@catherinelee3298 they were not that close, she was a child when our Queen got married, 10 years is quite a gap when you're younger the cousin our Queen was close to for years was Margaret Rhodes our Queen Mother's niece she lived at Buckingham Palace during the war on V.E night she went with the Queen, Margaret and others around London and she would go riding with HM
Princess Alexandra was a Dear Dear Confident to The late Gracious Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She stays inobtrudively but Always present in the Background of Royal engagements ,especially with The Queen when she lived. I was so happy to see her at the Coronation Ceremony of King Charles lll. She was a the most Perfect Support as his Mother's best friend and first Cousin. Thank you for this brief showcase of the Lovely Princess Alexandra. She and Prince Michael of Kent and the Duke of Kent living History of the Golden years of the UK Monarchy. Long May She Continue to Serve. ❤️🇬🇧🙏
would she have been a confident of our late Queen's, she was 10 when Alexandra was born and when our Queen married Alexandra was 11, and most of her childhood was spent at their country house and Elizabeth was in London and during the war Alexandra lived with Queen Mary miles away when the heirs do become Monarchs the only person they can discuss SOME of their job with in the royal family is their Consort
After the coronation of King Charles III, I was wondering who princess Alexandra was. This well organized and narrated video explained everything. Thank you.❤ this! Great work.
A lovely lady. I remember when Princess Alexandra visited ,Australia. To be more specific, when she visited Camperdown in country Victoria by train. My brother, Robert was quite tall, dressed in a Garbadine coat, was taking lits of photos. Nobody stopped him probably because he looked like a member of the press. Her visit was one of the highlights of my childhood. A very lovely lady.💝💝
I have the greatest respect and admiration for HRH Princess Alexandra of Kent. She has supported the Crown during the reign of her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and will continue to do so during the reigh of HM King Charles III. She is my favotire princess and after the late Queen Elizabeth II, my favorite royal.
HEH Princess Alexandra has had a remarkable journey throughout her lifetime. She has always continued to work with a positive attitude & accept life in doing so. Her work has spread through lifetimes. Her courage in the face of so much is a lesson many could learn from. I don’t believe it wasn’t an accident he was seated so close to Harry at the Coronation. I doubt he noticed in his current self absorbed state of mind. Hopefully, he will before it’s too late. She had much more tragedy & heartache than he could ever understand yet she continued on without complaining.
Princess Alexandra is the only one left with Both the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II (yellow ribbon badge) AND the Royal Family Order of King George VI (pink). Missed not seeing them on her sash in the official coronation portrait. I wonder why? Would have been perfect continuity, maybe last chance for it. Only one official portrait after all. Too bad really. She looked great.
She is STILL the unsung heroine of the Royal Family. Duty before everything. I remember like yesterday her wedding. She has an unforgettable smile. I have heard that she predicted that Diana would not survive "the system".
Well, she was certainly in a position to express her opinion on that subject--she's William's godmother and supposedly asked Diana's opinion on how best to deal with Marina's escapades.
Princess Alexandra is well shown in this video. Thank you. However, in future, please abandon the special effect pink and yellow filters that you have cutting in and out over old video footage. It's distracting, unpleasant, and cheapens the final product.
She is pure class. Lovely lady. I bet she misses the Queen. 😢

In Brisbane Australia we have the Princess Alexandra Hospital in memory of her visit.
The Royal Alexandra Hospital was opened. In Paislry. SCOTLAND BY The Princess. My father was a patient at that time
I worked there for the last 15 years of my working life, prior to my retirement.
Huge Respect to this very warm , humble and Gracious Woman.

I can believe you didn't know who Princess Alexandra is. Did you go to school in the UK?
Princess Alexandra was there in many Royal Photo's, she is so graceful, another asset to the Royal Family.
Nice Lady with blue blood...a life of service 😊👏👍
Always on every special lady. How proud we were in our part of Scotland when she married Angus Ogilvy.
I saw Princess Alexandra in Australia, she is and was so beautiful and regal.
She is still so graceful, elegant and beautiful. God bless you. Sherman.
Princess Alexandra is my all time favourite Royal next to our late Queen Elizabeth. God Bless her. ❤️❤️❤️
HRH truly possesses an elegant presence and natural bearing.
Although she seems to be forgotten, I still remember her. I remember when she visited Australia in 1959.

Our Princess Alexander hospital is named after her and she opened it as well, in Brisbane Australia
Then I don't think it's named Princess Alexander Hospital. Ha!
@@tooma4886 what are you haha about. Princess Alexandra or P.A. for short. What planet have you been on
@@suenichol6554 You said that Princess AlexandER hospital was named after her. You obviously can't spell or take a joke.

she is all but retired, she's in a wheelchair now and hasn't performed and engagements and she has never said anything about Diana
Marina is not the only royal who told all.
