Because that makes the break angle even worse.
@@johnwest6083 that's true. We may never know the real answer.
@@johnwest6083 I think he meant top wrapping for a lot less break angle, like jimmy page use to do.
@@benjamins9121 Exactly
But how does it sound “sonically?”
The double neck still has the original Gibson patent number pickups . Gibson built a custom shop signature replica of the double neck and slash actually said he thinks the replica actually sounds better then the original
Does he use 50's style wiring harnesses in his LP's, or does he use the modern style wiring harness?
"This guy is a BC Rich bitch" *laughter in the backround*
What does he refer at when he talks about the neck to body joint of the '87 standard? They were short tenon at the time, right?
The neck angle of loads of non historic Gibsons is glued way too steep, meaning the bridge has to be high.
So interesting!
Love all the details. Would love even more an in-depth chat about which guitar was used on which part of which tune of the UYI albums.
You want a guitar influence, Joe Perry ain't a bad way to go.
Slash used the first guitar in this video on sweet child o mine.
Not the recording. The recording is his Chris Derrig replica

.
Slash's a beast for using 11gauges😂
Yea, I use 9s because I’m lazy

This is a re upload right?
We're going back through our Rig Rundowns and picking out our favorite clips and reposting them. Some people aren't keen on watching a 30-minute video, but a more digestible snippet on a certain topic brings a bigger audience, and in result, hopefully engages with them enough that they check out the full video. (Full transparency: we got the idea from JRE Clips - Joe Rogan's subsidiary channel - and others that re-use their content to engage new/bigger audience.) Thanks for your feedback and support ... YOU make this channel a success.
It is true that pups sounds weak at low volume so that wont squeal at high volume stage playing?
I really hate they didn't go through all his guitars. That would have been worth the Rig Rundown alone.
