- In this video we will begin a discussion of the graded approach, used to build capacity in patients who get too anxious or defensive to face their true feelings. This is a complex topic with many aspects, so it will take a number of videos to just scratch the surface.
Nice! The video cut off, however, as you said, “I hope this…” and then then video abruptly cuts out.
Wow. That was a fast reply. Thank you! :)
Thank you🙏 You have so much experience and insight. I study psychology in Sweden and I am looking forward to reading your books🌸
So glad to hear it! A new one will come out in the next month or two, so keep your eyes out for that.
@@patriciacoughlinphd1852 Woohoo! That's very exciting. Please post a video once it has launched.
Please can you do a video on how to deal with suicidal ideation within an istdp framework
If the headache continues after they’ve “come back” is that still a sign of anxiety being too high?
No, that would suggest that aggressive impulses are being repressed and that the patient is doing to himself what he wants to do to another. So, if anxiety is in striated go for feelings and impulses toward the person involved in the event that triggered the headache.
This was so good. I have a current counselir who never asks anything! I was silent for a long time and she never said a word.......next week she said, ye there were a lot of silences last week. Huh?
I linw her but she is a BAD therapist. I gotta leave. This lil snippet spokw to me. My therapist is NOT righr for me.
You might want to check out www.istdpinstitute.com and look for therapists trained in this method who practice in your state.
Ì love your video
