    I always do this for canned tuna and salmon but never thought about doing it with trout. Sounds delicious!

    looks great, Rod...I agree with you...not my favorite fish to eat. I'm going to try that with kokanee

    Looks amazing Rod!!! We do this with Salmon but haven't tried it with trout, will have to try it out. We usually add some fine diced onion, dill and a Squirt of lemon juice 👍

    I can salmon in jars, and when I make sandwiches, I add finely chopped onions, chopped cucumber chips, and a dash of garlic powder if I didn't can with garlic. I will definitely do this with trout now, thanks! When I was a Navy Quartermaster, I used to correct Charts at night, so I could concentrate without interruptions, so I can identify with your editing times! Great video, Rod!

      We've canned salmon in the past and usually we throw a jar into a pot of mac and cheese. I love it! 🙂

    This is the only way I’ll eat leftover trout! Except I add onion, pickle etc😁 Better than tuna salad in my opinion!

    I like finely chopped green onion as it's taste isn't as strong. Going to try some hard boiled egg next time from reading the other comments.

    what about all the tiny bones? looks delish though. Have you tried smoking them?

      When I pan fried these fillets the day before, I had removed the ribs as well as picked out all the pin bones so they were completely boneless. I haven't tried smoking these trout yet, but I bet they are good! 🙂

      Hard boiled egg! Yes! 👍 I personally don't like hard boiled eggs on their own too much but I do remember having it in tuna salad before and it's good. Thanks!
