    On certain surfaces solvents etc are not always suitable! So often the best method is using sellotape - push it onto the unwanted sticky residue; pull it off. And again.. Do it as many times as necessary. Little by little all is removed.. Very satisfying!

    I make my own Goo Gone . It really works. It also removes the marker writings from my storage tubs. While packing things in tubs, I label whats in them. Then, when I empty them, I rub the goo gone on, and the tubs are ready for something else.

    The car repair shop put a sticky label on my windscreen which left a sticky residue. I'm trying to find out which one of these ideas would be the best to use. So far, I think I'm going to give alcohol, nail polish remover or hand sanitizer a try.

  • @alip.6737
    @alip.6737 3 місяці тому +15

    I have also heard that if you don't get a label wet, you can put really really hot water in the container, let it sit a short while and then you can start peeling it and it generally will peel without leaving residue. I haven't really tried this yet. I have soaked in hot soapy water and had pretty good success depending on what kind of glue was used. I do like to use oil of some sort when needed but never thought to add baking soda. Will have to give that a try! :)
