- Awesome time with Metallica on stage in front of a 25,500 crowd!
Check out our second (yes yes, we are THAT lucky :P) time on stage, two days later in Sweden:
• On Stage with Metallic...
You gotta admit Metallicas interaction way their fans is unreal
#1 in the world!!! 🥰🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
They reactions looking like they are not popular and ther are playing in a local pub average gig. thats beautifull
Yeah if you pay them enough
@@clcartlidge Again, this was totally free (a lottery for MetClub members). We only purchased ~120 Euro normal ticket price for the show... so... :)
@@golot when I saw them in Manchester stadium UK I paid £100 for rear standing. Front standing was £175 and then there was the golden circle at £2000 a ticket. Disgusting prices, they should be ashamed - you need to be rich to see Metallica nowadays
"No selfies if James is playing in front of you"
So he takes a video camera
Ok sussy baka
I think what he meant was - If he is playing looking towards the crowd, don't try to put your phone in front of him to catch him the the selfie.
@@lotsapasta0858 They didn't seem to mind at all, maybe you were watching a different video. ;-)
I think they meant, don't get in their way, try to interrupt their playing, vibe, etc. by taking pics. Staying at the back of the stage while shooting a video didn't seem to be a big deal. The boys all seem to be good sports about the entire situation.

God this would be the greatest thing ever.
+austin thompson No, the Thing That Should Not Be is!
Da Fuckin' Metallica!!!
Trollmann85 Great video job!!!
I fuckin' love this!!!
- ohh i know riiight.!!!
Why would you want this? The sound back there must be crappy as hell
Metallica is all about their fans, they always go out of their way to give the fans something back.
That is why Metallica to me is the best damn band ever.
+BADGER Games (Badger1999) they are the best band in the world.
+Juan. Lega people always give them shit about them "sucking" like back at the "night before" Kirk fucked up the fade to black solo, and so many people have been guving them shit it's like nobody's perfect and to me it's cool to see that he messed up because I've messed up solos before I know the feeling, so to see him mess up means he's not some super god lol people make mistakes and we're all human. Still gonna listen to them I always have always will. People need to shut up about "Lars can't do double bass" half those people I bet can't do double bass, I can do double bass and I'm good at if for about a min and I can't do it anymore lol the shit they do ain't easy. So everyone should just calm the hell down.
Awesome..Metallica!
Juan. Lega
Hah! Just looked at VIP tickets;
they charge 2,400€, if you want
to meet them...
I would give anything in the world to be on the same stage with Metallica
Jesus Christ and Metallica. Yep that makes sense
Remember my child, God created Metallica! Keep rocking! 🎸

This mustve been the best experience of your life..
lol, probably :)
Knowing James, he probably farted when he walked by the crowd.
When you get to a certain age all you have left is farting on people.

Wait are we talkin bout Mustaine here orr... Pretty sure you said James.

This is just insane. What an experience. Better than a meet and greet.
Ooohhh no. definitely not better as a m&g 🤣. but it’s still awesome
@@JohRauh66695 well, not better than a meet and greet with Hetfield anyway! But that’ll cost you a lot more $$$ and only lasts about a minute.
The dudes are really living the life.
Thank you for sharing this with us all the Metallica family!!!! Whomever did this is beyond amazing!!!!!
It was AWESOME! 🤘🔥
So lucky to be that close!!
At 0:55
Mom: Honey, who gave you mono?
Girl: Lars Ulrich
It’s funny, once Lars hands the cup over to the people, the people treat it like it’s the holy grail and start drinking from it!
I would legit miss a family members funeral for this if I had the opportunity. Experience of a lifetime 🤘🏻
What if it was a close family members funeral? Lol.
Real talk: how cool would it be to be this close, in person to the band? To watch James/Lars/Kirk/Rob play up close and in person?
I was in the Snake Pit in 1992, which included, an after show meet & greet. I'm a musician, so, I ended up sitting at a table with James Hetfield and he welcomed the fact that I talked about anything but music with him! It was kinda weird, no one else sat at that table with us, they must have been intimidated, or, maybe they thought I was one of the roadies with my long hair & metal head clothing, who knows. It was pretty badass though, that's for sure!!
@@benttwisted210 How do you even get a snake pit pass?
@@Z4blA it was for one tour, look it up, but, they were doing radio station contest giveaways for them & my roommate was close friends with a DJ that had a pair and wasn't going, so, he gave them to my buddy and we went!! Fucking badass!!
@@benttwisted210 what a fantastic experience. I've always heard, the best way to talk to a celebrity, is just to talk to them like a normal person, and not geek out like a fanboy. Well played.
OMG! Lucky you! I was in the crowd:)
It was awesommmme! :)
A cup of Lars ball sweat.
+Run Asulin how did you manage to go there ?
+Start treize Go on a competition on the MetClub and you can win that or Meet & Greet

Very nice video, like seeing Lars interact with his fans. And most of all, i love the double bass and close-up filming.

Consider yourself lucky to be alive at that time. All i can do is watch the recordings of the concerts. Still very grateful those are available. Im 20 now. Its fun to think about how my life would be if i was 20 during that time

I would be freaking crazy to see them that close. Amazing.
I listen Metallica First time with 11 years old , today is 42 , Metallica simply the best
Great video!!! I was on the stage with Megadeth October 14 2016, now it's time to be on stage with Metallica!!!
To get things right - in 2015 i was on stage with Metallica in Munich. I just had have a ticket for the Festival(Rockavaria), which i paid 80 Eurod for(1 day ticket-it was a 3 days festival). The on stage experience was totally for free! You only were able to get on stage by taking part on a lottery of the Metallica Fanclub. Metallica never took money for such things from their fans(like some haters want to make people believe here)!
They only started to introduce "special experiences" on their last legs of the Hardwired Tour, since all the other bands did this for years(Kiss, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Megadeth, Guns n Roses).
OH MY GOD!!!! What a religious experience you all had!!!! I am sooo jealous!!!!!! I can't even think right now.I think if I was there, I would have been a crying fool ( tears of joy) of course!
Thanks for the love and support!! You're choosing by my UA-cam managements as an active fan that's why you're seeing this. Kindly send me message on my hangout.❤️
I hope I become a famous musician so I can enter act with crowds like this 😭
And btw- if you are lit up on stage at night you will only see the first few rows of the crowd if you are in the light and they are in the dark. Most situations you won’t see if there is half as many people. I know from smaller crowds. You might see 2 then walk off stage and realize their is 10. If you are in a dressing room or rehearsal hall you get a call and you go you dunno what to expect. It’s actually good bc it’s a lot less scary when you don’t see everyone. You kinda have to stare at nothing you can see so the people in back think you are paying attention. If they haven’t played they won’t know you can’t see them! Lol. My dad would be dumb I try to wave at night you don’t see anything 5 rows back. It’s like looking out a window at night with the lights on inside off outside. Good news is you also can’t tell when it’s empty. If you play a lot that’s what you will see most the time and always at first. At the end all the crowd lights turn on you will see as people leave.
A little too far! That’s what a Slayer fan would say!
2:29 That take is nice
What he sees/what she sees
@@srallulrich no babe the bass stays on
What song were they playing during that clip?
It looks like they are having a great time! That's good to see with a band that has been together so long. Rock on!!

You and I would’ve taken one anyways, you know it
@@quabbl6939 facts
So awesome how they could stay relevant through their careers.,I've been a fan ever since I got the killem all album for Christmas from my uncle in the late 80s, thanks uncle todd.
Lucky bastard! Your camera got better audio coverage than what Metallica's audio team gets, you can actually hear the dbass pedals quite clearly. I went to their live show in 2013 and realized that most youtube videos of Metallica over the last couple of years have poor audio mixing.
That is probably because the audio recording is straight from PA mix and not a multi-track that just records all the instrument feeds. PA speakers are mixed quite differently than videos so the guys that put together the videos are quite limited. Most festival recordings are like this or recorded with mics that then record the PA which is just absolutely crap. The best live videos use multi-track and then you can mix it like you would a studio track and it will sound very good if mixed by a good sound engineer.
I was at the other end on this stage when you filmed this ! Awesome !
Legendary band! I was expecting that they all would be very selfish but they actually are very commutative and enthusiastic with you guys on stage :)
Metallica is the least selfish out of the Big 4. They don’t have a selfishness in them
The setlist of this show in incredibly good!
I'd imagine this is an extremely hard thing to pull off, usually when you fuck something up you have this safe space at the back of the stage but now there are like 100 peeps standing there.
Oh my god! This is AWESOME!
This would be a dream come true, thx for sharing.
The band acknowledging the fans standing on stage with them is everything to me. That impressed me beyond words. To see all four guys giving REAL smiles and talking with the fans on stage made them so much more human to me and showed me how f*cking down to Earth they are. I will never forget watching this video. EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that's the fucking awesomeness right in front of you..... I went to the summer sanitarium tour 2001 and they didn't have people on stage at that time but the moshing was off the hook!
Best moment of my life 😍 ^^

"You dont go to a Metallica show and fucking tell them to turn it down" - Quentin Tarantino
Someone did one time
@@kennethbaggett5108 I actually was at show where James himself asked the sound guy to turn it down. It was an inside gig and the arena reflected sound so much we could almost not hear what they were playing. He also noticed it and had them fix it. That's when my tinnitus started. I had ringing in my ears for 3 days and it never totally went away. Totally worth it though lol.

So nice!!
i hope someday a movie will come out about the start and rise of how Metallica grew to what they are. these guys are to me what the beatles were to someone in their 70s.
Must have been a great experience. The only downside is that they use in-ear monitors so the stage isn't as loud as it used to be (when they had amplifier cabinets behind the backdrop, now the cabinets are in isolation boxes and the sound mix gets directed to them via their in ear monitors. Much better for their hearing obviously, but it makes it worse for those guys in the fanclub who are onstage since they're now standing behind the PA instead of in front of it.) .
Those massive walls of cabinets were mostly fake anyway. Back then you would just use monitor boxes for on-stage sound. The biggest advantage of in-ear monitoring is that you can move freely around the stage
@@cehaem2 No. On the Kill Em All & Lightning Tours, they were real. Same with Puppets-AJFA tours as well, though they were hidden behind the stageset, so you couldn't see them (Same thing on the black album tour when they didn't use the "diamond" stage) . On the black album tour, they used ISO boxes, but the sound was routed to/through monitors which laid on their backs just below the stage (which is why you don't see any monitors onstage from that era), they did the same thing during the Load/ReLoad tours as well (when not using a conventional stage). They always moved around even when they didn't have in-ear monitoring.
25k in norway, 63k in sweden
+emil molin 67k in Brazil
+emil molin 5 million peaple in norway 10 mill. in sweden. of course its higher
+PyroMonster94 good point👍🏻
But this is on a nearly 1000 year old medieval fortress... That's not a type of venue you can easily find.
This was in my hometown, it's a 1000 (if not slightly more) year old medieval fortress (the venue that is). 25k is pretty much sold out. Bergen is also only the 2nd largest city in Norway (only Oslo is bigger in terms of people living there), in 2014 there was only 272.000 people living here, so a 25k attendance is pretty good. In 2018 when they played in Trondheim they played at a much bigger venue and had around 37.000 people there, so the venue is pretty much the limiting factor at play.
Hearing lars in the room instead of through mics has changed my mind a bit, I mean man he's not the best but I'd still be in a band with him
except you didn't hear him in the room, but though this dude's camera mic.
Sure he's dying to be in a band with you too
nice vid man !
Amazing 👏
Fantastic!!!
that's friggin cool man
What a beautiful gift 🎁 🔝🔝🔝🔝
And immediately these people realized just how bad on stage sound is without monitors or in-ears and how bad drums sound to the drummer behind the kit.
Amazing! All Fan's dream!
This would be fantastic
Love those once in a life time moments ❤️
