1st - You need to register a new battery to car , can be done with Carly OBD unit , 2nd - That's not CCC unit ( from thumbnail ) , it's M-ASK unit , it's dead , or screen is dead , you need to test that , but to thest that you need a screen or a M-ASK unit to test it , or it would be an MPM module from trunk under spear tire . 3rd - If you had water in Battery place , than you will have water in spare tire place , and under there is some modules that runs cars electricity - so you need to check that too . 4th - You need to call ur dealer , and ask about "+ cable " status , because several E60/61's have been burned down because of that big "+ cable" , bmw dealer did recall on that , so it's compleatly free if previous owner didn't bring it to dealer for an "+ cable " change . Hope everything will be fine and fixed , keep going with that car , maybe in the future would be M front and rear bumper ? :D Greetings from Latvia :)
If u had water in battery compartment then probably you have water in trunk(where the spear tire is) and there is alot of modules and one module controlls idrive(MPM module). Its very very common fault on those cars. I suggest you to move those modules. Also if you dont fix the water in the trunk issue then the modules literally can burn down, happend to my brother. Also M-ask(so called CCC) can be also faulty but usally it is mpm module
Ccc multimedia is a common problem on these cars. I suggest you replace the unit with the newer MASK-2 system that does not fail like CCC over time. You can try to replace the unit or get it repaired but it will not last long. Otherwise, great video!
Please register the battery. You HAVE to CODE it only if you put a bigger/ smaller battery. You HAVE to REGISTER the new Battery. With time the original battery is getting tired and it charges much slower so the alternator has to work more. If you install a new battery and don't tell the car...Hey new battery installed so now you can work normally, the battery is gonna get overcharged and will break prematurely
I have heard you need to adjust the battery settings in the car. Because the car counts how old your battery gets and adjuste the voltage output or something. So you need to tell the car you added a new one or else all the modules will get to much voltage.
I had the same issue whit my idrive it’s the bigger one CCC problem was the module have changed the video card in the module (recycle the module) for 150 euros and 4 years now it’s works perfect
P.S The coolant temp thingy on the gauges only works for e60 I think, on e9x series it doesn't. Need to access it from the "hidden" menu to bring it on the dashboard each time you start the car..
Hi, I've had almost the same issue ( mine it got stucked on booting, specifically on BMW logo), I've talked with one local guy that repairs BMW CCC navigation systems and now is working flawless. The issue is coming from the CD player to say so, it needs to resolder the circuits inside of it or you can try to find someone who knows about this navigation system and how to repair it. I hope you find this helpful. Don't be dissapointed. This for E60, is known to have some issues with the electrical parts and modules, but it's fixable. Keep up the good work. :D
E60 a is very complex car. First you need to register the new battery, then find somebody with good Bmw diagnostic to find why and how that hapened because with so much modules and electric staf on this car it will be dificult to find where is the problem. Good luck.
Water in spare tire! MPM module failure and thats the reason why idrive doesnt work and it drains the battery! Common e60 issue BTW the stripes on the rpm gauge is for the transmission oil temperature! The engine temp u can find in secrete menu!
I think what’s wrong with your iDrive system it’s burn out because I have the same issue on my car but I fixed it. You need a used iDrive system or it’s cold CCC unit but I have to be matching the part number and have to be coded as the only way to fix it. Good luck.
Yes lil white box u Dee ur spare. Tire remove it. Open the box u will find it fried due to water getting. In spare tire compartment reroute the wires to the opposite side of battery n get ur self new box plug it. Up n boom ur probly fix happens too all of. These
Friend of mine has a e61 with the n47 engine an da selfmade tune (ecu flashed with china hardware and internet knowledge) treats it like he stole it, makes huuuuge torque with the tune. And that thing just never breaks. Got 315.000 km on the clock. Not a single issue since 3 years.
Check micro power module it's in the trunk under reserve wheel. It might be full of water it happend on mine I coudn't turn the car off and ccc not on😂
Ur ment to program battery because the car outputs more power from Altinator as it gets older so u have a new battery making more power probably fried the i drive idk if this is true or not but its what iv heard and the battery is 12v and ah is amp hours
Hvis bilen har IBS ville jeg koblet den ut, er en connector ved batteriet, hadde samme problemet med strøm på min 525d. Har ikke tappet seg eller gått tom etter jeg kobla den ut :)
@@FahreFilms Ikke koble ut IBS, den måler kretsene når bilen skal " sove", om det er en komponent som trekke strøm så bryter den reléet. IBS skal passe på at batteriet har nok til start strøm. Ta ett multimeter eller ampertang i serie med bilen " mellom jord og negativ pole, og lås alt, kan gjerne dytte inn låsen på bagasjerom og dører også låse. Vent en time, om målingene er under 80 mA så har du ingenting som trekker.

@@podshortsdose Fikk nå ikke sett det i videoen, men om IBSèn tideligere har slått ut så kommer en bil på bokk opp på skjermen, men kan godt være IBSen eller en parasitisk strømtyv som er veldig vanlig på e60. Med tanke på at bilen hadde stått i en uke og batteriet var dårlig så kunne ikke IBSen gjort så mye uansett.
i have golf 6 and it also must have agm battery because of start/stop function but i bought regular battery because i dont need start start/stop it only wears your starter motor much faster

If your problem with the shaking of the steering wheel while braking isn't from the rotors or the pad . You should check lower and upper control arms.

leave it without battery for 20 minutes, then the software will be reset

This is not CCC, CCC have bigger display, you have MASK with small display, check the MPM module located near emergency spare wheel room.

You always should code the battery on e60, because the car adjusts the charging power according to the age of the battery!

check your most front control arms, mine were bad and that made my brakes shake allot. new control arms and no problems anymore

CCC unit faulty, its bellow the cd player in the back.
maybe you forgot to connect a wire in the engine in the right (passenger side) u disconnected in the last video
