No, a reasonable bench mark does make good sense once you have a reasonable stable of GBL &/or Raid meta mon. 30million is NOT a reasonable amount. I've had multiple times come up for special cups or 5 star raids where I "suddenly" needed to power up a mon or two. No harm in being disciplined in holding 1-3 million dust in reserve and then freely spend over that amount. I've been working hard on a stable for the last year so it's not uncommon I drop to 100k... but I am finally reaching a point where I have my Great and Ultra league champs sitting like I need them to be and have a good set of 5star raid attackers ready to go. I like how you go straight to the point. Unlike other content creators out there talking about their trips most of the video instead of Pokémon; not gonna name them but I know you guys know what I’m talking about.
you could have mentioned the fact you get a free star piece for completing the current event quests, and they're super easy because they've increased the amount of rocket spawns I think
im telling you, gbl is the best stardust gaining strategy. you will get 20k+ dust a day by just completing you 5 sets. when you win, you also gain some extra and the massive 100k dust reward at the end of the season
Most underrated stardust grind is feeding berries to mons in gyms instead of throwing them away. I had a wailord earn me 27k dust in a 30 day span. That’s just one mon.
There was this event a month ago?, where Trubbish was spawning like crazy. Knowing that Trubbish gave 750 stardust per catch, I played this event the hardcore way, every single day, and using my whole batch of star pieces... and managed to raise about 800k stardust. That was an AMAZING event! And those are the kind of events where you must pay attention to the spawning pokemon, which could have a stardust bonus per catch. (Other examples are Shellder and Chimecho),
As always, it's great advice but if you've been playing less than a year and you are taking advantage of the massive dust available in GBL it's very hard to NOT always be in a dust deficit. Building a core stable of Great, Ultra and Master rank mon takes a long time and alot of dust. Once you have some solid core mon however, the GBL is more than worth the dust you will win. Eventually you will catch up and can set and reach a benchmark but getting to that point takes a long while.
My benchmark has been 5 million for a year now and I love knowing it's there when I need it. I just can't seem to reach my 10 million goal though. I don't power up anything unless I absolutely need to but I've got a 4* rayquaza and it's so tempting to max this baby out.
I'd max that baby up instantly. A 4* Rayquaza is worth gold. You can't go wrong with maxing it out. Rayquaza is the top best dragon type pokemon in the game, and once Rayquaza gets its mega form, you will a monster beast of a pokemon. In one pokemon tournament game a while back mega Rayquaza was actually banned for being to strong.
@@sigisoltau6073 Question. Right now I've got Dragon Tail and Hurricane. What would you recommend for the moveset. I'll be adding a second charge move too.
@@MunchyRelue I'd keep those two. If you add the second charged attack, and you have enough tm's, I'd go for Outrage. Rayquaza is the best dragon type attacker in the game, and for me worth the effort in maxing out. It has very high attack, but low defense, and quite a few weaknesses. Still, as I said worth the effort. In the normal pc games, when I play through Emeral I always go for Rayquaza. Takes a while to get but so worth the effort. It has insane attack stats and access to many moves. When done right, with the proper moves it can one shot almost every pokemon in the game.
@@sigisoltau6073 Thanks again! You are awesome! El Ray maxed out at 4336 and I added Outrage. The stardust hurt but I'm still around the 5 million mark and I know I'll gain it all back with community day! One more thing...Mewtwo. I did 184 mewtwo raids and no hundo and after all those freakin raids I barely got enough XL candies to get one to level 44. Lol. But would you recommend I use the little bit of XL candies I have on an 80% (11/11/14) shadow mewtwo, a 98% reg mewtwo, or save them for a possible better shadow mewtwo later? Sorry, for all the questions. I'm level 48 and still have much to learn.
I like to add on to this list as 6th but very viable way to grind dust. Complete your daily gbl sets. Even if you don't like gbl or Don't like losing. If u really hate pvp I suggest u use low cp mons throughout all 5 sets but before u claim your 1st sets rewards throw a starpice on.
Excellent advise! One thing I ask you discuss, can you make a video about people who hoard Stardust and never power up anything. Example they got 20 mil Stardust and level 20 or 25 legendaries and never power them up,never when they are relevant.
after setting stardust benchmarks and now im at 2.77million stardust, (im mainly a pvp/gbl player), now stardust isnt even a problem, the only thing to worry about is candy. it was easy to drop 230k to test a new team(the team was good and i won with it a lot). pokemon for gbl are a good investment since you get so much stardust from gbl anyways. minimum 20k a day

Is stacking rocket eggs really worth it compared to hatching 24 eggs per day? My galaxy s8 drifts like crazy so I drift approx 60km/day just having the app open on my desk all day so I hatch approximately 24eggs per day.
I started with the 1 million bench mark as you suggested in an earlier video, but then thought if Billy sets his benchmark higher there is a good reason so grinding to 10 million as my benchmark.
Good tips I usually stay within the 1,900,000 & 2million mark. I have been slowly powering up my Pokémon & don’t max out anything unless it’s Lucky or Mega. Saves you a ton of dust & helps make your Pokémon stronger faster. Stacking dust & mega energy then spending low, walking more & Hatching 12 -12k eggs helps a lot to build a powerful bag. Shadow Pokémon I’m starting to use I wouldn’t go past lvl 35 though unless its Shadow Mew Two. Shadow Mew Two is very versatile as well as regular Mew-Two and worth every penny to invest in!
Catch everything is something i kinda struggle with i dont like using balls other then the red balls and i dont wanna buy a auto catcher until i do my other stuff.
When I was going hard core on Deoxys raids I went in and powered my 14/15/15 Yveltal up to level 35.5 combined with my raid group alternating slots with mega Gyarados and mega Houndoom we took those DDs down super fast.
Got to 5 million at my highest about a month ago thanks to your lore! It went down to 3.5-ish due to some necessity power-ups over the course of these endless events and challenges, but I did set my latest benchmark at 4 milly. It'll stay there as I climb back up to 5. My last max outs with stiff tariffs were the three L50 requirements to get to L47 and that was close to about 1.5M on the dust. I am currently grooming future Megas by incrementally pumping up my best Pokeys that will eventually get their big-shot releases and I feel those are worthwhile investments. I will try to get beyond 5M later this year but...oof...such a tough grind!
Man he was talking about me when he went on about GBL lol!!! I’ve watched videos and was like....”yo I need that Pokémon with those moves” and blew a bunch of dust on it only to find it wasn’t that great
Thanks as always for the stardust tips! I’ve been following tips from earlier videos and quickly got to my 1mil benchmark and I’m only level 36. Now at 1.12mil :) !
One more important tip to add, power up lucky pokemon, it is half of the stardust cost. When I returned to the game I immediatelly traded everything to get luckies and then I was powering up meta pokemon for cheap, this gave me time to focus on other things having all the meta pokemon ready since I was lvl35
I spend dust for the GBL and it seems to be a worthy investment from my viewpoint. I have probably put 1,000,000 into it but I have gotten a return of 7,000,000 over time. I got 300,000 from the last go battle night as well when the sets were unlocked for 20. Of course, this is highly situational as I place rank 21 (10 before it was changed) or above every season. I have done thousands and thousands of battles with my meta teams for every league but it’s all about playing your cards right with the meta which makes it hard, not to mention the time consuming process. It’s another can of worms just for dust but I have found it rewarding.
Just go into the encounter and run away, it will stack. No need to feed berries, but that's not a bad idea as the berry effect stays with the pokemon until you encounter it again. Max you can stack is 100, then starts dropping the oldest. No there is no way to keep track of how many stacked. Have fun!
I like the Monday morning adventure sync idea, but the cost is prohibitive for me. 12 rocket radars, 12 incubators, and a star piece every week busts my budget. But if you have $40 a week to spend on this part of the game, it does look like a fantastic way to max out stardust.
Hey great video but what’s your recommendation on the special field research from pokestops that say power up 5-10 times for mega energy’s? I personally have spent a lot of stardust this month getting mega energy and still need gengar mega energy
I currently have 20k stardust because I maxed out some 100% but I'm doing the whole c day with star pieces so I can reach at least 500k and never go under it
You really helped me when I started back playing in 2019! I was inspired by your tips to create a tag called “next”. The only things I keep on that tag are ones I need to power up for current and upcoming raid bosses. It’s really helped me stay focused on team building and any time I have extra dust or rare candies I dump them into one from that tag! ❤️🙌
I feel you, my group all work full time even on weekends. We just ordered Go-tchas so well see if it helps us. Idk how orher full time workers can grind on this 😭 im not allowed to use my phone, just run in in the back ground and hatch eggs since I walk all day
Another thing is if you happen to have your 7 day catch streak fall on Monday as well. I’m at a 3.5 million baseline currently and am at 3.93 currently. Sitting on a 96% shadow Zapdos, 96% shadow Machop, and 91% shadow Mamoswine for the next chance we have to TM Frustration. Trying to have enough in the bank to max those when the time is right
Tip: If you‘re Rank 20 and don‘t want to fight or you haven‘t enough Time , then just go in the fight and Go out for the 25 battles which could give you about 30.000 Stardust for doing Nothing
What I've done is capture weather boosted pokemon, do a raid, and have battled grunts, i need to battle 6 for the rocket radar every grunt give 500 stardust when defeated so if i battle 6 that's 3,000 stardust but most importantly i have restrained myself from powering anything so it stacks up! That reminds me today i get my 7 day streak, another good way to get stardust easily is gbl it doesn't not give much but it does stack (edit: i heard you get more the higher your rank) also adventure sync and research breakthrough, i went from only having 9,000 stardust left (because i maxed a hundo greninja) to having 146,000 stardust in less than 7 days! And now with billy's tips i can maybe even max that number more :D Edit: forgot to mention the more important part im hatching alot of eggs i try to just get 5, 10, or 12km eggs but it's hard since i only got 1 incubator
I just started playing Pokémon go in February of this year. All of this is super confusing and I “desire” to have good Pokémon raiders and good Pokémon for great league.... What do you suggest? Will melmetal and all of the other really good Pokémon be back? Or am I just o late to the game? 🤔🤭
Could you make a video on what pokemon should have second charge moves? I have played for 3 years and still don't have a single pokemon with a second move because idk what is worth the dust
Second charge moves are generally used for battling in GBL. Other then that, counters for raids only use one preferred charge move. So unless you battle in GBL, I wouldn't waste the star dust. However, battling in GBL is a great way to earn star dust, so it might be worth the dust to give a team a second move. Hope this helps.
Weird, i'm lvl 28 and have over 400k dust. I did play for a few weeks back at launch, not sure if this would account for the difference but 50k-400k is massive difference. You must be spending it right?
Might be frowned upon, but getting a phone rocker is probably one of the best investments to get dust. hatch a 2km egg in c.12mins or a 10km in an hour. Easy dust when you aren't actually out and about playing. Hatch about 70 eggs a week (on the low end at 1k average per egg)
If you absolutely want to max our your Rayquaza, go ahead. This video is also just a suggestion. No one says you can't (unless you're missing candy or stardust). Maxing out Rayquaza RN won't really help you in any Raids (No Dragon Raids in sight, and nothing that's weak to Flying either). But it sure feels great to have such a monster in your possession.
I currently have 500k stardust at level 34. I only started playing pokemon go in mid February though. Still learning but I've done many of these tips since day one especially catching everything. I did power up a few pokemon though just because I needed some decent ones for raids. I'm going to start with million benchmark from here on out.

But how do you get multiple battle passes to start building the stardust up
@@Momo-xs8mo you don't need premium, if you battle well in regular you can get about 1.5k dust in 5 rounds. Its slow but you just gotta grind
@@sigisoltau6073 Daaaamn! I had no idea! Thank you! You've convinced me! I wish I had enough XL candies to also max out the 2 98% I have!
At the moment I only check for shinys because of the next C-Day because I'm relativly low on balls and in my village there are just 8 Pokestops
We understand your problem. 😓
open gifts every day
@@4coldfeet39 I already do that but its not enough
Do you have gyms? Try get as much coins as possible and boost your bag space hard so you can stock up on balls for comm days :)
I always see it as imma get that stardust back also research evolved Pokémon tasks are good for the 7th day catch too
Excellent advise! One thing I ask you discuss, can you make a video about people who hoard Stardust and never power up anything. Example they got 20 mil Stardust and level 20 or 25 legendaries and never power them up,never when they are relevant.
Loved the tips Billy! Thank you for sharing the knowledge 🙏🏽💪🏽
The only 2nd charged attack pokémon of mine is talonflame because it's so cheap, and it was a meta thing
after setting stardust benchmarks and now im at 2.77million stardust, (im mainly a pvp/gbl player), now stardust isnt even a problem, the only thing to worry about is candy. it was easy to drop 230k to test a new team(the team was good and i won with it a lot). pokemon for gbl are a good investment since you get so much stardust from gbl anyways. minimum 20k a day
Never ceases to amaze me how much knowledge you have on the game. I’m the most hardcore player that I know and still am a noob in light of how you play. I would love to be in a position one day to do the things you do for the game. Thank you for all the tips and information you give to everyone! You have taught me a lot and help me enjoy the game more and more.
Is stacking rocket eggs really worth it compared to hatching 24 eggs per day? My galaxy s8 drifts like crazy so I drift approx 60km/day just having the app open on my desk all day so I hatch approximately 24eggs per day.
How do you get so many incubators
@@Suveer5518 the coin shop?? Lol you get 15 for 1480 coins.
@@lagavulinmtg5120 that’s wayyy too many coins for me
Thanks for the tips but do you have any videos on inventory management
He does. Go search his video library.
I started with the 1 million bench mark as you suggested in an earlier video, but then thought if Billy sets his benchmark higher there is a good reason so grinding to 10 million as my benchmark.
THANK U SM !!! I havent played since launch , and everything has been overwhelming and your channel has been a life saver ! Sub4Life
Good tips I usually stay within the 1,900,000 & 2million mark.
He makes better and more informative videos than mystic 7. I hope you get to a million soon✨✨✨✨
Very good video man! I have always done those things, although it's a bit more difficult for me to do the "catch-em-all" part 😅
Nice video man keep up the good work and get that stardust!!
Thank you for all tips and tricks you making me fall in love with Pokémon go again in a faster way
Needed this so bad. Thanks 👍🏽
Just surpassed 14 Mil dust, i do follow your tips and pointers 👌👌
Wow. You have GREAT tips here. Thank you!
Happy to help out
Got to 5 million at my highest about a month ago thanks to your lore!
Welcome to the trainer club, let's goo
How can we stack field event encounters? I’m afraid when I run it’ll go away lol I’ve never stacked them before
if you give berries they stack up.
Just go into the encounter and run away, it will stack. No need to feed berries, but that's not a bad idea as the berry effect stays with the pokemon until you encounter it again. Max you can stack is 100, then starts dropping the oldest. No there is no way to keep track of how many stacked. Have fun!
I used to spent stardust on bad iv pokemon when I started playing and now I regret it😄
Just got back into the game, your videos are awesome
With an invite code?
I save a lot of stardust by not powering up shadow pokemon. That 20% penalty hits hard.
I like the Monday morning adventure sync idea, but the cost is prohibitive for me. 12 rocket radars, 12 incubators, and a star piece every week busts my budget. But if you have $40 a week to spend on this part of the game, it does look like a fantastic way to max out stardust.
Do i power up a shadow zapdos 96% will it be a good addition i caught it today
Yes 96 is very good
Yes, they are very useful for raid attackers and among the best electric types. Also, DON'T purify it to make it a hundo.
Thanks will do
I won't purify
Thanks for the video bro❤️
Dang man, do you ever run out of breath, I could not keep up 😂😎😆,
We subscribed! From sunny Chula Vista!
I feel there's an exception to 2nd charged moves. Example riolu other babies mons, altaria, I think maybe magicarp?
66666yyyyy
675,000 I am
It's hard to get stardust when I work every spotlight hour
Get a gotcha
Trying to have enough in the bank to max those when the time is right
I’ve been following Billy for about two years now and his tips are absolutely essential. Listen to this man! Best overall Pokémon Go UA-camr by far
Appreciate you 😁😁😁
@@TheTrainerClub here we gooooo!
Question if i have 6 100%iv machamp then 92% shadow. Is it worth it to power up my shadow? Machamp rank in raid getting lower. Thanks
Yes, powering up a good iv shadow Machamp is always a good idea. They are the best fighting raid counter there is.
And now with billy's tips i can maybe even max that number more :D
Edit: forgot to mention the more important part im hatching alot of eggs i try to just get 5, 10, or 12km eggs but it's hard since i only got 1 incubator
I just started playing Pokémon go in February of this year. All of this is super confusing and I “desire” to have good Pokémon raiders and good Pokémon for great league.... What do you suggest? Will melmetal and all of the other really good Pokémon be back? Or am I just o late to the game? 🤔🤭
I didnt play last year soo is it the same thing every year? Seems like all these 1 year videos fit in exactly right where we’re at today
Hope this helps.
thanks this are amazing tips
Just stumbled across this here, can you please explain the stacking the stage 2 and 3 again i dident get it from the video
thanks for the tips!(:
I'm lvl35, 3months in POGO and 50k stardust. Struggling every day. Discipline and strategy!
Let’s go. You got this
Weird, i'm lvl 28 and have over 400k dust. I did play for a few weeks back at launch, not sure if this would account for the difference but 50k-400k is massive difference. You must be spending it right?
When stacking 2nd and 3rd evolution tasks by running why do you use a Razz Berry?
I didn't get the last hardcore tip... Could u please explain that.... That stacking of 2nd and 3rd evolution... Could you please explain it to me...
I'm lost, what is stacking 2nd and 3rd evolution? And you described running from them after giving a berry... why? Where do people learn these things?
Current bench mark is 6 million. I thank you for your tips they are so helpful.
My dude has 30M, my minimum amount of stardust is 100k 😂
Me too 😅
My benchmark is literally 0😐
If Pumpkaboo isn’t this year’s Halloween event Pokémon, I’ll be severely disappointed in Niantic.
Thank you!
Thumbnail: DONT, WAIT
Me: welp time to max my rattatas now
Me who Maxxed Every Useless Things and Double Move- 😭😭
Can you tell the list of pokemon which are worth giving second charge move
Good video thank you. I tried that benchmark thing.... Epic fail!!😂
ah damn got rayquaza 100 iv
plan to power up him because i like it
but see this video i have to think twice xD
If you absolutely want to max our your Rayquaza, go ahead.
This video is also just a suggestion. No one says you can't (unless you're missing candy or stardust).
Maxing out Rayquaza RN won't really help you in any Raids (No Dragon Raids in sight, and nothing that's weak to Flying either). But it sure feels great to have such a monster in your possession.
@@Janders797 yeah i think i go for that but not up to max lvl
For a second i thought you wanna say "Gotta catch'em all"
Great video
I currently have 500k stardust at level 34. I only started playing pokemon go in mid February though. Still learning but I've done many of these tips since day one especially catching everything. I did power up a few pokemon though just because I needed some decent ones for raids. I'm going to start with million benchmark from here on out.
Thanks i really need dust now ❤🧡💛💚💙💜can predict this video would helpful like all of his vids :D
