Every time I hear it, I replace Amanda with Sarina, my dear lady that I've been dating for over two years now. She's from the Philippines and everyday I express my feelings and tell her I love her every single day. She is very special to me and I am in love with her constantly. I write her poetry every day and it just absolutely feeds her soul. Anything to make her smile and fall head over heels in love; Sarina's the one for me and I can't wait to hold her in my arms forever. 💙🇺🇲👫🇵🇭💜 #ilovemygirlfriendverymuch
Turned 65 today , screwed up my back last week and I'm stuck in the bed . I was feelin kinda bummed out till I watched you react to this video , you really put a smile on my face ! Thank you , love the channel 👍👍
This song was recorded from 80 to 81 and released in September of 1986. I was 26 at the time of this third album so I remember it vividly. I started to listen to them when I was in HS and obviously never stopped listening to them. Brad had such an amazing voice who in my opinion can never be replaced or duplicated.
I guess it's pretty, but it's also deeply sad, it's about self doubt and never feeling you live up to others expectations of you. Brad's vocals are just so urgent and plaintive, and the guitar is so emotionally evocative, it is probably my favorite song by them. On the flip side, To Be a Man from their third album, Third Stage, same album as Amanda, has a much more positive idea about how a man should be, it's a short one, but to the point. I would put My Destination, A New World(it's an instrumental that bridges the other 2 songs), and To Be a Man as a medley together in one reaction video. Third Stage is kind of a loose concept album, with more mature ideas about relationships and philosophies than their earlier albums, as all the members of the band were middle aged by then and they wrote about what mattered to them. This record gets some flack for not being as brilliant as the first 2, but Third Stage will always have a special place in my heart for coming to me at my formative young adult years.
I saw an interview where he said even at Boston's height he could walk down the street incognito... a blessing really. So sad he passed the way he did😔
