The Domain is a network that spawns the entire galaxy, kinda like the internet but with a massive reach. The Domain serves as a data repository and as a mean to link or connect to numerous Forerunner facilities and installations. Cortana used it to cure her Rampancy and offered this “cure” to hundreds of human AI’s across the galaxy in exchange for them to serve her. She used the Guardians to try and forced peace across the galaxy by practically threatening to destroy everything. She wasn’t sure if Chief would side with her or with humanity so she lured him and trapped him like you saw on the cutscene. She was planing to put him to sleep for 10thousand years while she was “cleaning” the galaxy out of conflict but in the last moment, Osiris fireteam were able to save Chief from Cortana. Still, Cortana self proclaimed as the ruler of the galaxy, her and the other AIs called themselves the “Created” and she is at this moment the most powerful being in the galaxy. Oh wow. I'm so glad to see him again. Did not recognize cause he looks bit different, only by name. Had to google Spartan 4's, don't recall hearing about them before. Interesting. They themself's are not that powerful as Spartan 2 and 3 but their armor is better what i'm reading. Woops, how did i miss that. Okay no wonder it seems they know John really well and treat as brothers. This game needs to come steam! Don't think it will but that be amazing :)
A lot of the story is explained during gameplay, so it's definitely confusing just to watch the cutscenes. The story is basically: Cortana got really powerful & is using the Guardians to take over the universe. She doesn't think that's bad or evil because she just wants everyone to be peaceful, but that means you get peace by force, making her something like a dictator of the universe.
Wish one day could play this! Thank you for info. Hard to think Cortana would be like that but then again what would anyone do if given option to bring peace to galaxy. Now i'm really curious what happens next. Actually i don't really blame her at all x)
Five is okay. You play as both spartan teams. Basically just shows John searching for Cortana and Locke chasing John. Cortana is the biggest threat to the universe. The guardians are how the forerunners ruled lesser life forms, like AI police/military. It’s my least favorite game in halo. Some like the graphics, new weapon design, and special skills available.
Hard to think Cortana be threat. It sure would be scary thought to have AI in charge of everything. Then again what we see in the world of our reality is humans better? Maybe not, interesting to think about. Making guardians makes sense a lot, no need to sacrifice actual life forms if you can use drone/robot types of entities to fight. Wish to even try this one day somehow, maybe one day. I did recognize couple weapons from Halo 4 in the cutscenes.
