Why does oilfilter-housing to ground Spark like that?
Im working on a same car ... same cable was broken ... i put a new cable ... but car isn't starting ... i can hear the starter go off ... click thats about ... changed starter aswell...
What part number for the E60?
Can a bad ground cause my car to throw random codes and give me a cel that I’ve never had before? I tried giving someone a jump and since then I’ve had several issues where my car doesn’t start and only cranks sometimes, but when it does start it’ll sound rough and starts giving me random codes such as dtc, dsb, dsc, fuel pump, headlight malfunction and “start-off assistance inactive”
Wouldnt happen to know if the ground strap is in the same location on an 07 525i N52? thanks
same side, A bit easier though, no Turbos to deal with.

Nice video. Will this faulty ground strap cause no communication with DDE. I am asking because, my DDE is not communicating. Checked all Harnesses, they are fine.
Did you ever figure out what happen to your car my is having the same problem

Just so I understand, The starter activates and cranks with cables on but the engine overall will not start and run?
a ranssack.a shame how this BMW looks. it starts with the steering wheel
