I remember hearing this song for the first time in the mid 1980’s. As soon as Brad Delp started singing I knew it was Boston. Iconic voice. By the way I love the rooster crowing in the background.
20-ish years ago I had a huge crush on a girl named Amanda. At one point, I dedicated this song to her. Yeah, I was one of those teenagers. It was not to be, though. Still love the song!
Their "Third Stage" album gets flak from the fans for being inferior, but I adore it. I find myself firing it up once every couple of months. The song Hollyann is a stunning way to end the Brad Delp era on vinyl.
The song To Be a Man came in a very impressionable time in my life, I always like to think I try to emulate it's message, sometimes its it's hard, but I try.
Ty is came out when I was in basic training. I bought it as soon as I graduated and had to buy a Walkman also. Lol. No one had cds yet and we couldn’t have any of that stuff during basic training. Thanks for the memories
I love this reaction alot. I had this song already on my list. Boston doesn't disappoint. For the next Reaction Fest, I recommend CINDERELLA - You Don't Know What You've Got (Till It's Gone)
you should do "Holly Ann" from the same album, also, "To be a Man".....you know what.....all the songs on this album deserve your attention. You have to listen to "The Launch" and "Cool the Engines" together as one song. Oh and, Crank it up!
Greetings from Miami, Florida!!! The songs I would like you to check out and react to are from Earth Wind and Fire: 1) And Love Goes On 2) Sparkle 3) Ive Got a Song In My Heart 4) Sailaway 5) Back On The Road 6) Brazilian Rhyme (aka Beijo)
Being mental health professionals maybe check out The Quiet Room by Alice Cooper. It's off his From the Inside album which he did after getting out of an institution.
I still feel real sad Brad Delp is not with us. Such a great singer...
