I went to Iloilo last July 27 to July 31, 2022 for 4N/4D trip. For this vlog, I’ll be sharing with you guys my experience traveling to Iloilo alone and exploring the Guimaras Island (day tour only).

11: 40 pm - Went to 7/11 to buy stuffs and food
11:50 pm onwards - Dinner, unpack luggage and sleep
Day 1 - July 28
08:30 am - Breakfast at Tely’s bed and Breakfast
09:00 am - Head to City Mall Parola
09:40 am - Ferry boat to Jordan Port, Guimaras (Php 40 per way)
10: 00 am - Start of Guimaras Island Day Tour (Php 1,500 c/o Kuya Joel Facebook Tour Guide)
05:45 pm - Ferry Boat back to Iloilo City
07:00 pm - Back at the accomodation
09:30 pm onwards - Dinner/night life at MO2 Ice (Smallvill)
12:00 midnight - Partied at The Cave Superclub
Day 2 - July 29
04:00 am - Van pick up at the hotel going to Carles Iloilo (c/o Iloilo Travel and Tours)
07:00 am - Arrival at Bancal Port Carles Iloilo
08:00 am - Start of Isla Gigantes Tour (c/o Iloilo Travel and Tours; Php 999 with Lunch)
04:00 pm - End of isla Gigantes Tour
05:00 pm - Travel back to Iloilo City
08:00 pm onwards - Dinner and free time

07:30 am - Van pick up at the hotel (c/o Iloilo Travel and Tours)

I was there in Jordan,Guimaras Island last month April 2023,stayed at the Trappist Monastery
Nice! Didn’t know that you can stay at the Trappist Monastery.
You should've dropped by Crystal clear resort in guisi in guinaras. Just a couple hundred meters away from guisi lighthouse. Way way better than Alubijud. You have huge shoreline there plus , few beach goers in this side of guinaras. But anyways, thanks for visiting my humble city of Love, ILOve ILOve ILOILO. 💗🤟🏼🌸

The taxis at the airport always try to do a fixed rate since forever. Depending on the taxi company, some will use the meter.
In traffic sometimes the fixed rate was better LOL. But at night usually they dont like doing meter, cause then in the city theres barely any pickups and they have to drive all the way back empty.
Yeah. I thought so too. That’s why grab is the best option to go the city if you arrived at the airport late 😅

nice to see your vlog & still awaiting your Gigantes post... may I know is it worth to go to Gigantes after seeing Guimaras coz Gigantes with loooong travel, total of 8hrs to & fro?? how's your experience as joiner esp the convenience of land transport used by joiners for such long travel time? thanks

Regarding your question, yes, it’s still worth it to do the gigantes island day tour! I would recommend to book a tour from an agency and ask them that you want a van service going to carles and going back to iloilo city to avoid any hassle than bus commute. I was mostly sleeping during the van ride which is a total of 6 hours going and back to the city. 😊
@@_luisaoliver They said 4 hrs ea to & fro..so it's only total of 6 hrs lang pala (two way)..yes, we are talking already with an agency eh..

Are the Gigantes islands somewhere someone on a budget can stay for several days or is it better to find accommodation in northern Iloilo area then, do Gigamtes as a day trip?
Hiii. There’s a budget friendly resort in Antonia Island of you want to stay in the gigantes island but the phone signal is not good. If you have limited time, i think it would be beat to stay in northern part of iloilo then go to carles iloilo for the gigantes island day tour 😊

Hiii. I did not take a taxi from the airport since fixed rate sila mga 600 pesos ata yun and almost midnight na din kasi. Mag-grab na lang po kayo kahit papano mas mura.

Hello, thank you so much 😊 From Iloilo City proper, you can take a grab going to the City Mall Parola. Then take a ferry going to Jordan Port. It will only take 15 mins. Yes, sinundo ako ni kuya joel sa guimaras or jordan port na po.

Iloilo is a safe place po to travel, all police station and destination is monitored by local govt.
A strong woman doesn’t need a bf or anyone to be protected. It is 2024. Iloilo is safe. One just need to know the safety of each place or country to visit. This is an advice from an independent woman who already wandered the world and live overseas for many years. Keep traveling solo or with a group. Don’t let opinion of people stop or limit you
