. enjoying all your informative videos ; . )
Hi Kenneth! That was part of the limited edition Sapphire Fade Collection from Oakley. Unfortunately it is no longer in production. www.oakley.com/en-us/product/W0OO9102SFC Thanks for reaching out!
Hello there! We would recommend any of the PRIZM Everyday lenses. They work very well in daily sunglasses. You can check out our full guide here: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-prizm-everyday-lens-technology/
Hi there! Oakley will sometimes phase colors out and bring new ones in. You can see all the current available colors of the Holbrook here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-holbrook.html
Hello! Aside from the obvious style differences, the Portal X has a touch more wrap or curvature compared to the Holbrook, as well as Unobtanium (rubber) along the inside temples and nosepad making it more suitable for sports and activities. The Holbrook is more of an athleisure or lifestyle frame since it has no rubber to help keep it firmly in place when you start to sweat, so you may experience issues with slippage or the frame bouncing around during play. Both are excellent frames. It just depends where and how you plan to use them. Hope this helps!
Hey Charles! If it doesn't have the "made in usa" on the temple it doesn't mean the sunglasses are fake. The best way to figure that out is to take the sunglasses to a sun glass dealership and have them check out the Holbrook frame. More than likely if they have prescription lenses then the frame is real.
Hey Twisted SG! None of the Oakley Holbrooks have interchangeable lenses. However, if you are looking to swap in a different pair of lenses we recommend going to a local optometrist store. They will be able to pop out the old lenses and insert the new lenses without any issues.
Original Holbrook and Mix you can get replacement lenses easily. Holbrook metal you have to send to Oakley for a new lens, no replacements available. No offense Sport Rx but your comment was completely innacurate.
Hi there! The Holbrook can work but you should really check out some of the frames in our best Oakley fishing sunglass roundup: ua-cam.com/video/igYQRsL9TEw/v-deo.html
Hi there! The blue fade collection hasn't been in production for quite some time so they would be hard to find. Luckily, the Holbrook is a popular model and often chosen for exclusive colorways such as the blue fade. Hopefully Oakley will introduce some more unique colors soon!
Hi Brett! We do not offer frame only at SportRx but you can always shop that colorway and order a custom rx lens or go with Oakley authentic rx lenses here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-holbrook.html
Hey my holbrook mix Rossi vr46 matte black lens and frame with fluo yellow icons showed up today. First im super pumped.. 2nd one of the rivets is out of the frame and loose in box :( it kinda looks like a mini screw with threads. Any idea if it screws in or just push locks? Do I need adhesive? Should I just take it to my local oakley store at the mall? Ordered from a 3rd party sporting goods store. Id just hate to install it myself only to lose it later on. Can't find any specific vids on the topic. Please help, thanks!
@@sportrxeyewear hey thanks for the reply! Ya problem handled no sweat in a matter of seconds free of charge. Thats why oakley rocks. Snowboard gear/hiking bags/boots etc. All top notch.
@John Kutil: They have iridium lenses & non iridium lenses... the iridium lenses are the ones with that mirrored finish... but also, if there is any light coming in from the back or top of the frame, it'll also take away from that mirrored look. If you wear a hat, it'll increase the mirrored look.
Hello there! The Holbrook R has a more rounded bottom and flatter bridgeline than the classic Holbrook. Another difference is the Unobtanium grip nosepads to keep the frames from slipping down your nose!
It would be more safe to say they are made overseas. Recently Oakley has stamped frames with 'USA Assembled' meaning the parts are made overseas and the frames are put together in the U.S.
Hi there! The asian fit has a thicker nose bridge area to lift the frames off your face more to avoid making contact with your cheekbones. The XL has taller and wider lenses than the standard but the temple arms are the same size as the standard. Hope this helps!
Dude ive got hoolbrook prizm p, that came in a box and with one sticker in the glass that says prizm deep water, is that like that? I mean my holbrook lensses are legit but I want to know.
Yes, you should be fine there. Oakley has recently been switching up the stickers that they use but the PRIZM lenses should always come with a lens etching. Hope this helps!
Thanks man, right in the lens, it says Prizm P, I never buy the sunglass that are for the public, I bought another that comes in new, not for the people to try, this Just came with one sticker that is like a sore of instruction sticker, my surprise was when this brand new holbrook came without the prizm sticker, I ask the lady in the shop, and she told me that the shop add the prizm stickers, since my sunglasses are brand new, it Just came out with one instruction sticker, what do you think about this?

Hi Chuck! Both are really great options! Oakley and Costa have their own proprietary lens technology that make each model worth considering. I would recommend contacting one of our certified opticians for a recommendation based on what activities you will be using your sunglasses for. You can reach them here: www.sportrx.com/contact
Hey Ricky! Thanks for reaching out. The temple to temple length on the Oakley Holbrook is 135 mm. Please let us know if we can help with anything else.
Hello Gama Rendon! Did you purchase them from SportRx? We can always look into your order and see what we can do for you if you did. Hello there! We would recommend any of the PRIZM Everyday lenses. They work very well in daily sunglasses. You can check out our full guide here: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-prizm-everyday-lens-technology/
Any chance a Holbrook XL video is on the way?!
Hey Chris Its on the list of reviews to come! We've mentioned it to Rob a couple of times but we will make sure to mention it again to him :)
Excellent, thank you!
Which one is the first model actually so that I can buy it ? (when I access the links provided I get different colors only) Thank you guys :)
Hi there! Oakley will sometimes phase colors out and bring new ones in. You can see all the current available colors of the Holbrook here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-holbrook.html
Plastic or glass frames?
Oakley Holbrook vs portal x, which one should I get, what is the difference.
Hi! Just got my prescription oakley holbrook sunglasses, it doesn’t have the “made in usa” inside the frame/temple. Are they legit/fake oakleys?
Hey Charles! If it doesn't have the "made in usa" on the temple it doesn't mean the sunglasses are fake. The best way to figure that out is to take the sunglasses to a sun glass dealership and have them check out the Holbrook frame. More than likely if they have prescription lenses then the frame is real.
Does anyone know which one of these you can change the lenses and which can’t be changed?
Hey Twisted SG! None of the Oakley Holbrooks have interchangeable lenses. However, if you are looking to swap in a different pair of lenses we recommend going to a local optometrist store. They will be able to pop out the old lenses and insert the new lenses without any issues.
Original Holbrook and Mix you can get replacement lenses easily. Holbrook metal you have to send to Oakley for a new lens, no replacements available. No offense Sport Rx but your comment was completely innacurate.
I sell oakleys and all of the holbrooks can easily change the lenses. The metals are more trickier but can do in 5 minutes.
Also we have replacement lenses for metals at my store.
Are these good for fishing
Hi there! The Holbrook can work but you should really check out some of the frames in our best Oakley fishing sunglass roundup: ua-cam.com/video/igYQRsL9TEw/v-deo.html
I love my hoolbrook i got the orange one and planning to buy another one
Awesome to hear! Thanks for checking out our video and sharing your experience with us!
Did you even touch the one by your left hand?
Anywhere I can get the frames at 1:32?
Hi there! The blue fade collection hasn't been in production for quite some time so they would be hard to find. Luckily, the Holbrook is a popular model and often chosen for exclusive colorways such as the blue fade. Hopefully Oakley will introduce some more unique colors soon!
How can I get the Holbrook all in black (black O on the sides and the dots) frame only so I can put in prescription lenses?
Hi Brett! We do not offer frame only at SportRx but you can always shop that colorway and order a custom rx lens or go with Oakley authentic rx lenses here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-holbrook.html
Are all Holbrook arms stamped R3 and L4?
Hello Firestone Man! No, not all Holbrooks are stamped R3 and L4. Thanks for reaching out!
I want to order some Holbrook's, but which is better, Prizm polarized or HD polarized?
PRIZM is the way to go! You will get enhanced contrast and be able to see every little detail!
Does Oakley still make sunglasses in the United States ?
Hey my holbrook mix Rossi vr46 matte black lens and frame with fluo yellow icons showed up today. First im super pumped.. 2nd one of the rivets is out of the frame and loose in box :( it kinda looks like a mini screw with threads. Any idea if it screws in or just push locks? Do I need adhesive? Should I just take it to my local oakley store at the mall? Ordered from a 3rd party sporting goods store. Id just hate to install it myself only to lose it later on. Can't find any specific vids on the topic. Please help, thanks!
Hi William! Sounds like the Oakley store might not be a bad bet!
@@sportrxeyewear hey thanks for the reply! Ya problem handled no sweat in a matter of seconds free of charge. Thats why oakley rocks. Whether its tactical gloves worn by frontline troops as they raid a terrorist nest, or the best shades on the face of the world's premier athletes and racers on the podium and everything and everyone in between. Snowboard gear/hiking bags/boots etc. All top notch.
I have a large head and want a Holbrook
XL in route with blue mirror lenses...what are my chances?
Hi Edward! There are several Holbrook XL with PRIZM Sapphire lens options here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-holbrook-xl.html
I tried on the Holbrooks at a local sunglasses hut and they didn’t have the same “mirrored reflection” is it because I wasn’t in direct sunlight ?
@John Kutil: They have iridium lenses & non iridium lenses... the iridium lenses are the ones with that mirrored finish... but also, if there is any light coming in from the back or top of the frame, it'll also take away from that mirrored look. If you wear a hat, it'll increase the mirrored look.
Hoolbrook steel?
Me encantan las Oakley sylas o las hollbrok
Which would be the difference between the Holbrook R round and square? Thanks
Hello there! The Holbrook R has a more rounded bottom and flatter bridgeline than the classic Holbrook. Another difference is the Unobtanium grip nosepads to keep the frames from slipping down your nose!
I'm 7 3/8 head. Do i need holbrook or holbrook xl ?
Holbrook XL should work well!
Hi, I know that this video is old, but, do you know where the Holbrook is made, USA or China ? Thanks
It would be more safe to say they are made overseas. Recently Oakley has stamped frames with 'USA Assembled' meaning the parts are made overseas and the frames are put together in the U.S.
Can the Holbrook temples replace Sliver ones if they breaks?
Unfortunately they are not interchangeable.
Is the Asian fit alot different? Or the XL?
Hi there! The asian fit has a thicker nose bridge area to lift the frames off your face more to avoid making contact with your cheekbones. The XL has taller and wider lenses than the standard but the temple arms are the same size as the standard. Hope this helps!
dude is selling the product better than the official dude❗️wake up!
I jus ordered custom Holbrook XL's 🤌🏽
Hello there, can the Standard Holbrook Lens replace and fit the Holbrook Metal Lens?
Hi there! Those lenses are not interchangeable because they are different sizes.
@@sportrxeyewear thanks a lot buddy
I think you should be fine but you can also check out this video to clear up any confusion: ua-cam.com/video/2dcBYCUFSOQ/v-deo.html
Gentlemen, I need help. I have size 54 Holbrook RX frame. I want non-RX sunglass lenses....options and colors? Thank you. Rasta.
Hi there! We specialize in RX sunglass replacement lens options. We do not offer non-rx replacement lenses.
SportRx thanks
WHat about the face that suits with this sunglasses?

Do these work with face id?
Great question! No. No, they don't.
SportRx I purchased these last week and it came in today. It works with Face ID.
Is it possible to change the icons on any of the holbrooks?
Not that we know of.
where can I find replacement arms for them? I have two pairs i need arms for.
Hi Richard! Unfortunately Oakley does not sell replacement temples for the Holbrook.
Does the regular Holbrook lenses fit the metal frame ones?
No they do not.
I have holbrook RX, and I find I am getting a distortion on the lenses. Is that common??
Hi Cameron! That is not common but it may have to do with your rx strength. We can always help you troubleshoot if you contact one of our certified opticians here: www.sportrx.com/contact
I had to get my lenses digitally made to in order the fish bowl look out.. There will be no distortion
If I already have a pair of regular Holbrooks, can I get just Rx lenses from you?
Hey Readyme! Absolutely, we can help with that :) Please email ryan@sportrx.com and he will get you set up with one of our certified opticians to get a lens only order going. We will need a copy of your prescription and pupil distance to get an order going.
Do you ship to Europe ? Cheers and keep the great stuff
Hi Bogdan! Unfortunately, we do not ship to Europe.
Is there a holbrook polarized?
Hi Pierre! The Holbrook is available in both polarized and non-polarized. You can check it out here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-holbrook.html Please let us know how else we can help you out!

Hello MrEphi123! That is the Oakley Holbrook Sapphire Fade with a PRIZM Sapphire Polarized lens. Thanks for reaching out!
SportRx thanks for the quick reply!
What case fits holbrook XL?
Hi there! The Sport Vault Soft Case should fit them well. Thanks for reaching out!
Are the Prizm tungsten polarized lens mirrored?
Hello chono2555! Yes, the tungsten lens does have an iridium coating on it which acts as a mirror. Thanks for reaching out!
What's more durable - the metal or the original holbrook?
Hi Jimmy! The Holbrook Metal would be more durable.
I can't order, im in Saudi.. how to order this???
I am sorry we don't ship to your country. Perhaps there is another online retailer that does!
@@sportrxeyewear Im not sure bout that😂 there's a lot of online store that delivers fake items.
where i can order holbrook temple. please help me. thank you
Hi Erwin! Holbrook temples are not available to order from Oakley. Your best bet is to contact the establishment you purchased them from to see what sort of warranty they offer on the frame.
i found used one. i bought it around 26 dollars
Is Holbrook metal frame painted?
They make a metal holbrook but not all of them are metal I'm almost certain.
What’s a better sunglass Oakley Holbrook’s or costa fantail? Let me know and I will order. I can’t decide.
Hi Chuck! Both are really great options! Oakley and Costa have their own proprietary lens technology that make each model worth considering. I would recommend contacting one of our certified opticians for a recommendation based on what activities you will be using your sunglasses for. You can reach them here: www.sportrx.com/contact
I’m Nick…. And I’m miserable….. cheer up dude!!!
Are these ansi z87?

temple to temple length?
Hey Ricky! Thanks for reaching out. The temple to temple length on the Oakley Holbrook is 135 mm. Please let us know if we can help with anything else.
How do I get just the arms I broke mine 😢
Hello Gama Rendon! Did you purchase them from SportRx? We can always look into your order and see what we can do for you if you did. Otherwise, I would recommend contacting the place you purchased them from to see what sort of warranty coverage they may provide. Unfortunately we do not have temple arm replacements available for the Holbrook so we would have to replace the entire frame. Thanks for reaching out!
The Michael Jordan of sunglasses. The goat
Can u play sports with the Holbrooks?
Thanks for commenting and watching the video! The Oakley Holbrooks are considered more of a lifestyle sunglass and aren't recommended for sports.
Thx for replying I was just a little confused when I heard sporty look
Asian Boys Productions I have used the for skateboarding, mountainbiking, and other sports. They stay on your head well and they are very versatile. Not the best for specifically sports but definately awesome.
